I know Kap’s not worried bout his job security, but can he turn this fan base around that wants him gone?

What an amazing 5 weeks we have seen so far!! We have our usual suspects (Green Bay, Denver & New England) still undefeated & a dog fight in the NFC South between Carolina & Atlanta. Last week, we saw the Jets dominate Miami so bad that Joe Phiblin lost his job, the Colts having to win a game w/o Andrew Luck, the Steelers not having trust in their kicker Josh Scobee in overtime, my Browns suffering a weird loss in San Diego, the shortest OT game in New Orleans & another Monday night controversy in Seattle. On any given sunday, anything can happen in the NFL. I wonder what we have in store for this week. We’ll find out starting on Thursday night.

Indianapolis vs Houston- AFC South match-up here & the Colts will have Luck to play this week. He was a last minute scratch last week & Matt Hasselback held his own vs the Jags. They got the win in overtime, but it was ugly. For the Texans, they got rolled on by Atlanta on the road, Arian Foster looked rusty in his 2015 debut & Mallett struggled again so they went back to Hoyer. We don’t know who’ll be behind center this week, but they might need to start winning soon or that’s the coach’s ass. It’s an even pick. I like the Colts on the road this week in a close one.

Randy: Houston

New Orleans vs Philadelphia- The Saints finally got in the win column last week in the shortest OT game ever. It took only 13 seconds for Drew Brees to find C.J. Spiller on a wheel route to end it. He came back w/ a vengeance after missing the week before. The Eagles suffered another loss, this time to their divisional rival Washington Redskins. Chip Kelly isn’t panicking ,saying things like “We’re 2 kicks away from being 3-1” He should be happy that the Cowboys are faltering like they are & that the NFC East is wide open for the moment. New Orleans is looking to get back in the race. Eagles are 4.5 home faves. I like the Eagles to win & cover.

Randy: Philly

Chicago vs Kansas City- The Bears finally got on the win column as well w/ a last second Robbie Gould fg to defeat the Raiders. Cutler & Bennett played a major role in the win. If they would had lost that game, fans would been calling on Chicago sports talk radio to fire John Fox or trade Cutler. It’s bad enough they are rumors for them listening to offers about Matt Forte. The Chiefs couldn’t find the end zone last week in Cincy. All their pts came from field goals. Not looking good for Andy Reid, who’s suppose to be the offensive genius. It’s a pick ’em game w/ the Chiefs a pt home have. I like the Chiefs since they are the home team.

Randy: Kansas City

Seattle vs Cincinnati- Whenever the Seahawks play on Monday night & at home, it seems like something controversial always happen. Few years ago, it was the Fail mary w/ the replacement officials, last night it was the batted ball knocked outta bounds, Kam Chancellor made a big play to force a fumble on Megatron before he crossed the goal line. K.J. Wright knocks the ball out the end zone, which was illegal & the officials blew the call. It wasn’t a typical win for them because the offensive line couldn’t protect Russell Wilson & Jimmy Graham can’t block for ish. For the Bengals, still undefeated after the win. Should they win this week, it’ll be the 1st time they reached that mark since 1988, when they finished 12-4 & played in the Super Bowl. This will tell us if the Bengals are contenders or pretenders. Cincy’s a 2.5 home fave. I like the Bengals by a fg.

Randy: Seattle

Washington vs Atlanta- Both teams are coming off wins. The Skins had a brilliant effort to defeat the Eagles & I think Cousins is starting to come around. For the Falcons, they mollywhopped the Falcons & Devanta Frankiln is starting to become a star. A little turmoil in the A-T-L is starting w/ Roddy White not liking his reduce role in the offense. He pretty much doesn’t like to be known for his run blocking skills. I hope this is water under bridge & he’s apart of the offense w/ Julio Jones. Falcons are 7.5 home faves. I like the Falcons to win & cover.

Randy: Atlanta

Jacksonville vs Tampa Bay- Another battle of Florida game here. The Jags already beaten the Dolphins, looking for that sweep. The Jags played hard to defeat the Colts last week, but the Colts w/o Luck wanted it more. It was a defensive battle & they had an opportunity to win in regulation. The Bucs had a tough loss vs the Panthers. Their kicker was released after missing a couple fgs. At least they haven’t pointed fingers at Jameis yet. Rookie life. Tampa’s 2.5 home faves. I like the Jags to get the win.

Randy: Jacksonville

Cleveland vs Baltimore- The Ravens got on the win column last week vs the Steelers. Honestly, I thought it was over for the Ravens until Josh Scobee happened. The Ravens were banged up w/ Steve Smith & Michael Campanaro getting hurt. Now Smith’s out for this game & Campanaro’s out for the yr, resulting in them trading for Chris Givens. For my Browns, they played a close game in the 619 before they lost. The offense was clicking, but the defense, which is ranked last in the league is the problem. Joe Haden didn’t play w/ a broken finger & they are now questioning his threshold for pain. This defense has to wake up at some point. The Ravens are 6.5 home faves. I’m still riding w/ my Browns though.

Randy: Baltimore

Buffalo vs Tennessee- The Bills are looking to shake off the Giants’ loss. It’s bad enough that LeSean McCoy wasn’t healthy to play last week, now Karlos Williams is dealing w/ concussion symptoms leaving Anthony Dixon as the only healthy running back. The Titans are coming off the bye week, so they are relaxed & focused. Bills are 2.5 road faves. I like the Bills to win a close one.

Randy: Tenn

St. Louis vs Green Bay- The Rams will look to carry that momentum of that Arizona road win into Lambeau as they faced the Packers. The defense came up w/ a big play when the Cards were looking to take the lead. However, that defense took a major blow w/ the injury to Alec Ogletree’s ankle. Bright spot was the performance of Todd Gurley (146 yes on 19 carries). For the Packers, another win for them vs the 49ers & Aaron Rodgers didn’t need to go off on them. Let’s see how the Packers will try to stop Gurley. Packers are 9 pt home faves. I like the Packers to win & take the under.

Arizona vs Detroit- Both teams are coming off losses. The Lions were technically robbed by the officiating in Seattle. It sucks that they are 0-4 because they have the talent w/ Stafford & Megatron, but they aren’t getting the results they want & that’s the wins. The Cards are just suffering their 1st setback last week at home. It’s okay to be knock back to reality for them. It’s must win time for the Lions. Cards are 2.5 road faves. I like the Cards to win this one.

Randy: Arizona

New England vs Dallas- My, oh my, how things have changed for the Cowboys. Looked good after the 2-0 start, but things started to crumble soon as Romo went down. Weeden looked good for them to win last week.Hell, he drove them down the field to tie the game. They are starting to get some players back w/ Greg Hardy returning from his suspension & he decided to tug on Superman’s cape aka Tom Brady w/ his comments bout his wife & sister in law. For the Pats, coming off the bye week & averaging like 35 pts a game. Expect the Cowboys defense to have their  track shoes on & find a way to pressure Brady. New England’s a 8.5 road fave. I like the Pats to win & the Cowboys fans are counting down the days until Romo & Dez returns (sorry Letty, speaking the truth)

Randy: New England

Denver vs Oakland- AFC west rivalry here. The Raiders are a surprising 2-2, played enough to almost get the win n Chi-town. The Broncos are still undefeated & their defense is playing a major part in their last 2 wins. Little known fact that I saw couple days ago. Both Peyton Manning & Charles Woodson are future hall of famers & were in the same 1998 draft. Woodson has 62 career ints, but none of them from Manning. It’s his 39th b-day today & he said he would love to get a pick from Manning as a b-day gift. I’m rooting for him to get that. The Broncos are 5 pt road faves. I like the Broncos to win, but take the under

San Francisco vs NY Giants- The Tomsula experiment is in the rockiest stages of the season. A home loss vs the Packers & the fan base is already turning on Kapernick. It’s bad enough that Clay Matthews saying he ain’t Russell Wilson, it’s also bad that some people think they should trade him & let Blaine Gabbert get his time to shine. For the Giants, they’re starting to turn things around & are tied w/ the Cowboys & Redskins in the wide open division that is the NFC East. Odell Beckham got hit in the pockets though for hitting Bills players. It’s the part of having the bull-eyes on you. After that rookie season w/ the catch & getting the cover of Madden, every secondary player licking their chops to take shots at him. Giants are touchdown home faves. I like the G-Man to win & take the over.

Randy: NYG

Pittsburgh vs San Diego- The Chargers get another AFC North opponent this week in Quacolm this week. They pulled out a last minute win vs the Browns last week & Phillp Rivers carved up that last ranked Browns defense. He gets a decent Steelers defense this week. The Steelers are still shaking their heads about some decisions Mike “Pete Carroll” Tomlin did last week. At least they won’t have Josh Scobee to kick anymore. Also, we’ll see if Michael Vick & Antonio Brown can get some chemistry going together. Vick played good to win, but he took 5 sacks, which was bad for that line to not protect him. I think Antonio Gates returns from his suspension this week for the Chargers. Chargers are fg home faves. You already know how I feel about the Wack & Yellow. I got the Chargers in this game.

Randy: San Diego

Last week, Randy was the man w/ the master plan as he finished w/ a 11-5 showing with yours truly having that 10-5 mark & Noez rounding things out w/ a 6-9 recordd. In the overall standings, randy increased his slight lead w/a 39-24 record, myself right behind at 37-26 & Noez playing catch-up at 29-33. Happy b-day shootouts to my girl Amber Sandoval, Lisa Mendoza, Rossana Bianchi, the homie Ruben Benitez aka VJ Envy, Jesse Espinoza, my cousin Nathaniel Dunn III, the twins Jaclyn Rosecrans & her sis Jennifer, Antoine Boulos (hope you & Burt enjoy that Blue Jays playoff game), Frank Benavidez, John Steele Lisa Del Real, & my WHS classmate of 95 Viviana Vigil (hope to see you at the reunion next week). Hope everyone haves a safe Columbus Day weekend & I’ll catch everyone on the next blog. Peace!!!
