Does Cam have what it takes to get to the Brady level (MVP & Super Bowl) #psychotom #dabonem

How it’s going my NFL fans out there! We’re almost at the finish line for the regular season to end & the real party begins. 4 more weeks & the hot topic for the moment is can the Panthers run the table.  How are they doing it w/ Cam Newton, Jonathan Stewart, the defense & a bunch of no name receivers? Last week, they had to fight the Saints to keep the dream alive. Also last week, we saw the NFC East become a division nobody wants after the Giants & Redskins lose while the Cowboys & Eagles win, the Lions getting cheated out by the officials on thursday, & a bunch of your favorite kickers missing potential game winning fgs. What do we have in store this week? We don’t know, but we’ll find out starting on Thursday night.

Minnesota vs Arizona- Both teams are in the thick of things in the postseason. The Cards are coming off a devasting win over the Rams in St Louis while the Vikings didn’t know what hit them at home as the Seahawks came into their house & dominated them. This was the 2nd time the Vikings had a big game at home & they failed. The 1st time was versus the Packes. They are tied once again w/ the same Packers for the lead in the NFC North. The Cards are just playing for that 1st round bye in the NFC. Can the Vikings’ defense slow down that Cardinals’ high powered offense? Will Adrian Peterson rebound from his performance? The Cards are 7.5 home faves. I like the Cards to win & cover the spread.

Randy: Arizona

Buffalo vs Philadelphia- I know the person who had this game circled on their calendar & his name is LeSean McCoy. It’ll be the 1st time he’ll face his former team since they traded him for Kiki Alonso. The Bills are coming off a home win over the Texans & are still in the race for the wild card in the AFC while the Eagles are coming off an upset win over New England in Foxborro, thus making the NFC East ugly w/ them tied w/ the Giants & Redskins in the division. Like I said earlier, who wants that division. I wonder if Shady could take the boos in the Linc. Must win for both teams. Buffalo’s a 1.5 road fave. I like the Eagles to win a close one at home.

Randy: Philly

Tennessee vs NY Jets- The Jets ae coming off the win of the Giants in the battle of New York & are still in the hunt for the wild card as well in the AFC. For the Titans, coming off a home win vs Jacksonville in which Mariotta had a field day for the ages. They are 4-8, but the only way they’ll make the playoffs is they win the AFC South & that’ll take a miracle.. Let’s hope the Jets don’t have a letdown after a big win. Jets are touchdown home faves. I like the Jets to win & take the over.

Randy: NYJ

Pittsburgh vs Cincinnati- AFC North battle & the 2nd match-up between these 2 teams. The Bengals won the 1st match-up in Pittsburgh. The Bengals are coming off a beatdown of my Browns in the battle of Ohio & w/ the Pats losing to Philly, they have took the no.1 spot in the AFC. For the Steelers, they put on a clinic vs the Steelers & if they can make the postseason, that’s one team you don’t want to see. Big Ben has weapons & if the defense could make stops, look out. Expect a lot of rough play this game. The Bengals are a fg home fave. I like the Bengals to win & cover the spread.

Randy: Cincy

Indianapolis vs Jacksonville- AFC South match-up & the  2nd match-up between these 2 teams. The Colts won the 1st matchup. The Colts lost their 1st game w/ Hasselback behind center last week & they probably counting the days for the return of Andrew Luck. He’s suppose to be back in 2 weeks. For the Jags, they had a shootout loss in Tennessee. They’re still young, so they’re playing for the future again. It’s an even pick ’em for this game. I like the Colts in a close game.

Randy: Jacksonville

San Diego vs Kansas City-  AFC West battle & the Chiefs are starting to get swagger on as late, winning 6 straight games, including last week vs the Raiders. The defense made Derek Carr’s life a living hell & they could be hot when playoffs come around. For the Chargers, home loss vs the Chargers. They’re just counting the days when the season’s over, the lease will be up at Qualcomn Stadium, & they could move to L.A. Arrowhead’s gonna be rocking this Sunday. The Chiefs are 10 its home faves. I like the Chiefs to win & take the over.

Randy: Kansas City

Washington vs Chicago- Both teams are coming off major losses. The Bears could had gained some ground in the wild card hunt vs the 49ers last week, but Robbie Gould, who’s usually reliable with the foot, missed some crucial kicks down the stretch & they made Blaine Gabbert look like Steve Young. For the Redskins, you could almost blame Desean Jackson for this lost. His mental mistake on special teams resulted in a turnover which the Cowboys capitalize on. He redeemed himself w/ the tying touchdown, but special teams screwed up again by giving up a big return. With the loss, they are in a 3 way tie for 1st int he NFC East & it looks like someone could finish under .500 & still will the division. Must win for both teams as the Bears are still in the wild card hunt, but need help. Chi-town’s a fg home fave. I like the Redskins to still this one on the road because I trust Kurt Cousins before I trust Jay Cutler.

Randy: Chicago

Atlanta vs Carolina- The Panthers are still working to run the table & should it happen, Cam Newton should be the MVP. How’s he doing it w/ Greg Olson & a bunch of scrubs who have a hard time catching the ball (I love you Ted Ginn Jr., but hold on the ball)? They defeated the Saints last week, but there were 2 potential td passes he dropped. The defense is spectacular & Josh Norman is the best cornerback south of Richard Sherman. For the Falcons, wow how have they fallen? After starting 5-0, they’re in a funk, going 1-6 down the stretch & Julio Jones is upset about the play calling again. That’s what losing does for you. The Panther are td home faves. I like the Pantehrs to win & cover the spread.

Randy: Carolina

New Orleans vs Tampa Bay- NFC South battle & the Bucs are still in the hunt for the wild card spot in the NFC, which has surprised me. Jameis Winston is proving why the Bucs made the right choice to draft him no.1 overall. For the Saints, they are coming off a shootout loss to the Panthers & now looking up to 3 teams in their division. This is the 2nd match-up between these 2 teams, the Bucs won the 1st match-up. It’s a divisional match-up, so expect a lot of hard hitting. It’s a must win game for the Bucs if they want to make a playoff push. Tampa’s a 3.5 home fave. I like the Bucs because you can’t trust the Saints either at home or the road.

Randy; Tampa Bay

Detroit vs St. Louis- The Lions probably wished they didn’t lose like they did on thursday night & to their divisional rivals Breen Bay. They got hosed in my opinion. There was no face mask grabbed on Rodgers.. They were leading by 17 in the 1st qtr, but the Packers fought back to get that hail mary to end the game. For the Rams, they got smacked at home by the Cards & Nick Foles is looking bad as ever. None of these teams have postseason aspirations at this point. The Rams are a pt home fave. I like the Lions to take this game.

Randy: Detroit

San Francisco vs Cleveland- The 49ers have sorta found their offense w/ Blaine Gabbert at quarterback & Shane Draughn getting the carries! Thanks to Robbie Gould missing some crucial kicks & the Bears defense making Gabbert the 2nd coming of Steve Young, the 49ers came out of Chi-town w/ an overtime win. They are 4-8 & 4 more wins can have them finishing 8-8 & .500 record.  So much than what can I say about my Browns. They got spanked by their in state rivals Cincy 37-3 & now Johnny Manziel gets to start the final 4 games. In my opinion, the front office & coaching staff has done him dirty & I think it’s time for a divorce. It hurts to be a Browns fan, but thank god for the Cavs. Browns are 1.5 home faves. I like my Browns to least get one more win this yr.

Randy: San Francisco

Seattle vs Baltimore- Don’t look now, but the Seahawks are starting to find their groove. Everyone was leaving them for dead after Jimmy Graham’s injury & no Marshawn Lynch, but Russell Wilson, Rawls, & the defense has put the team on their back to make that postseason rush. Last week, they slowed down the league’s leading rusher in Adrian Peterson & the Vikings didn’t know what hit them in their own house. For the Ravens, a road loss to the Dolphins & they’re just playing for pride now. The Seahawks are 6 pt road faves. I like the Seahawks in this contest.

Randy: Seattle

Oakland vs Denver- AFC West showdown & the Broncos are looking to go 4-0 w/ Ostweiler as their qb. He’s filling in nicely for Peyton Manning & the running game has picked up with the committee of Hillman & Anderson. Some people are wondering if they are better w/o Manning. For the Raiders, they are still in the playoff hunt, but can’t be losing at a time like this. Last week was probably Carr’s worst game of the yr as he threw 3 ints & the team had 5 turnovers along / Sebastian Janikowski missing field goals in their loss. Expect a low scoring affair. The Broncos are 7.5 home faves. I like the Broncso to win & cover the spread

Randy: Denver

Dallas vs Green Bay- A rematch of last yr.’s divisional playoff game where the famous Dez Bryant screw job happened. Like I said last yr, they didn’t lose that game because the refs screwed Dez, it was their defense that couldn’t stop a hobbling Aaron Rodgers on their biggest drive of the season. Both teams are coming off wins & are sitll especially in the hunt for their division titles. I can’t believe the Cowboys are a game back of Philly, NYG, & the Redskins in the NFC East, but I call it the NFC Least because somebody might finish under .500 & win the division. The Packers needed help from the officials to defeat the Packers & they are in a battle w/ the Vikings for the NFC North. It’s a must win for both teams & FOX’s game of the week. The Packers are 7.5 home faves. I like the Packers to take this game (sorry SCDCFC & Letty)

Randy: Green Bay

New England vs Houston- The Pats are in a lil slump, losing their last two games, including last week at home vs Philly & they had no Gronk & the no name receivers were dropping a lot of passes from Brady. It was ugly that they gave up 21 its on non offensive plays (pick 6, punt return , & a blocked punt). They hope that Gronk will be available for this game & it’ll open the offense up. For the Texans, tough road loss to Buffalo, but since the Colts lost as well, both teams are still tied for 1st in the AFC South.  The Pats are now trying to get their top spot back in the AFC as they dropped to 3rd & if the season ended today, they’ll play in a wild card game. It’s also teacher vs pupil as Brady faces Brian Hoyer, who spent some time as his back-up. The Pats are 3.5 road faves. I like the Pats to steal this one in H-Town.

Randy: New England

NY Giants vs Miami- What a way to end the week with another NFC East team playing for hope to take the lead in the division. The Giants should had took over the NFC East, but no. They had to lose their last 3 games, including last week to the lil brother the Jets. They have a 2x super bowl winning qb in Eli Manning, one of the best wry in Odell Beckham & J.P.P. showed some glimpse of his old self, but you don’t know what Giants would show up. For the Dolphins, home win over the Ravens & are still alive in the wild card hunt. Everything has changed for them since they fired coaches & coordinators. They’ll need a lil help to make that postseason push. Primetime in South Beach,, who’ll show up? The Giants are 1.5 road faves. I like the Giants to get this one on the road.

Randy: Miami

Last week, Randy had increased his role as top dawn for the picks w/ a 10-6 while yours truly came in 2nd w/ an 8-8 record while Noez rounded it out with a 7-9 finish. In the overall standings, randy increased his overall lead by 10 games w/a 117-74 record while I’m chasing him at 107-84 & noes rounds out at 96-85. Happy belated b-day shootouts to Lisa marie cox, Arthur Mendoza, Jonathan Holguin, & Rosie Godinez. Happy b-day shootouts to Eloisa Magdaleno, Jennifer Herman, Veronica Hernandez, Louie Vasich, Marissa Avendano, Catherine Maya, Esmeralda Rodriguez, Amber Perkowski- Garcia, Kassie Eileen, Omni Chang, Edwin Cano, Christina Henshall & the president of the SCDCFC, Luis Garcia. I would like to end w/ saying One Love to my sis Carole Brewster as it has hit 16 yrs since she was tragically taking from us. Big brother loves you & I’ll catch ya’ll next blog. Peace!!
