How’s my NFL heads doing this week. We learned a lot of things last week in this long season. We saw the Cowboys not laying down to the champs on opening night, the Jets offense finally waking after a dismal preseason that saw them struggle to score a touchdown, the RG III is so real that “Griffining” is the new thing, my Browns have a great defense, but the offense is suspect, the 49ers aren’t no one hit wonders as they went into Lambeau & popped the Packers in the mouth, & Peyton Manning’s back as well as Adrian Peterson. I wonder what storylines we have for after week 2? Let’s break down the games, shall we.
Thursday
Chicago vs Green Bay- The oldest rivalry in the history renews on a Thursday night. The Packers are coming off a beatdown from the 49ers in Lambeau while the Bears welcome Andrew Luck in the NFL w/ 3 ints off him. Bears offense also came in handy as both Cutler & Brandon Marshall feat like they were back in Denver & clicking on all cylinders. Now I know some people think it’s not a must win game for the Pack since it’s a ;long season, but to me it is. The reason I said that because if you start off o-2, the local media will be panicking or be on your ass. The Packers are 4 pt faves at home. I say it’s coming down to a fg. I’ll take the Pack & the under.

Sunday
Kansas City vs Buffalo- Both teams are coming off double digit losses. The Bills made Mark Sanchez look like a pro bowler & their rejunivated defense, led by Mario Williams gave up 48 pts to a Jets team who couldn’t score all preseason. The Chiefs were just popped in the mouth by Matty Ice & the Falcons. Both are looking to turn things this week. It’s gonna be hard for the Bills since they won’t have Fred Jackson on the field for 3 weeks because of his knee. That means Stevie Johnson’s gonna see a lot of double teams. The Bills are 9 pt home faves. I like the Chiefs to steal this game & take the under.

New Orleans vs Carolina- Both teams are coming off losses, however the Saints got a moral victory as Vilma & Smith won their appeals, reinstating them. However, Vilma will miss at least 6 more games because he was put on the P.U.P. list. The Panthers were just manhandled defensively by the Bucs. Cam Newton & the guys couldn’t run the ball, pretty much relying on his arm. We know he passed for 3,000 yds last yr, but it would been nice if Jonathan Stewart & DeAngelo Williams carried their load as well. The Saints were the special guests of the RG III rookie party & he made them his personal bitches. If Griffin had a ball on them, I wonder what would Cam do to them. The Saints are 6.5 road faves. I like the Saints to at least redeem themselves this week. Take the Saints & the points

Cleveland vs Cincinnati – The battle of Ohio kicks off week 2 for these teams. Both teams are coming off losses. The Browns had a heartbreaking loss at home vs the Eagles. The defense was the heart of the game, however the offense, especially Joe Weeden stunk up the joint. I would rip Trent Richardson, but I ‘ll give him a pass because he missed all preseason & they were taking their chances starting him. The Bengals were exposed to the new Ravens no huddle offense on Monday night. It was close for a half til the 3rd qtr hit & the Ravens defense were driving Dalton crazy. We always play the Bengals close & since it’s not only a state battle, but a divisional rivalry, expect a lot of hard hitting. The Bengals are a td home faves. I like my Browns to regroup & win this game by a field goal. Find some holes for Richardson & make Weeden a game manager. Word of advice to Shumur: if Weeden struggles again, pull him & put in McCoy.

Minnesota vs Indianapolis- Andrew Luck has his home opener this week. He hopes it’s better than last week’s debut in which he threw 3 ints in their loss to the Bears. The Vikings welcomed Adrian Peterson & he showed the league he was back w/ 84 yds, plus scoring 2 tds. They also won in ot vs the Jags. It may come down to 2 young quarterbacks w/ Luck & Christian Ponder. This is the 2nd yr for Ponder & he hopes he doesn’t get the sophomore jinx this yr. Whoever doesn’t make that many mistakes will determine who wins & loses this game. The Vikings are 5 pt faves. I like the Vikes & the pts

Houston vs Jacksonville- It’s an AFC South in Jacksonville as the Texans are looking to go 2-0 w/ a win this week. The Texans started off great last week beating them Dolphins while the Jags had an overtime loss in Minnesota. MJD looked like he never lost a step as he tried his best to help them win. Also, it looked like Blaine Gabbert looked like he matured for this season. Another divisional battle, so expect a lot of hard hitting. Nothing much to talk bout this game. The Texans are a touchdown faves on the road. I’ll take the Texans and the over

Randy: Houston
Oakland vs Miami- The Raiders sorta will take their talents to South Beach this week & will hope to come back w/ a win. They, pretty much the Special teams did them in on Monday night vs those Chargers while the Dolphins don’t know what hit them vs Houston last week. When I say special teams hurt the Raiders, I really mean special teams hurt them. Their long snapper had trouble hiking the ball to Lechler (hurting your chances for the Pro Bowl) & it also hurts that the Raiders didn’t have 2 of their best receivers, pretty much relying on Heyward-Bey and an undrafted rookie who had trouble protecting the ball. Both teams need to make adjustments this week. The Raiders are a Sea Bass fave in Miami. I take the Raiders and the pts
Noez; Oakland
Randy: Oakland
Arizona vs New England- The Pats started off this season w/ an impressive win over the Titans last week. We all know Brady, Gronk, & Hernandez did their dizzle, however their defense, which was their weakness last season, made an impact, especially their rookies Jones & Hightower. They held Chris Johnson to 4 yds rushing & gave Locklear fits. For the Cards, they survived a referee’s blunder & Skelton getting injured to defeat the Seahawks last week. The Pats still wants what was taking from them last season while the Seashawks are still crawling in baby steps w/ Wilson & Marshawn Lynch. The Pats are almost 2 touchdown home faves. Take the Pats and the over.

Randy: New England
Tampa Bay vs NY Giants- The Giants are looking to responding from that letdown on opening night vs the Cowboys while the Bucs had a defensive effort to defeat the Panthers. For the Giants, the cause for their loss was an championship hangover as well as the secondary was thin w/ injuries & Romo was exposing that. The Bucs defense played a key role for them last week & Josh Freeman looked like the Freeman we saw two yrs ago. The Giants are 9 pt home faves. The champs will find a way to respond & win this game. Take the G-man & the under (got you Screws)

Randy: NYG
Baltimore vs Philadelphia- The Eagles escaped Cleveland w/ a come from behind win in week 1 while the Ravens & Joe Flacco debuted their no- huddle offense & exploded on the Bengals on Monday night. We think this game would be a defensive battle, but you may never know w/ these offenses. 1 minute Vick can throw 4 ints, the next he can throw for 300+ yds , multi touchdowns & steal the show. It’s the home opener for the Eagles, so they better impress their home folks, or else those fans would turn on them. The Eagles are 1 pt faves at the Linc. Take the Eagles straight up

Randy: Baltimore
Dallas vs Seattle- The Cowboys shocked the world by defeating the champs in their house on their banner night. Tony Romo was actually clutch in the 4th qtr in this game & he exposed that Giants secondary. The Seahawks had fought back to try to win their game in Arizona, even having a ref blunder a timeout call, but lost it when Braylon Edwards couldn’t handle a 4th & goal pass. Will the Cowboys have a letdown after a major win or will they carry the momentum? They are 5 pt road faves. I like them to win & take the over (happy now Letty Bear)

Randy: Dallas
Washington vs St Louis- RG III had his coming out party in New Orleans last week & boy, he never let the national tv nor the fans attendance down. He was the 1st rookie qb ever to pass for 300+ yds, threw 2 tds & no ints in a win, His phenomenal is so crazy that he has everyone “Griffining”, the newest thing in America. For the Rams, they had victory snatched from them in the final seconds. For 3 qtrs, they made Matthew Strafford’s life miserable & Calvin Johnson was a non factor til their final drive. It looks like Jeff Fisher’s turning that team around. I also will like the quarterback match-up between Griffin & Sam Bradford. It may be high scoring or may defensive, but make no mistakes, they will do all it takes to win. The Skins are a fg road fave. I like the Skins & take the points

Randy: St Louis
NY Jets vs Pittsburgh- What a way for the Jets offense to explode! Having trouble all preseason just to score a touchdown, they scored 48 pts, Sanchez played like Joe Namath & the funny part was that the fans booed Tebow. As for the Steelers, Peyton Manning made his comeback party on them & it took a Tracy Porter pick six to seal their fate. Ben Roethesberger played a hell of a game, especially on 3rd down & even Mike Wallace contributed after holding out all preseason. We don’t know is Harrison or Mendehall’s gonna play, but expect a hard hitting game. The Steelers are 6.5 home faves. You already know my hatred for the wack & yellow, so you know who I’m rolling w. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS (hope you loving the gift Havana gf)

Tennessee vs San Diego- The Chargers defense came out to play vs the Raiders on Monday night & Phillp Rivers was just Phillp Rivers. It would had been nice if Ryan Matthews was available for that game. For the Titans, it was an ugly loss for them. Chris Johnson only had 4 yds rushing & Jake Locklear separated his shoulder on a dead ball play. However, he’ll be ready for this game or it’s gonna be Matt Hasselback leading the charge. It’s gonna be an emotional game for the Chargers as they will retire the late Junior Seau’s number at their home opener. The Bolts are a td fave at home. I say take the chargers and the over

Detroit vs San Francisco- A rematch of last yr’s game which resulted in handshake gate concludes the Sunday night schedule. Both teams are coming off wins, but the 49ers made a statement in their win in Lambeau over the Packers. The defense was confusing Rodgers & Alex Smith outplayed him. Gore was Gore & his new weapon in Moss & Manningham made impacts in the game. The Lion had to overcome Strafford throwing 3 ints & he had to dig it deep to lead that game winning game. By the way, nice to use Megatron as a decoy when the whole Rams defense focused their whole attention on him and no one notice Kevin Smith out the flats. I can’t wait for this game. The 49ers are a td home faves. Take the Niners & the points

Monday
Denver vs Atlanta- Peyton Manning’s back & it look like he didn’t lose a step in his Broncos’ debut on Sunday night. It looked like he was back in Indy, but he had new toys in Decker, Tanie, & Stokely. Tracey Porter sealed the win w/ a pick 6. For the Falcons, Matty Ice looked nice & Julio Jones had a breakout game. Even Tony Gonzalez scored a td in the game. It’s gonna be a quarterback battle, but what defense is gonna show up. The game’s in the Georgia Dome & Matty Ice hardly ever loses at home, but this is Peyton Manning who he is facing. The Falcons are a fg home fave. I like the Falcons by a field goal too
