Does Peyton ride off in the sunset w/ a title or does Cam keep the Carolina momentum that Steph Curry had & make it his time #oldschoolnewschool

That time has arrived ladies & gentleman! The best 2 teams in each conference has arrived in Santa Clara & we’ll see a 60 min battle to see which team will call themselves champion! Interesting story lines here. One team has a sure 1st ballot hall of fame quarterback who might having his last rodeo & the other team has the new breed in quarterback who is enjoying a MVP type season with less weapons around & he’s also African American, so race is definitely an issue, even though we never had this problem in the last 3 super bowls in which Colin Kapernick & Russell Wilson, also of different diversity were starting qbs. Let’s break down the big game shall we.

Super Bowl 50

Carolina vs Denver- The top seeds in the AFC & NFC will meet up in the big game! The Broncos had to grind out an defensive battle to defeat the Pats while the Panthers high powered offense exploded on the Cardinals & made Carson Palmer’s life an living hell w/ 6 turnovers. 2015 has been the year of Cam Newton. 45 total tds (35 passing, 10 rushing) this year & he did a lot w/ little help. When kelvin Benjamin went down in the preseason, everyone thought the offense would suffered, but Ted Ginn Jr., Jonathan Stewart, Greg Olson & Philly Brown have stepped up their game & the defense was tough & top notch w/ Short, Kuechly, Thomas Davis, & Josh Norman. For the Broncos, it was like transition yr for them. Peyton Manning’s arm wasn’t the same & he struggled this yr w/ accuracy. It was so bad that he was banged up & Brock Ostweiler had to start some games for him. Their defense was top ranked & it was the reason they won vs the Steelers & Pats. Can that Broncos defense slow down Cam? Will the Broncos run on the Panthers? Those are some interesting questions for this game. The Panthers are a td fave. I like the Panthers to win & cover the spread. I know most of America would like to see Peyton win & ride off in the sunset, but them Panthers & Cam especially are clicking on all cylinders.

Noez:

Randy:

In the conference championship pick’s, all 3 of us went 1-1. Overall, Randy killed us w/ his large margin at 165-100 while I’m looking up at 156-109 while Noez rounds out at 138-114. It was a fun yr doing these picks & thanks to Randy & Noez for their consideration for their picks all season & thanks to anyone who read the blogs all yr. We’ll find out this weekend who’ll makes the hall of fame, but we already had some off season news w/ Megatron pulling a Barry Sanders & retiring, leaving 4 yrs & $15.95 mil on the table while the Browns are parting ways with Johnny Manziel. Happy birthday to my aunt Julietta Williams & Alana Davis. Birthday shootouts rest of the week to David Priest, Gus Sanchez, Regina Barba, Danielle Trento, Mo Chavez, Kopis Georgalos, & Christina Tapia. Catch ya’ll on the next blog when we are NBA oriented!! Peace!!!

The final 4!! Which 2 will punch their to Super Bowl 50 #conferencetitleweekend

And then there were 4! Yes, we are getting down to the nitty, gritty. It’s the conference championship game weekend & we have the top 2 seeds in each conference remaining, only 1 team can punch their ticket to the big game in Santa Clara in 2 weeks. Last week’s game saw the Chiefs having no pressure to get to Brady in the Pats’ win, the Packers/Cards game was an instant classic from the hail mary, failed flipped coin toss to the winning td, Carolina scoring 31 1st half its & having to hold a late Seahawks 2nd half rally, & the Broncos defense having to save the team in their win over the Steelers. Which 2 teams have what it takes to call themselves conference champs? We’ll find out  who have those bragging rights starting on Sunday

AFC

2) New England vs 1) Denver- For the 17th time in their career, Tom Brady vs Peyton Manning.  Brady owns the match-up 11-5, but Manning’s 2-1 in the last 3 match-ups. The Broncos had to grind it out, overcoming a Steelers defense & poor 1st half executions to win that game. For the Pats, everything was clicking like clockwork in their game vs the Chiefs. Brady had all the time in the world find his targets (mostly Edeleman & Gronk). However, they will be facing a Broncos defense who was the top rated defense in less points avg, & yards per game. Which Manning will show up for this game. It may come to if the Broncos can rattle Brady. The Pats are a fg road fave. I like the Pats by a td.

Noez:

Randy:

NFC

2)Arizona vs 1) Carolina- For the 1st time ever, 2 former Heisman trophy winners get to face off in the conference title game. The Panthers jumped on the Seahawks early in the 1st half, then had to hold them off in the 2nd half to preserve the win. Cam even admitted they were butt tight about almost blowing the game. They probably won’t have Jared Allen available for the game because he suffered a fracture in his foot. however they will have Jonathan Stewart ready. For the Cards, what a game by Larry Fitzgerald last week. It’s like he went into the fountain of youth & rejuvenated his self. His catch & run from the 1st possession in overtime set up his winning score. Even though Carson Palmer looked a lil scared & conservative last week & his 2nd career playoff appearance, he did what he had to do to get his 1st playoff win. This is a rematch of last yr’s wild card game in which the Panthers won 27-14 against a Cardinals team who had to rely on their 3rd string qb Ryan Lindley when both Palmer & his back-up Drew Stanton were banged up. Can the Panthers keep their foot on the pedal if they have a big lead on the Cards? The Panthers are a fg home fave. I like the Panthers to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy:

Last week, yours truly & Randy were the only ones to get all 4 games right to finish at 4-0 while Noez went 1-3. In the overall standings, randy holds a comfortable lead at 164-99 while yours truly is looking up at 155-108 & noes rounds out at 137-113. Hope everyone had a safe MLK weekend. Happy belated b-day shootouts to Nick Gumina & Veronica Nolasco. Happy b-day shootouts this week to Angelika Cuahutle Gad, Candace Jacqueline, Sonia Estrella, the homie Dee Jay Seize, Jessica Canas Carrillo, Robert Delgado, Christina Sue Anthony, Joe Heaven Salazr( see you on Saturday), Anita Montes, Patricia Molina, & Sefa Pumphrey. Before I go, gotta send prayers to my extended family the Lay sisters (Desiree, Sandra, & Raquel) for the passing of their father Jimmy Lay & my buddy Anthony Beltran, who also lost his father last week. Rest in peace to both of them & I’ll catch everyone on the next blog. Peace!!

Divisonal round weekend

Rematch weekend for these 3 qbs. Can Russell & Rodgers get revenge this weekend?

I hope everyone had enjoyed the wild card weekend. Trust me, I did & there was a lot of surprises. Last week, we saw the Chiefs made the Texans look bad & Brian Hoyer wet the bed, the Benagals (especially Adam Jones & Vontaze Burfict) picked a wrong to self destuct, resulting in a Steelers comeback win, Blair Walsh doing his best Ray Finkle impression (laces out) costing the Vikings a win & the Packers finding their mojo back versus the Redskins. We also had some news from non playoff teams as the Browns & Giants hired new coaches in Hue Jackson & Ben McAdoo while the Chargers & Rams will be relocating back to Los Angeles. It’s a homecoming for the Rams, who left 21 yrs ago & it’s been a while since the city has a team. I wonder what have in store for this weekend. Let’s break down the divisional round.

Saturday

Kansas City vs New Engalnd- The Chiefs are coming off a dominating performance last week in Houston & they were lucky that Jeremy Maclin’s injury wasn’t that serious & it was only a high ankle sprain. For the Pats, they had two weeks to shake off that loss in Miami & it also gave some players who were banged up time to heal. Only news they made this week was Belechik showing up yesterday sporting a black-eye & Chandler Jones being released from a hospital after a medical issue. I wonder if they will have a weather issue like it was in Minnesota. Can the Chiefs slow down Brady & the offense, who will have Edelman back. The Pats are a 5 pt home have. I like the Pats to win & take the slight over.

Noez:

Randy: New England

Green Bay vs Arizona- The Packers found their mojo back last week in their win over the Packers. They got a balanced attack from their running game & that took the pressure off Aaron Rodgers. He struggled a little bit in the 1st qtr, but woke up in the 2nd qtr & it carried on til the end off the game. For the Cards, they want to shake off that home loss to Seattle two weeks ago. They had to sign Jason Babin to fill in Alex Okafor’s sopt.. It’s also a rematch from 3 weeks when the Cards pretty much destroyed the Packers, getting 8 sacks on Rodgers. Can that Packers offensive line protect Rodgers & will the running  game show up again? The Cards are a td home fave. I like the Cards to win & cover the points.

Noez:

Randy: Arizona

Sunday

Seattle vs Carolina- The game of the week!! The Panthers get home field advantage & might have Jonathan Stewart bad for this contest. For the Seahawks, they have to thank Blair Walsh for their win as he missed a gimmie in the final seconds for their win. It was an ugly win because of the 10-9 score. They should have Marshawn Lynch ack for this game. It’s a rematch from week 6 when the Panthers came back & defeat the Seahawks 27-23 in Seattle. That was around the time the Seahawks were blowing 4th qtr leads & they couldn’t stop the opposing tight ends. It’s going be a defensive affair & Josh Norman doesn’t care that they are facing the NFC champs. The Panthers are 2.5 home faves. I like the Panthers by a fg.

Noez:

Randy: Carolina

Pittsburgh vs Denver- A rematch from week 15 in which the Steelers had to overcome a 21-7 1st half defect to defeat the Broncos in Pittsburgh. This time, the rem atch’s in Denver & they have some questions heading into this game. Number 1 is the health of Ben Roethlisberger, who suffered torn ligaments in his throwing shoulder as well as a sprained AC joint. He’s day to day & the other question is Antonio Brown, who’s in the concussion protocol thanks to Vontaze Burfict. Speaking of the Bengals, I don’t know why Pacman thinks he’s faking thet injury. They also might not have Deangelo Williams for this game. I guess it’s really next man up for the Black & Yellow. For the Broncos, they’ll have Peyton Manning back for this game & hope that Demarcus Ware will be healthy. It’s gonna come to the defense of both teams & quarterback play. It’s an even pick em for this game. I like the Broncos because the Steelers are so banged up.

Noez:

Randy: Denver

Last week, yours truly & Randy went 2-2 in the wild card picks while Noez went 1-3. Like I said earlier in the blog, congrats on the Browns for the hiring of Hue Jackson & the Rams coming back to Los Angeles. Happy b-day shootouts this week to Anthony Prieto, Antoinette Martinez, Michael Vargas, Regine Buenviber, Charlie Salas, Jayo Bossluv, Milinda Foley, Sheronda Hogue, & Yvette Calzada. Hope everyone has a safe MLK weekend. Let’s keep this streak going Cavs & I’m out. Peace!!

wild card weekend

0ap3000000618847

The postseaon party starts this weekend & out of these 4 qbs’ pictured, only 2 of them have rings to prove it #bigboypants

What time is it, it’s playoff time! Yeah, I said it, it’s the postseason. The time of year where 12 teams fight over one goal & that’s to be called champion. Last week, we saw the Bills do the Steelers a favor by spoiling the Jets’ chance to join the party, the Texans & Vikings clinching their respective divisions on the final week & we saw 7 teams already looking for new coaches (6 fired, Lovie Smith the one that shocked me & Coughlin resigning). What do we have in store for the wild card weekend? We”ll find our starting on Saturday! Let’s break down these games.

Saturday

Kansas City vs Houston- The Chiefs are the hot team rolling in the postseason winning their last 10 games, but they haven’t won a playoff game in 22 yrs. So they are looking to break that slump. You may say Alex Smith’s a game manager, but he’s getting the job done & the defense has been on point. For the Texans, they handled their business by winning the AFC South on the final week & they have been finding ways to win games, whether if it’s going through 4 abs (Mallet, Hoyer, Weeden, Yates back to Hoyer) or Arian Foster having another season ending injury. This is also a rematch of week 1 in which the Chiefs won by a score of 27-20. The Chiefs are a fg road have. I like the Chiefs to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy:

Pittsburgh vs Cincinnati- Round 3 of this AFC North battle in which both teams have won on the opposing team’s field. For the Steelers, they did their job by spanking my Browns, despite it was played ugly & Deangelo Williams spraining his ankle & his availability is uncertain. They should also thank Rex Ryan & the Bills for knocking out the Jets from the postseason. For the Bengals, they are coming off a home win over the Ravens & they might have Andy Dalton back for this game. Funny part is that ever since they drafted him, they haven’t won a playoff game yet. Could this be the yr they shake that monkey off? The Steelers are a fg road fave. I like the Bengals to finally get this win for Dalton & Marvin Lewis

Noez:

Randy:

Sunday

Seattle vs Minnesota- The Vikings got  to host this game by defeating the Packers in Lambeau, thus clinching the NFC North title. This will be the 1st playoff game for Bridgewater & the 2nd one for Adrian Peterson, so they are young to this experience. For the Seahawks, they came into this game w/ momentum after spanking the Cards in their house in the last game of the season. This is also another regular season rematch w/ the Seahawks spanking them in  Minnesota as well. The Seahawks should have Marshawn Lynch back & that would take the pressure off Russell Wilson from carrying this team. The weather conditions for this weekend is like in the 10’s. It’s going to be cold! The Seahawks are 6 pt road faves. Something is telling me that the Vikings could steal this game. The Seahawks have been this far in the postseason the last 2 yrs & it might get to them.

Noez:

Randy:

Green Bay vs Washington- The Redskins get to host this game by winning the NFC East & they are also streaking, winning their last 4 games. This will be Kirk Cousins 1st playoff start (he did relieve RG III in the game in he tore his ACL). However, in the win over the Cowboys last week, they were getting banged up & hope some of those bodies have healed up. For the Packers, they blew the division w/ that home loss to Minnesota & they have a lot of questions entering the postseason (slow receivers & which Eddie Lacy would show up). They need a balanced game to defeat the Redskins. It’s a pick ’em for this game as the Packers are a pt fave. I like the Packers to win this one (experience factor in the postseason)

Noez:

Randy:

Last week, Randy closed out the regular season w/ a 9-7 showing while myself & Noez finished at 8-8. Overall, Randy’s at 158-97 while I’m looking up at him at 149-106 & Noez rounding out at 139-108. Hope everyone had a safe New year’s! Happy belated b-day shootouts to my girls Natalie Guzman & Brittney Lynn. Happy b-day this week to Mel Newberry, my cousin Nikki Reynolds, Jessica Lara, Rebecca Waters, David Tang, Faby Obispo, Daniel ‘Dumpty’ Garcia, Yvette Garcia, my girl Nancy Bolanos, & last but not least, the lil bro Terrance Brewster. We still miss you lil bro. Congrats to Ken Griffey Jr. & Mike Piazza on making the baseball hall of fame & I’ll catch everyone on the next blog. Peace!!

week 17 preview

the season’s bout to end, but out of these 4 guys, who deserves to be the MVP

It’s finally here people! The final week of the regular season & we still have 2 divisions & a final wild card spot open to clinch. Last week, we saw the Redskins winning the NFC East & Philly cutting ties w/ Chip Kelly, the Panthers finally getting on the lost column, the Steelers having an embarrassing lost to the Ravens, thus giving the Jets, who defeated the Pats in a wild OT game thanks to a Belichik blunder a chance to control their destiny, & the Broncos winning the final MNF game on the 2015-2016 season. Let’s break down these games shall we.

Sunday

NY Jets vs Buffalo- Round 2 of the Jets vs Rex Ryan. Rex won the 1st match-up in MetLife Stadium. It’s plain simple for the Jets: win & they’re in the playoffs. They’re on a 5 game winning streak & I think Fowles should be in the running for coach of the yr along w/ Ron Rivera for him turning the team around. For the Bills, they defeated the Cowboys last week & one more win has them finishing at 8-8. I know Rex would like nothing but to spoil his former team’s postseason chances. The Jets are 3 pt road faves. I like the Jets to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy:

New England vs Miami- The Pats wish they could had took that chance to kick the ball off in overtime. That was the worst thing Belechik has ever done besides going on 4th & 2 in Indy couple of yrs ago. Funny part is that they haven’t clinched home field through out yet as it’s wild open. For the Dolphins, a brain fart by the offensive line cost them a chance to defeat the Colts last week. The Dolphins are just looking to finish the season strong. The Pats are 10 road faves. I like the Pats to win, but take the under.

Noez:

Randy:

Baltimore vs Cincinnati- The Ravens sorta put a wrench hold on the Steelers playoff chances last week w/ that surprising win. They also should be happy that Steve Smith, who was suppose to retire this yr, decided to come back for another yr. I figured he would because he didn’t want his last image of him on the field was being carried out after tearing his ACL. For the Bengals, tough road loss on monday vs the Broncos which hurts because they’ll have to play a wild card game instead of having a 1st round bye. It’s a divisional battle, so expect everyone to go hard. The Bengals are 9 its home faves. I like the Bengals to go into the playoffs w/ a win.

Noez:

Randy:

Pittsburgh vs Cleveland- Last week, I said the Steelers was the team that nobody wanted to see in the playoffs. Then, the Ravens game happened. I don’t know why the Steelers always play down to their competition. W/ the loss, they don’t control their own destiny & now need the Jets to lose to get in the playoffs. For my Browns, I was surprised that they kept it close w/ the Chiefs. They could had won, but a brain fart at the end cost them. I’m just anxious for this season to end. The organization is going to bring in Ron Wolf to be a consultant to Haslem & both Farmer & Pettine could be gone. Manziel’s under the concussion protocol for this game & Terelle Pryor might see some reps at QB this game. The Steelers are 10 pt road faves. Nothing would make me more happier if the Browns spoil the Steelers’ postseason hopes. I got my Browns in an upset.

Noez:

Randy:

Jacksonville vs Houston- The Texans pretty much have to win to clinch the AFC South. Who’s going to start the game, we don’t know yet. Brian Hoyer’s in the final stages of the concussion protocol, you still have Weeden, who’s filled in nicely the last two games. For the Jags, tough road loss, but they just need couple more playmakers & they’ll could be making noise for the playoffs next yr. The Texans are 6 pt home faves. I like the Texans to win this game.

Noez:

Randy:

Tennessee vs Indianapolis- For the Colts, it’s pretty simple: they need to win & hope the Texans lose to win the division. That’s the only way they’ll see the postseason. It’s bad that both Andrew Luck & Matt Hasselback are banged up & Charlie Whitehurst’s on IR. They just signed Josh Freeman, who hasn’t been in the league for like a yr to save them. For the Titans, disastrous record & I know Mariotta was sick to his stomach for these many losses in his rookie yr. They’re going have a top 3 pick next yr, so no quarterback will be needed. No spread for this game. I like the Colts to win an ugly game.

Noez:

Randy:

Washington vs Dallas- The Redskins have won the NFC East for the 1st time in 3 yrs after defeating the Eagles last week. Last time they won the division, RG III was the qb & Kirk Cousins was the back-up. Now it’s Cousins time to shine while Griffin couldn’t be activated for the games. I’ll be surprised he and Colt McCoy see the field this game since the Redskins have the wild card game next week. For the Cowboys, tough loss in Buffalo & like I said, injuries to Romo & Dez Bryant hurt them. I know if they had DeMarco Murrary, they wouldn’t be in this situation. It’s rebuilding time for the Cowboys. The Cowboys are 3.5 home faves. I like the Redskins, whether it’s RG III or McCoy under center, to win this game.

Noez:

Randy:

Philadelphia vs NY Giants- Phil Shumur, former Browns coach, will get to coach the Eagles in this season finale after the organization said deuces to Chip Kelly. Eagles fan are so excited bout this decision. He was a great coach, but his GM skills were questionable. For the Giants, they got spanked by the Vikings in Minnesota. It hurt that Odell Beckham was suspended. He’s back this game, but it might be the end for Tom Coughlin, who’s contract up after the season. He’s won them 2 rings, but it seems he’s always on the hot seat every yr. Divisional battle, expect a hard nose battle to finish out. The Giants are 3.5 home faves. I like the Giants to win this game.

Noez:

Randy:

Detroit vs Chicago- NFC North battle to end the yr. Both teams are just looking to finish strong. For the Lions, could this be the last time we’ll see Calvin Johnson in a Lions uniform? He’s owed $21 mil next yr & the organization probably would love to get out of that deal. For the Bears, we probably will see Matt Forte in a Bears uniform for the final time. They are looking to rebuild. No spread for this game. I like the Lions in this contest.

Noez:

Randy:

New Orleans vs Atlanta- NFC South battle to end the season. Despite the Falcons defeating the Panthers to knock them out from running the table, they were eliminated from the postseason chance thanks to the Vikings win over the Giants. They are looking to finish 9-7 in Dan Quinn’s 1st yr as coach. For the Saints, they are coming off a home win over the Jags & just looking to finish the yr strong. Could this be Drew Brees’ last game as a Saints qb? He’s owed $30 mil next yr & that’ll be a massive cap hit. Expect a shootout here. The Falcons are 4 pt home faves. I like the Falcons to win this match-up.

Noez:

Randy:

Oakland vs Kansas City- The Chiefs have already clinched a playoff berth, but can clinch the AFC West should they win & the Broncos lose to the Chargers. The Chiefs almost had a trap game vs the Browns but still came out w/ the win. For the Raiders, it’s the end of Charles Woodson’s career. He’s a hall of famer in my opinion. After the win over the Chargers in the final game in Oakland, they are looking to finish at .500 w/ a win. Things are looking up for the Raiders for next yr. Chiefs are a td home have. I like the Chiefs to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy;

Tampa Bay vs Carolina- Cam vs Jameis pt. 2. The Panthers pretty much have a 1st round bye, but a win could clinch home field throughout the NFC. I know they wanted to run the table, but I think that loss to Atlanta was the best thing that could happened to them. For the Bucs, a win could have them finish at 7-9. Lovie could have them in the playoffs next yr. The Panthers are 10 pt home faves. I like the Panthers to win, but take the under.

Noez:

Randy:

San Diego vs Denver- It’s simple for the Broncos: win & they clinch the AFC West. They were happy to get that to win over the Bengals last week because they were falling down to the pack of the AFC’s best teams. Could this be Osweiler’s final start before Peyton Manning returns for the playoffs? Interesting question here. For the Chargers, final game for them as a franchise in San Diego & they made news by placing Eric Weddle on IR & fining him for violating team policy (watching his daughter perform at halftime). It’s his free agent yr & they doubt he’ll be back. The Bolts just want this season to be over. The Broncos are 9 pt home faves. I like the Broncos by a td.

Noez:

Randy:

Seattle vs Arizona- Both teams have already clinched playoff spots, but the Cards can clinch home field throughout the NFC w/ a win & Panthers lost. The Cards made life a living hell for Aaron Rodgers & the Panthers last week w/ 8 sacks & 2 defensive tds. For the Seahawks, they saw their 5 game winning streak snapped by the Rams last week. It sucks that the Rams won the head to head series this yr, now the Cards are in the same position to do the same thing to them. At least they’ll get Marshawn Lynch back for the playoffs, which is a positive sign. The Cards are 6.5 home faves. I like the Cards to win, but by a fg, so take the under,

Noez:

Randy:

St Louis vs San Francisco- Another NFC West battle to end the season. Both teams are playing for pride this game. For the 49ers, it has been a rough 1st yr for Jim Tomsula & now word is that Mike Holmgrem, who’s retired & a former Bill Walsh disciple, would be interested to coach them should they fired Tomsula after this yr. Another question for them is will Colin Kaepernick be on the roster as well. For the Rams, they’re looking to finish their tenure in St. Louis w/ a win to end at 8-8. Like the Raiders, the ceiling is very high for them w/ Todd Gurley having a 1,000 yd rushing season, the defense is intact. They just need to fix that qb issue & they are set. The Rams are 3.5 road faves. I like the Rams to win this match-up & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy:

Minnesota vs Green Bay- Big game here to end the season & it’s for the NFC North title. Both teams are already clinched playoff spots, but one of them can win the division. For the Vikings, they are coming off a dominating home win over the Giants & Adrian Peterson can also win the rushing title in this contest. For the Packers, they were smacked around in Arizona & probably have a lot of questions to answer before they hit the postseason. It wouldn’t be like this had Jordy Nelson got hurt in the preseason. The Packers are fg home faves. I like the Packers to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy:

Last week, yours truly & Randy were tied for the top spot at 10-6 while Noez was right behind at 9-7. In the overall standings, Randy has pretty much clinched it w/ a big lead at 149-90 with myself chasing at 141-98 & Noez rounding out at 127-100. It has been a great 2015 & I like to thank everyone who read the blogs this whole yr. Happy b-day shootouts to AC Carter, my girl from Sage Diane Munoz, Michael Gil, Monica Silva aka Monitone, the homie Steven Morales aka DJ Swank (kill that shit tomorrow), Johnny Vega, Diana Ruiz, Alfred Macias, my kinfolk Thomas Clarkson V (welcome home), Jimmie Cummings, Christopher “C-Walk” Walker & Fernando Alvarez. Hope everyone have a safe New Year’s eve & catch everyone on the newt blog when we discuss wild card weekend. Go Buckeyes & I’m out! Peace!!!

Pretty much, this is how the Panthers & Josh Norman feel about their haters! Rico Richie approves this message #poppin

It’s coming down to the nitty gritty. Only 2 more weeks left in the regular season & we already having some teams punching their playoff invitations. However, we have 2 divisions & the wild cards remaining to round out the postseason. Last week, we saw the Giants once again give an undefeated team a run for their money, despite the ugly actions of Odell Beckham vs Josh Norman, the Texans relying on their 3rd quarterback (Brandon Weeden) to defeat the Colts, the Chiefs & Seahawks remaining hot, & the Rams & Chargers probably winning their final home games in their respective cities. I wonder what we have in store these final 2 weeks. Let’s hope it’s exciting, starting with tomorrow’s game.

Thursday

San Diego vs Oakland- Emotional night for the Raiders here. It might be their final game in the Bay, but we know it’ll be the final home game for Charles Woodson, who announced his retirement effective after the season. The Raiders are coming off a home loss to the Packers while the Chargers had their so called final game in San Diego resulting in a win over the Dolphins. Funny part is both teams are in partnership for the stadium deal in Carson. It’s weird that these two are playing each other to end the Raiders’ tenure in Oakland. No postseason aspiratons here, but pride. The Raiders are 5.5 home faves. I like to see the Raiders go out w/ a bang & win this game for the fans & Woodson as well.

Noez:

Randy:

Saturday

Washington vs Philadelphia- Believe it or not, the NFC East or as I call it, NFC Least could be decided after this week. The Redskins have gone 2-1 in their last 3 games, including last week’s win over the Bills & at 7-7, they are in 1st place in the division. Kurt Cousins has done his job & the best part is how RG III’s handled the demotion. For the Eagles, even though they suffered a home loss to Arizona, they can still get back in the race should they win this game. Advice for DeMarco Murrary, ask to be traded when the season ends. If Chip Kelly couldn’t fit you in his system, something’s wrong. The Eagles are a fg home fave. I like the Redskins to end this mess & win to clinch the division.

Noez:

Randy:

Sunday

Indianapolis vs Miami- The Colts are suddenly on a down spell, losing their  last 3 games, including last week at home vs the Texans. Hasselback was struggling w/ bruised ribs & his replacement Charlie Whitehurst was struggling as well. Should they be hoping that Andrew Luck come back & save this mess? They hope so. For the Dolphins, a road loss to the Chargers pretty much knocked them out of playoff contention. It’s a big game for the Colts in some way to get back in the AFC South race. The Dolphins are a pt home fave. I like the Dolphins to get a close win since the Colts are struggling.

Noez:

Randy;

New Engalnd vs NY Jets- Big game for both teams. The Pats have already clinched the division, but their goal is to have home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. How they keep winning games w/ their players getting hurt & banged up is surprising to me. For the Jets, a 9 win season, coming off 3 straight wins, but they don’t control their own destiny in the wild card chase. The Jets played them tough the 1st time these 2 met in Foxborro, but the Pats got the win. It has to be a signature game at this point for Fowles & the team. The Pats are fg road faves. I like the Jets to get this signature win.

Noez:

Randy:

Houston vs Tennessee- The Texans have suddenly took over the AFC South, going 3-2 in their last 5 games. They went into Indy & had to use Brandon Weeden after Yates, who was replacing Hoyer, got hurt to defeat a Colts team, who has been struggling lately. For the Titans, not only they did smack around by the Pats in New England, but Mariotta got hurt, pretty much ending his season, yet the team won’t put him on IR. Hope the Texans don’t have a Dr. Jekyll & Mr . Hyde performance here. It’s a picked game. I like the Texans in a close battle.

Noez:

Randy:

Cleveland vs Kansas City- Once again, my Browns have to face a team who’s been on a hot roll. Last week, they were smacked around in Seattle, this week they face a Chiefs teams who have won 8 straight. Believe it or not, they still have a chance to win the AFC West with the Broncos’ recent struggles. My Browns are playing for draft position. The Chiefs are 12 pt home faves. I can’t even pick my Browns to win this game. Gotta go w/ the Chiefs in this contest.

Noez:

Randy:

San Francisco vs Detroit- We have the 49ers, who are coming off a home loss to the Bengals while the Lions are coming off a road win in New Orleans. Pretty much nothing to talk about here. None of these are going to the dance. The Lions are 10 pt home faves. I like the Lions to win, but take the under.

Noez

Randy:

Carolina vs Atlanta- Only 2 more games left for the Panthers to finish the regular season undefeated. The Giants overcame a 28 pt defect to tie the game, but the soon to be league MVP Cam Newton kept his composure, unlike both Beckham & Norman & lead the Panthers downfield to set up the game winning fg. Speaking of Norman, he was hit w/ $25k fine for his actions in the mess between him & Beckham. Ron Rivera also promised no more bat intimidations. For the Falcons, they snapped their 5 game losing streak with their win in Jacksonville to get back to .500. They are still in the playoff hunt, but need a miracle. The Panthers shut them out the 1st match-up, will the Falcons score in this game. The Panthers are a td road fave. I like the Panthers to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy:

Chicago vs Tampa Bay- Lovie gets to face his former team this week. The Bucs are coming off a road loss in St Louis, pretty much eliminating them from the playoff race. However, they still have that chance to finish at .500. For the Bears, another loss, this time to the Vikings. Both teams are playing for pride here. The Bucs are fg home faves. I like the Bucs to win this game & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy:

Dallas vs Buffalo- It’s been getting ugly for the Cowboys. Another loss, this time to the Jets & now they’re just going to start Kellen Moore these final two games since they are eliminated from playoff contention. For the Bills, road loss to the Bills, Shady tears his MCL, but is listed as week to week. The Bills are 6-8, but not eliminated from playoff contention. The Bills are 6 pt home faves. I like the Bills to win this contest

Noez:

Randy:

Pittsburgh vs Baltimore- Don’t look now, but the Steelers are looking like one of those teams you don’t want to see in the playoffs. They had to come back from a 17 pt 1st half deficit to defeat the Broncos at home. Antonio Brown was balling out as well w/ 16 catches on the Broncos top ranked defense. They almost made an error w/ Ben throwing a pick w/ them leading by a td before the 2 min warning & they should had ran out the clock. For the Ravens, home loss for them vs Kansas City. Injuries killed the Ravens this yr. They’ll be back next yr. The Steelers are 10 pt road faves. I like the Steelers to win & take the over.

Noez:

Randy:

Jacksonville vs New Orleans-  Both teams are coming off home losses. The Jags let the Falcons snap their 5 game losing streak on them while the Saints lost to the Lions. No playoff aspirations for these teams here. It’s for pride here. The Saints are 3.5 home faves. I like the Saints to win this game

Noez:

Randy:

Green Bay vs Arizona- Big game for these teams. The Cards have the no. 2 seed in the NFC while the Packers are the 3rd seed. Both teams are coming off wins, the Packers defeating the Raiders in the Bay while the Cards defeated the Eagles in Philly, but lost the Honey Badger for the rest of the yr when he tore his ACL. This could be the conference title game if somehow the Panthers don’t make it that far. I know both teams have offensive explosions w/ their abs (Rodgers & Palmer), but it may come down to the running game & defense. The Cards are 4.5 home faves. I like the Cards to win this game.

Noez:

Randy:

St Louis vs Seatte- The Seahawks clinched a playoff spot w/ their win last week vs my Browns. Russell Wilson’s stats this month is off the chart: 17 td passes & no ints. Doug Baldwin is playing like he’s Jerry Rice & the defense has picked it up. For the Rams, they won their in their so called final game in St. Louis & Stedman Bailey got released from the hospital, a month after getting shot in the head. Positive story here. It’s a divisional game here. The Rams won the 1st match-up in week 1 in St. Louis, so they’re looking for a sweep. The Seahawks are 13 pt home faves. I like the Seahawks to win, but take the under.

Noez:

Randy:

NY Giants vs Minnesota- The Giants won’t have Beckham for this game. That’s the major storyline here. Despite the fact that he & Josh Norman made their match-up look like something from the WWE, the game came down to the last drive. He did score, but Norman was in his head for 3 qtrs. Despite being 6-8, they’re still alive in the NFC Least. For the Vikings, coming off a win over the Bears & they pretty much control their own destiny for that final wild card spot. Bridgewater was the star last game because the Bears didn’t want Peterson to beat them. It’s a big game for both teams & the final Sunday night game of the season. The Vikes are 5.5 home faves. I like the Vikings in this contest

Noez:

Randy:

Monday

Cincinnati vs Denver- The season finale of MNF this yr & boy oh boy it’s a good one. Both of these teams are fighting for that no.2 spot in the AFC east. The Bengals got the AJ McCarron era started right w/ a road win in San Francisco while the Broncos dropped their 2nd straight game, this time on the road in Pittsburgh. If they lose out, they could lose the division to Kansas City & probably miss out on the postseason. Osweiler is getting the start again this week as Peyton Manning is still recovering from the plantar facisa injury. I don’t know why Kubiak is treating this qb situation like a game of Russian roulette. These last 2 weeks are big for this franchise. The Broncos are 3.5 home faves. I like the Bengals’ chance to win this one on the road.

Noez:

Randy:

Last week, yours truly & Randy were the top dawgs of the pickems w/ a 13-3 showing while Noez rounded out at 10-4. In the overall showing, randy upped his lead by 8 games w/ a 139-84 showing while yours truly has a 131-92 spot & noes rounds out at 118-93. Happy belated b-day shootouts to Sandra Soto, Diana Campos, Greg Torres, & Kristin Gonzalez. Happy b-day shoutouts this week to Michelle Phan, Inez Garcia, Valery Martinez, Veronica Rodriguez, Kristina Antuna Gomez, Jennifer Fernandez, John Moreno. Karen La Mere, Xochtil Huerta, Michelle Amy Carlos, my cousin Veronica Oseguera & Megan MacDougall. I have my fantasy league title game this week so wish me luck. I hope everyone have a safe x-mas (Go Cavs) & a happy New Yr!! Catch ya’ll on the next blog when it’s 2016!! Peace!!!

Love it or hate it, the only way you can stop the Dab: Keep him out the end zone. Cam & the Panthers have a good reason to dab

How’s it going out there my football fans!! We have 3 more weeks left in the season & we’re already separating the contenders & pretenders. We’re already seen some teams getting eliminated from playoff competition. Last week, we saw the Panthers continue their mark to run the table, the Jags putting boots to asses on the Colts , the Bengals losing to the Steelers & Andy Dalton for the rest of the regular season, the Raiders going into Denver & getting an upset win , & the NFC East & AFC South having teams w/ under .500 records tied for 1st place. It’s going be a dog fight for those divisions as well as both wild card spots in the NFC & AFC. Let’s break down these week games.

Thursday

Tampa Bay vs St Louis- The Bucs are looking to get back to .500 w/ a win after the home loss vs New Orleans. They have surpassed me so far this yr with their record & like i said last week, Jameis Winston has made this organization proud of his performance & not regretting drafting him number 1 overall. For the Rams, they just snapped a 5 game losing streak with a home win vs the Lions thanks to a big game by Todd Gurley. The Rams are eliminated from postseason contention, but they have a goal to finish at .500 w/ 3 straight wins & end their tenure in St. Louis w/ a positive bang. The Bucs are 2.5 road faves. I like the Bucs in a close contest.

Noez:

Randy: St. Louis

Saturday

NY Jets vs Dallas- The Jets are in the race for the wild card in the AFC & clicked on all cylinders last week w/ their win one the Titans at home. The return of Revis was nice & Ryan Fitzpatrick feels like a pro bowl qb when he has weapons like Brandon Marshall & Eric Decker. For the Cowboys, they got smacked around in Gteen Bay. The defense played tough, but the offense couldn’t get things moving, except for Darren McFadden. I think the Cowboys can kiss the postseason goodbye, but then again they play in the NFC East. The Jets are fighting off the Steelers for that last wild card spot. The Jets better not have a meltdown thus week. The y are a fg road fave. I like the Jets to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy: NYJ

Sunday

Carolina vs NY Giants- Both teams are coming off wins. The Panthers just shut out the Falcons & Cam Newton’s still making his case for the league MVP. He’s deserving it in my opinion. For the Giants, they are keeping their hopes alive for the NFC East title w/ the win in South Beach over the Dolphins. Pretty much, Eli Manning & Odell Beckham was pointing on a show. Speaking of Beckham, he will have his hands full w/ Josh Norman on him. The Panthers pretty much have home field advantage clinched, but they can play for history as they try to run the table. The Giants always plays teams who are undefeated tough. Just ask the Pats earlier this season. It’s gonna be a good game in my opinion. The Panthers are 5.5 road faves. I like the Panthers to win, but take the under.

Noez:;

Randy: Carolina

Chicago vs Minnesota- Round 2 of this divisional match-up this yr w/ the Vikings winning the 1st match-up this yr in Chi-town. The Vikings are coming off a tough loss in Arizona & Adrian Peterson still didn’t over 100 yards rushing game, yet he scored a td. They are still in the hunt for the wild card as they can kiss the division goodbye since they are 2 back of the Packers. For the Bears, another tough home loss, this time to the Redskins & all of a sudden, Robie Gould has lost his clutch touch to make big kicks. It’s been a rough yr for the Bears & they want to finish strong. The Vikings are 5.5 home faves. Peterson always plays his best games vs the Bears. I like the Vikings to win this match-up

Noez:

Randy: Minn

Atlanta vs Jacksonville- What the hell has happened to the Falcons? After starting the season 5-0, there world has collapsed going 1-6 down the stretch. Last week, they were shutout in Carolina & I bet Julio Jones is getting frustrated at each & every minute of this season. It’s also bad that they have the same record as Tampa Bay, but the Bucs own the tiebreaker because they swept the head to head match-ups. For the Jags, they smacked the hell out of Indy at home & believe it or not, they are a game back of both Houston & Indianapolis in the AFC South. Who wants that division as well? Jacksonville’s a fg home have. I like the Falons to win to end their funk.

Noez;

Randy: Jacksonville

Houston vs Indianapolis – Big game for the AFC South as both teams are tied for 1st, but the Colts won the 1st match-up in Houston. Both teams are coming off losses, the Colts was smacked by the Jags while the Texans were smacked by the Pats. Both teams will have back-up abs under center this week as T.J. Yates will fill in for Brian Hoyer while the Colts will have Hasselback under center. They thought Andrew Luck, who’s back on the practice field would be ready for this match-up, but he hasn’t been cleared for 11 on 11 drills yet. Funny part is Hasselback is struggling & has bruised ribs. Tough game to choose. It’s an even pick. I like the Texans to get the win on the road.

Noez:

Randy: Houston

Tennessee vs New England- The Pats are happy they got Gronk back last week & he was a key contributer in their win in Houston. However, they lost more bodies  w/ the injury of Legarrette Blount, who’s season is done. They decided to work out Steven Jackson, who last played in Atlanta last yr since they are thin at the running back position. That’ll probably will hurt them down the stretch. For the Titans, they were smacked around by the Jets & if the season ended today, they would have the 1st pick in the draft. The Pats are playing for that no.1 spot in the AFC while the Titans are playing for pride. The Pats are 14 pt home faves. I like the Pats to win & take the over.

Noez;

Randy: New England

Kansas City vs Baltimore- Other than the Panthers, the Chiefs have been the hottest team in the AFC, winning 7 straight games. Last week, they had to struggle in the rain to defeat the Chargers in a defensive battle at home. For the Ravens, they ran into a hot buzz saw in the Seattle Seahawks & was smacked around at home. It was bad enough that Jimmy Clausen got hurt & they had to sign Ryan Mallet to finish out the season. It’s been a tough yr for the Ravens w/ injuries and all. The Chiefs are 7.5 road faves. I like the Chiefs to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy: KC

Buffalo vs Washington- The Bills get to face another NFC East team this week. They lost to the Eagles in Shady’s return to Philly last week. It was a close battle, but Tyron Taylor made a costly error when he threw an int, his 1st in 222 pass attempts, in a crucial situation. For the Redskins, they had to survive a late Bears drive to win a close game in Chicago, thus keeping their division titles hopes alive. Kurt Cousins is balling out of control & has been a spark for them. It’s funny that it’s also his contract yr. This game may come down to quarterback play & who makes the less mistakes. The Bills are a pt road fave. I like the Redskins to win this match-up.

Noez;

Randy: Washington

Clevelanad vs Seattle- Don’t look now, but the Seahawks have gotten their swagger back. Last week, Russell Wilson & Doug Baldwin made themselves look like Joe Montana & Jerry Rice as they smacked around the Ravens in Baltimore. However, their win (their 6th in their last 7th games) came at a cost when they lost Thomas Rawls, who was filling in nicely for Marshawn Lynch, for the yr when he suffered a broken ankle. They hope Lynch can return in the final week before the postseason. For my Browns, they are coming a win vs the 49ers, their 1st win since week 5. Of all the 3 wins they have, Johnny Manziel is responsible for 2 of them. The defense, which is ranked 30th, played their best game last week, recording 9 sacks as a team. Once again, my team is playing for pride down the stretch & Petitine gave the Seahawks bulletin board material when he said Wilson’s not a top tier qb. Prepare to eat those words. The Seahawks are 14.5 home faves. I always pick my Browns, but even I know they won’t win this game & especially in Seattle. I like the Seahawks to win & take the over.

Noez:

Randy: Seattle

Green Bay vs Oakland- The Raiders are hoping that they can carry that momentum from that win in Denver to this game. Even though they struggled in the 1st half, they never gave up & Khalil Mack kept them in the game w/ his 5 sacks (all of them in the 1st half). For the Packers, they grounded & pounded their way to a home win over the Cowboys. The best thing about their win was that they got their running game together w/ Eddie Lacy finding his mojo & James Starks playing his back-up. If the running game can hold their own, it’ll make Aaron Rodgers life much better. Emotional ties for this game as Charles Woodson gets to face his former teammates as vice versa for James Jones. Must win for both teams. The Raiders are still in the playoff hunt while the Packers are looking to lock down the NFC North. The Packers are a fg road fave. I like the Packers to win this contest

Noez:

Randy: Oakland

Denver vs Pittsburgh- The Broncos are coming off their 1st loss w/ Ostweiler under center last week. It was rumors that Petyon Manning would made his return this week, He practiced today, but Kubiak & the staff felt they didn’t want to rush him back. For the Steelers, not only they did defeated the Bengals in their house, but they knocked out Dalton as well. They are in a dog fight w/ the Chiefs & Jets for one of the wild card spots. They are an offensive juggernaut & one team that nobody wants to see in the postseason.. Can that Broncos defense slow down that offense? We’ll have to see & find out. The Steelers are 6.5 home faves. I like the Steelers to win at home.

Noez:

Randy: Pitts

Miami vs San Diego- It’s going be an emotional affair in the 619 this week. It may be the final game for the Chargers in Qualcolm. They are coming off a tough loss in Kansas City & this has been a tough yr for them. The lease is up & their impending move has been the only thing we can talk about whenever we mention them. For the Dolphins, a tough home loss to the Giants despite a balls out performance from Jarvis Landry. They’re still in the playoff hunt, but will need a miracle to get there. The Chargers are 2 pt home faves. I like the Dolphins to spoil the farewell party for the Chargers in San Diego.

Noez:

Randy: San Diego

Cincinnati vs San Francisco- The AJ McCarron era starts this week as he fills in for an injured Andy Dalton. He feels the confidence that he could lead the Bengals down the stretch & even compared his situation to Tom Brady when he took over for Drew Bledsoe when he got hurt. Good news for Bengals fans as they said Dalton won’t need surgery for his broken thumb & they say he’s week to week, but I doubt it. For the 49ers, they are coming off a road loss in Cleveland, thus eliminating themselves from postseason contention. Right now they are playing for pride while the Bengals are hoping that they can ride the ship til the postseaon & they hope Dalton will be back then. The Bengals are 4.5 road faves. I like the Bengals to win this one as McCarron has confidence in himself

Noez:

Randy: Cincy

Arizona vs Philadelphia- Both teams are coming off wins. The Eagles spoiled Shady’s return to Philly w/ a win & they also keep their division title hopes alive since they play in the NFC East. Funny part about the Eagles on this 2 game winning streak is that DeMarco Murrary hasn’t been a major factor in their wins. Rumors of him wanting to go back to Dallas are popping up. For the Cards, they had to hold off a last minute Vikings drive to defeat them at home. It looks like they have the no. 2 spot locked up in the NFC while the Eagles are just trying to win the division. The Cards are 3.5 road faves. The Cards are too much for them. I like the Cards to win & take the over.

Noez:

Randy: Arizona

Monday

Detroit vd New Orleans- What a dismal way to end the week. I wish this game was flexed. The Lions are coming off a road loss in St Louis while the Saints are coming off a road win in Tampa. This game has no playoff implications, so it’s not that much to talk about. The Saints are fg home faves. I like the Saints to win this contest.

Noez:

Randy: New Orleans

Last week, Noez was the man w/ the master plan as he finished w/ a 12-4 showing while I had a 11-4 record to finsih in 2nd while Randy closed out at 9-7. In the overall standings, randy is still that guy with the big lead at 126-81 while I’m way behind at 118-89 & Noez rounds out at 108-89. Happy birthday shootout to one of the coolest women in the SCDCfC Barbs Martinez. Happy b-day shoutouts for the rest of the week to my girl Yolanda Hermosillo, Elidio Avila, Lydia Avila, Amanda Ramirez, Jeff Dowell, Nitanna Villasenor, Robbie Uyeno, Stacey Ciesa, Jade Monge, Monica Cruz,, Jen Denise, my dawn Shane Mooney, Johnny Eggen, Rosemary Prieto, Vanessa Alva, Moises Hurtado, & last but not least, my girl Tina Juarez. I’ll catch everyone on the next blog. Peace!!
