It’s Michael Vick til Big Ben returns #holdthefortdown

We have already seen some surprises & weird things happened after 3 weeks in the season. Last week, we saw another star (Ben Roethlisberger) suffer an injury, resulting in 4-6 weeks missing games, the Pats showing no mercy to the Jags, the Raiders at 2-1, Kaepernick throws 4ints vs the Cards, 2 of them pick 6, the Falcons w/ a comeback win in Jerry World & Aaron Rodgers going Madden on the Chiefs!! What do we have for week 4? We don’t know, but we shall see starting on Thursday.

Baltimore vs Pittsburgh- One of the nastiest rivalries in the AFC North starts off the week. Both teams are going in opposite directions. The Steelers are 2-1 coming off their win vs the Rams, but suffered a major blow w/ Big Ben going down. It’s Michael Vick’s job to hold the fort down until Ben returns. For the Ravens, an 0-3 start & I’m surprised the fan base isn’t panicking yet. It’s bad enough that not only they are behind Cincy & Pittsburgh, but my Browns are ahead of them. They are in must win mode right now as we speak. Ravens are 2.5 road faves. I hate both teams, but I like my chances w/ the Steelers. Just let Vick be a game manager.

Randy: Baltimore

N.Y Jets vs Miami- AFC East match-up & it’s in London. The Jets are looking to recover from that home loss vs the Eagles. Fitz played a bad game, but he’ll shake it off. For the Dolphins, they got smoked at home vs the Bills & the fans are already at Philbin’s head. I thought they would be the only team in the AFC East to give New England trouble. They need to get their stuff together. It’s a picked game, but I like the Jets in a close game.

Randy: NYJ

Jacksonville vs Indianapolis- AFC South match-up & all the teams in that division are 1-2. The Colts are coming off a close win vs the Titans. Andrew Luck sorta shook off his funk he had earlier in the season.  The Jags ran into the buzz saw that’s called the New England Patriots (wrong place, wrong time). At least whoever wins this game can say they are in 1st place in the division.  Colts are 9 pt home faves.. I like the Colts to win & cover the spread.

Randy: Indy

NY Giants vs Buffalo- The Giants finally got on the win column last week vs the Redskins. They finally held on to a 4th qtr lead & Eli played a great game w/ no turnovers. They were expecting Victor Cruz to return this week, but he suffered a setback in practice & is probable for this week. The Bills put up 41 on Miami last week & Tyrod Taylor had another great game. It’s a Super Bowl XXV rematch (Scott Norwood anyone) & the Bills will have home field advantage for this game. Bills are 5.5 home faves. I’ll take the G-man on the road.

Randy: Buffalo

Carolina vs Tampa Bay- NFC South battle here. The Panthers are 3-0 after their win last week vs the Saints, picked up Jared Allen in a trade w/ the Bears, but the Ed Hochili/Cam Newton story was bigger than the game. It’s pretty much superstar player trying to sell a call & the ref wasn’t having any of it. The Bucs took one on the chin in H-town. Cam vs Jameis will be the storyline here. Both of them are Heisman trophy winners & Winston already lost to Mariota earlier this yr. It’ll be a close game. Panthers are 3 pt road faves. I like the Panthers by a td.

Randy: Carolina

Philadelphia vs Washington- The Eagles probably saved their season w/ that win over the Jets last week & they can thank Darren Sproles for that. The win also saved the media from going after Chip Kelly’s head. Will Demarco Murrary play this week, we don’t know. For the Redskins, road loss in New York & looks like RG III’s back to practicing w/ the team, making that qb controversy a bigger mess. At least the NFC East is starting to look wide open to win. Eagles are fg road faves. I like the Eagles to win & take the over.

Randy: Washington

Oakland vs Chicago- Who would had thought the Raiders would be 2-1 at this point? They are coming off a win in Cleveland & Derek Carr, Lativius Murray, & Amari Cooper had a field day on my Brownies. For the Bears, last week in Seattle was a disaster. 10 punts & were shutout. They also traded Jared Allen for a draft pick. Only question for them this week is will Jeffery & Cutler play in the game. Raiders are 2.5 road faves. I like the Raiders & take the over.

Randy: Oakland

Houston vs Atlanta- The Falcons are on a cloud high, especially after last week in Dallas, Down by 14 at the half, Matty Ice, Julio Jones, & Devonta Freeman put the team on their back & got them the win. 3-0 & tied w/ the Panthers in the NFC South. For the Texans, got their 1st win, thanks to Alfred Blue & they might get a boost because Arian Foster looks like a game time decision. That takes some pressure off Mallet. The Falcons are 6.5 home faves. I like the Falcons to win & cover.

Randy: Atlanta

Kansas City vs Cincinnati- The Bengals are 3-0 & might start to feel them themselves in the AFC North after hearing the status of Roethelisger’s injury. Last week, A.J. Green continued to show why he owns Baltimore’s secondary. For the Chiefs, last Monday, Aaron Rodgers carved them up like turkey for 5 tds. Only bright spots for the Chiefs were a wide receiver (Jeremy Maclin) finally caught a td pass from Alex Smith after 2 yrs & Jamal Charles w/ another 2 tds. Let’s hope their defense can slow down Dalton & not make him look like Boomer Esiason. The Bengals are 4 pt home faves.  I like the Bengals to win & take a slight over.

Randy: Cincy

Cleveland vs San Diego- My Browns are looking to shake off that Raiders loss & forget about this in house mess w/ reports from TMZ saying anmounius players wanting Johnny Manziel to start over Josh McCown. This qb situation is making me sick & I wish the coach & front office can make up their mind. For the Chargers, a road loss vs the Vikings & are looking up at the Broncos & Raiders in the division. At least they should happy they get the Browns this week. Chargers are 7.5 home faves. Still sticking to my guts w/ my Browns to win.

Randy: San Diego

Green Bay vs San Francisco- That bad man Aaron Rodgers returns to the Bay Area this weekend. On Monday, he went H.A.M on the Chiefs for 5 td passes . His performance was so great that his backup compared him to Michael Jordan. Pump your brakes before you make those comparisons. For the 49ers, they got smoked by the Cardinals in Arizona, Kaep throwning 2 pick 6’s & his teammates calling him out. Like I said in the opening blog, it’s going be a tough season for them.  GB are 9 pt road faves. I like the Packers to win & take the over.

Randy: Green Bay

St. Louis vs Arizona- I guess the Cards got their coach’s attention after that performance last week vs the 49ers. The defense forced 4 ints, 2 of them were pick 6’s & Carson Palmer pretty much had to put his feet up in that game. For the Rams, not only the field caught on fire in the dome, they lost a close game vs the Steelers. It’s a divisional battle, but they are in Glendale & those fans are rowdy. Arizona are 6.5 home faves. I like the Cards to win & take the over.

Randy: Arizona

Minnesota vs Denver- The Vikings are coming off a home win vs the Vikings & Peterson’s looking like his old self again. I bet Bridgewater is happy about that. For the Broncos, Manning & that defense was the storyline in that win over the Lions. After week 1 when people say Peyton’s done, he’s had 2 great games & shutting the critics up. Will that Broncos slow down “Purple Jesus” that’s the question? Broncos are 6.5 home faves. I like the Broncos at home.

Randy: Denver

Dallas vs New Orleans- The Cowboys are hoping to forget what happened to them last week. It was basically a tale of two halves. 1st half, it was the Joseph Randle show w/ his 3 rushing tds, then the 2nd half happened in which the defense was just overpowered by the Falcons. I guess the injuries of Tony Romo & Dez Bryant is starting to kick in offensively. At least they have help after this game. For the Saints, Luke McCown did a good job filling in for Brees, but threw a costly int when they were driving to take the lead. The Saints hope they’ll have Brees this week. Saints are 0-3 & it’s a must win game for them. Saints are 5.5 home faves. I like the Saints to get in the win column this week.

Randy: Dallas

Detroit vs Seattle- The Seahawks got a boost from the returning Kam Chancellor & Jimmy Graham finally got into the end zone in their win last week. I guess that’s what the Seahawks needed to get their swagger back. For the Lions, Matthew Stafford still taken a beating from opposing beating & the Broncos got to him a lot last week. That line better protect him or it’ll be a short season for him. At least we get a match-up of Megatron vs Richard Sherman. Seahawks are 9.5 home faves. I like the Seahawks to win big!

Randy: Seattle

Last week, yours truly & Randy were tied for the top spot w/ a 13-3 showing while Noez was behind us w/ a 9-6 showing. It’s very close in the overall race w/ randy at 28-20, yours truly at 27-21 & noes at 23-24. Thanks for the b-day love last week. Happy b-day shootouts to Lydia Ocampo, Nikki Alvarado, Heather Serrano, the coordinator for WHS 25 yr high school reunion Sarah Rodriguez-McKelvey & my girl Lauren Macias!! Catch everyone on the next blog. Peace!!
