Big weekend for the Packers’ faithful as Fave gets his number retired on thanksgiving night

What’s going down people! It’s 5 more weeks til the regular season ends & the real party starts. We still have 2 undefeated teams remaining, 2 crappy divisions that are wide open & some teams that are surprising me as well as my hometown team’s starting qb making some news off the field during the bye week for all the wrong reasons. I’m just anxious to see what the season holds for us & how this week will play out starting w/ the 3 to start off thanksgiving weekend.
Thursday
Philadelphia vs Detroit- The 1st game to start off the thanksgiving festivities. The Eagles are coming off a devasting home loss to Tampa & it looks like the writing’s on the wall for Chip Kelly as the countdown of his tenure as Eagles’ coach has started. For the Lions, they had an ugly win at home vs the Raiders, but their hopes for the postseason died long time ago. It’s pretty much a must win game for the Eagles if they want to keep their postseason hopes alive since they are in the NFC East. It’s an even pick ’em for this game. I like the Eagles to win this one because the Lions hardly ever win on thanksgiving.

Noez:

Randy: Detroit
Carolina vs Dallas- Both teams are coming off wins. The Cowboys were happy to have Romo back under center. He was rusty for a little, but regained his focus & led them to the win over the Dolphins in South Beach. For the Panthers, they just popped the Redskins in the mouth as Cam Newton threw for 5 tds & he’s still in the convo for MVP along w/ Tom Brady. Can the Panthers continue this magic or will the Cowboys bust their bubble. The Cowbpys are a pt home fave. I’m riding w/ Cam & the Panthers (sorry Letty, however enjoy your thanksgiving) #dabonem

Randy: Carolina
Chicago vs Green Bay- The nightcap for thanksgiving night & it’s gonna a special night at Lambeau Field as they retire Brett Favre’s number. The Packers hope that win ove the Vikings will turned their winning ways around after the 3 game losing streak. It was nice to see Eddie Lacy have a great game. For the Bears, tough home loss to a Peyton Manning-less Broncos squad. The offense hopes that Forte & Jeffery will be available this game. It’s a rivalry game, so expect a hard nose affair. The Packers are 9 pt home faves. I like the Packer to win & take the over.

Noez:

Randy: Green Bay
Sunday
NY Giants vs Washington- A NFC East rivalry game here & this division is wide open. The G-Men are coming off their bye week while the Redskins probably just want to forget about what happened to them in Carolina. The Redskins & Eagles are a half game behind the Giants in the division, so it’s a big game for both teams. The Giants already won the 1st game in East Rutherford, now they need to win this one to own the tiebreaker. It’s gonna be a tough game for both teams. The G-Man are 2.5 road faves. I like the Giants by a fg.

Noez:

Randy: NYG
Minnesota vs Atlanta- Both teams are still in the postseason hunt, but are coming off losses. The Vikings couldn’t increase their lead over the Packers in the division as they lost a big one vs them at home while the Falcons couldn’t hold a 2 touchdown lead at home vs the Colts. If both teams want to reach the postseason party, they’ll have to win some crucial games at some point. The Falcons are 2.5 home faves. i like the Falcons for this win.

Noez:

Randy: Minn
St Louis vs Cincinnati- The Bengals are suddenly on a 2 game losing skid after losing a close game in Arizona. I know Bengals fans are probably going to start to panic because they’ve seen this before. For the Rams, they lost a close game on the road to Baltimore, but they have more to worry about now that their wide receiver Stedman Bailey got shot in the head & hip in Miami. They said the injuries aren’t life threatening, but prayers going out to his fam. The Bengals still have a 2 game lead over the Steelers in the AFC North, but can’t be going on a losing streak at this moment. The Rams are starting to losing pace in the wild card chase in the NFC. Must win game for both teams. It’s an even game for oddsmakers. I like the Bengals to get the job done at home.

Noez:

Randy: Cincy
New Orleans vs Houston- The Texans are suddenly starting to win some games. 3 outta of their last 4 & are at .500, tied w/ Indy for 1st place in the AFC south. The Colts won the 1st match-up, so the Texans need to win all out & hope the Colts lose a game at some point. The Saints are coming off their bye week & having to answer questions about firing Rob Ryan around as defensive coordinator. They have giving 31 points a game & allowed 424 yards a game, both ranked last in the league. That’s one of the reason for their 4-6 record & it would be a mission for them to make the postseason. The Texans are a fg home fave. I like the Texans to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy: Houston
Tampa Bay vs Indianapolis- Both teams are coming off wins & both are at 5-5. The Bucs went into Philly & laid the smack down on the Eagles. I’m surprised that Jameis Winston has gotten the Bucs to .500 at this point. The Colts went into Atlanta & came back to defeat the Falcons, making it the 3rd win w/ Matt Hasselback filling in for Andrew Luck as he recovers from his injury. Both teams are in postseason hunt, so it makes it a must win game for both teams. The Colts are a fg home fave. I like the Colts to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy: Tampa Bay
Miami vs NY Jets- AFC East battle here w/ both teams looking up at New England in the division. Both teams are coming off losses, the Dolphins losing to a returning Tony Romo for the Cowboys while the Jets lost to the Texans in H-Town. Believe it or not, both teams are in the hunt for the playoffs. The Jets won the 1st match-up in Miami, they’re just looking for the sweep. Jets are 3.5 home faves. I like the Jets at home.

Noez:

Randy: NYJ
San Diego vs Jacksonville- The Jags are looking to add momentum from their win last thursday night! It was a close match-up & the Jags are still in the race for the AFC South title. For the Bolts, embarassing home loss to the Chiefs & on the same day, they retired LaDainian Tomlinson’s number. The Chargers probably just want the season to end & see if they are L.A. bound, since that’s what their heads. The Jags are 3.5 home faves. I like the Jags to win & cover the spread as well

Noez:

Randy: Jacksonville
Oakland vs Tennessee- The Raiders are suddenly on a 3 game losing streak & I’m wonder if the fan base is already panicking because they fill their bubble is starting to bust. They are technically still in the race for the wild card spots. For the Titans, I wonder how they felt about Mariota taking a sack on the final play of the game last week. They were giving the Jags a run for their money until the Jags had that big play on special teams. They’ll now need a miracle to win the division. The Raiders are 1.5 road faves. I like the Raiders to get back to their winning ways.

Noez:

Randy: Tenn
Buffalo vs Kansas City- In my opinion, the Bills got cheated out to tie that game on Monday. The defense was playing their asses out, but it sucks that Tyron Taylor was playing hurt those final 2 drives. It hurt whenever he threw the ball. For the Chiefs, they went into San Diego & embarrassed the Chargers. The defense, game managing by Alex Smith & Cairo Santos have them on a 4 game winning streak, just a game back for that final wild card spot. Expect a low scoring game here because both defenses play out of their mind. Chiefs are 5 pt home faves. I like the Chiefs because of the Arrowhead Field factor.

Noez:

Randy: Kansas City
Arizona vs San Francisco- The Cards need a shallow Bengals defense to play prevent in order to win that game in the final seconds. Carson Palmer overcame a 1st qtr struggle in which he threw 2 ints to do damage. They are sitting comfortable atop the NFC West w/ a 3 game lead over the Seahawks. For the 49ers, they were smacked around in Seattle & lost Glenn Dorsey for the yr after he suffered a torn ACL. They are pretty much playing for drafting position in the draft. Arizona’s 10 pt road fave. I like the Cards to win, but take the under.

Noez:

Randy: Arizona
Pittsburgh vs Seattle- Suddenly, the Steelers are only 2 games back of the Bengals in the AFC North & a dark horse for the wild card spot. They are coming off a bye week & it gave Big Ben more rest on that foot. For the Seahawks, they were so happy that they faced the 49ers, knowing their struggles. They still have a puncher’s chance for a wild card spot, but it’ll be tough though. Both teams are in must win modes. The Seahawks are 4 pt home fave. I like the Seahawks to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy: Seattle
New England vs Denver- This game has lost a little lust to it w/ no Peyton Manning to face Tom Brady, however both teams are coming off close wins. The Broncos need a stop on the 2 pt conversion to stop the Bears. Ostweiller looked ok in his start. For the Pats, they need the refs to screw up the Bills. This has a playoff appeal to it. Can that Broncos slow down Brady & his weapons & can the backup move the offense? The Pats are a fg road fave. I like the Pats to win this one by a td.

Noez:

Randy: Denver
Monday
Baltimore vs Cleveland- AFCA North battle to end the week & it has snoozefest to it. The Ravens are coming off a home win to the Rams, but lost Joe Flaaco & Justin Forsett for the yr in the process. For my Browns, even though they were on a bye week, Johnny Manziel made some news during that time off. Pictures of him partying, knowing that he was in rehab during the offseason, surfaced up resulting in him losing the starting job that he was given to finish off the yr. The offense can’t move the ball & the defense can’t stop anybody. In my hometown, they’re already in Cavs mode. Both teams are under .500, so the ratings will take a nose dive this week. The Browns are 2.5 home faves, The last time we won a game this season, it was in overtime in Baltimore. I like them to get the sweep.

Randy: Cleveland
Last week, Randy continued his reign as the top dawn in these picks w/ a 10-4 showing while yours truly was behind him at 9-5 & Noez rounds out the field at 6-7. In the overall standings, Randy increased his gap by 7 games over me at 97-62 while I have a 90-69 showing & Noez rounds out at 79-77. Happy birthday shootouts to my girl Monique Moreno, my nephew Kevin Grayson, Takisha Elizabeth Artis, Magoo Fivesixtwo, Steve Ojeda, Christine Montes, Dee J Tism, my girl Jessica Lopez, Michelle Sabeva, my favorite go go dancer Brianna Ortiz, & last but not least, my mentors in this dj game, Danny ‘D Side’ Anderson & Albert ‘Plan B’ Lopez. W/O them, there would be no DJ Playmaker #salute. Since this rivalry week in college football, gotta shootout my Ohio St Buckeyes (shake off the Spartans’ loss & beat Blue), UCLA Bruins (beat SC), & Alabama Crimson Tide (Roll Tide & beat Auburn). Have a safe thanksgiving weekend & I’ll catch everyone on the next blog. Peace!!
