Would you want this guy as your boss #deadmanwalking

I hoped everyone enjoyed the opening week of the NFL season. I know I did. We saw the Seahawks looking impressive in their title defense, the Dolphins making Tom Brady a shell of himself, the 49ers making Romo & the Cowboys look dumb, Eli & the Giants still can’t handle the West Coast Offense & the Chargers choking on Monday night. We also impressive fantasy numbers put up by Matt Ryan & Megatron. We also saw injuries to players who are suppose to make a difference to their team in Chris Long (8 to 10 weeks) & Jadevon Clowney (4 to 6), but nothing compares to the witch hunt that is the Ray Rice story. Apparently, there was new footage released that shows Ray punching his then fiancee’/now wife Jana in the elevator. He was already serving his 2 game suspension & was ready to make his regular season debut in week 3 til the footage was leaked. When that happened, the Ravens organization had no choose but to release him. I know it was wrong to fire him, but if they didn’t do anything after the tape was shown, the last thing they needed was a bunch of woman groups breathing down their necks. Now, you got word that Goodell asked for the copy of the tape, but never received it, yet today we found out that they had that tape in April. Basically, a he said/she said situation. My quick thoughts: everyone was in the wrong. Ray & Jana, even though I don’t condone domestic violence, she shouldn’t never put her hands on him & he should had never retaliate. The commissioner for probably lying & last but not least, TMZ!! Enough of the Ray Rice bs, let’s do some picks.

Pittsburgh vs Baltmore- The Ravens are coming off a tough loss, but everyone knows the real distraction has been on them after Monday. I feel bad for Harbaugh to answer those questions on Monday when in reality, Ozzie Newsome & the GM should’ve handled the situation. They were coming off a tough loss to Cincy & now they have to answer some non football questions in preparation for a game. For the Steelers, they almost blew a 27-3 halftime lead to my Browns, but held on to win by a field goal. If I was Tomlin, I’ll be pissed because they almost blew the game. Divisional battle, so expect a short scoring game between these two. The Ravens are 2.5 home faves. I see the Steelers stealing this game because of the Ray Rice storyline being a major distraction.

Randy: Baltimore

New Orleans vs Cleveland- My Browns got the home opener this week. For the 1st half last week, I was thinking “Same ole sorry ass Browns” Then the 3rd qtr started & their offense woke up & they started to score tds & stopping the Steelers offense. Pretty much, they outscored them 24-3 in the 2nd half. I was impressed by Terrance West & Isasih Crowell filling it for an injured Ben Tate. For the Saints, tough to loss in Atlanta. They couldn’t stop Matt Ryan for going off. Remember, the Saints will be playing on grass, so you’re taking them out of their element. Saints are 6.5 faves. I like my Browns to play all 4 qtrs on both sides of the field & steal this win.

Randy: New Orleans

Miami vs Buffalo- That Dolphins is no joke & last week, they made Tom Brady look scared in the pocket. Too much Kameron Wake getting to Brady & Ryan Tannerhill is looking to make his 3rd yr memorable. For the Bills, they had two victories this week. They defeated the Bears in to & it looks like they will stay in Buffalo after they sold the team to the Pegula family who already own the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL. It’s their home opener & they would want to impress the new owners in a real way. The Fins are 1.5 road faves. I like the Dolphins to steal this one in Wilson Stadium.

Randy: Miami

Detroit vs Carolina- The Lions looked good on Monday & Megatron made the Giants his personal bitch. Hell, Stafford looked good & no turnovers by him was the key. The Panthers went into Tampa & defeated the Bucs w/out Cam Newton. Newton says he’s ready to go this game. Home opener for the Panthers. I was tossing & turning bout this pick because of the return & how he would look in the game. Panthers are 2.5 home faves. I like the Bucs by a fg because I don’t know how Cam would look.

Randy: Carolina

Atlanta vs Cincinnati- I expect a shootout in this contest. Both teams are coming off wins. Matty Ice went ham on the Saints d’ for 440 yes & 3 tds. He’s happy that Julio Jones is back from the ACL injury & Roddy White is happy he’s back as well. The running game looked improve w/ Jacquizz Rodgers & if Steven Jackson can give them something, that’ll help. The Bengals come off a come from behind win vs the Ravens. Whoever plays fantasy football would love this match-up. Matty Ice, Julio Jones, & Roddy White vs Andy Dalton & A.J. Green. Expect a lot of passing yds. Bengals are 5 pt home faves. I like the Bengals by a fg.

Randy: Cincinnati

New England vs Minnesota- Who would had thought the Viking would put up 34 pts on the Rams last week. I expected at least 20, but damn. Adrian Peterson only had 75 yds, but Cordalle Patterson proved to everyone why he was high on everyone’s fantasy list. For the Pats, it looks like a long sea on for Brady if that offensive line can’t protect him. That Logan Mankins will back fire on them. It’s the home opener for the Vikings & it’ll be weird that it won’t be in a dome since the Vikings are having a new stadium built for them. Pats are 5 pt road faves. I like the Pats to win that one. Brady better hope he has protection this game.

Randy: New England

Arizona vs N.Y. Giants- The Cards are flying high after that come from behind win vs the Chargers. In that game, the good Carson Palmer showed up w/ over 300 yds, 2 tds & no ints. I expected some turnovers from him, but he surprised me & Larry Fitzgerald didn’t trip bout only having 1 catch. For the Giants, they still can’t handle that West Coast offense & Eli’s not looking good. He had 27 ints last yr & he threw 2 on Monday. Still can’t run the ball & Victor Cruz only had 2 catches for 27 yes won’t cut it. Home opener for the G-Men. They better have a great showing or those tough NY fans will let them know. Arizona is 2.5 road faves. I don’t know I’m dining this, but I see the G-Men getting their act together & getting a win.

Randy: Arizona

Dallas vs Tennessee- What the hell happened to the Cowboys on Sunday? We know Romo was coming off surgery, but we didn’t expect getting sacked 4 times & throwing 3 ints on a banged up 49ers defense. Until he gets his arm strength back, hand the ball off to Demarco Murrary. The Titans are coming off an impressive win vs the Chiefs in Arrowhead. If Jake Locklear can stay healthly this yr, they can make some things happen. They just need a decent running game to complete their passing game. Titans are 3.5 home faves. I see the Cowboys get a close win on the road (happy now Letty)

Randy: Tennessee

Jacksonville vs Washington- Both teams are coming off losses. The Jags had a 17-0 lead on the Eagles in the 1st half only to lose 34-17. The Skins didn’t look good & RG III still looks rusty. They know it’s bad after week 1 when they are already talking bout when Kurt Cousins going play. Home opener for the Skins and they are 6 pt faves. I like the Skins by a fg.

Randy: Washington

Seattle vs San Diego- The champs looked good vs the Packers on Thursday. Russell Wilson must be happy that Percy Harvin’s healthy because he looked impressive & Marshawn Lynch was straight up “Beast Mode” as usual. Funny part bout that win was Aaron Rodgers didn’t throw in Richard Sherman’s direction. I wonder if Phillip Rivers is going test him this week. For the Chargers, the Cards’ defense made things for Rivers last game. They had the lead & they couldn’t hold on to it. It may be a home game for the Chargers & the home opener, but they better not have the 12th man take over their stadium. Champs are 5.5 road faves. I like the Seahawks to win & cover.

Randy: Seattle

St. Louis vs Tampa Bay- Both teams are coming off losses, but the hits kept on coming for the Rams. They were already w/o Bradford & Pead on the offensive side , now Chris Long (Howie’s son) is out for 8 weeks after undergoing ankle surgery. That’s a major blow on the defensive side. Now Robert Quinn’s going see a lot of double teams. For the Bucs, they didn’t look good vs the Panthers. I respect Lovie Smith as a coach, but they need a qb. Really, Josh Mckown the answer? It may come down to which qb (McKown or Hill) manage the game well. The Bucs are 5.5 home faves. I like the Bucs to get the win.

Randy: Tampa Bay

Kansas City vs Denver- AFC west match-up right here. The Chiefs were shell-shocked by the Titans in their home opener. I think not having Dwayne Bowe play in the opener hurted them. The Broncos had a close home win over the Colts w/ Peyton having a decent game. If the Chiefs want respect in this division, they got a least split or sweep the Broncos to get their attention. The Broncos are 13.5 home faves. I like the Broncos to win, but that’s too high of a spread.

Randy: Denver

N.Y. Jets vs Green Bay- What happened to the Packers last week. I expected them to give the champs a run, but the Seahawks made them look like a college team. The Packers went downhill when their 2 linemen got hurt & Lacy got a concussion. He couldn’t get anything going. For the Jets, they are coming off a win over the Raiders. The defense played great & Geno was so/so. He still making turnovers, but it’s his 2nd yr . Let’s hope he manages to cut them down. Home opener for the Packers, so Lambeau Field will be rocking. Packers are 8 pt faves. I like the Packers to win.

Randy: Green Bay

Houston vs Oakland- The Texans got the win, but loses Clowney for 4 to 6 weeks after knee surgery. It’s the 2nd surgery he’s had in 4 months, the 1st one was for hernia. However, they still have J.J. Watt, who made RG III’s a living hell last week & Arian Foster got back to his old ways. For the Raiders, tough loss to the Jets, but Derek Carr looked good & he moved the ball better. Speaking of Carr, he gets to face his older brother David’s former team & Matt Schaub, the former Texans qb is Carr’s back-up. Home opener for the Raiders, so expect the Black Hole to get rowdy. The Texans are 3pt road faves. I like the Raiders by a Sea Bass fg.

Randy: Houston

Chicago vs San Francisco- The 49ers get their regular season home opener in their new digs. They looked impressive in their road win over the Cowboys. They could had more, but Harbaugh decide to take his foot off the pedal by running the ball & controlling the clock. Carlos Hyde played the perfect back-up to Gore. No wonder LaMichael James asked for his release. For the Bears, they had their chance to defeat the Bills last week, but Jay Cutler threw one of those costly picks that hurts his team. The Bears should remember the last time they faced the Niners in the Bay. It was Kaep’s debut & he outplayed Jason Campbell, who played for an injured Cutler. Under the lights, so expect the crowd to be hyped. 49ers are a td home fave. I like the 49ers to win & cover.

Randy: San Francisco

Philadelphia vs Indianapolis- The Eagles had some 1st half troubles w/ the Jags before getting their stuff together & scored 34 unanswered points. Sproles made a difference & they must be glad that they have Macklin back because he’s that no.1 guy since Desean’s gone. For the Colts, not only they lost to the Broncos, but Robert Mathis, who was already suspended 4 games for violating the substance policy, tore his ACL in a workout & now he’s done for the yr. That defense took a blow & it’s going be hard for them to get to the qb. Home opener for the Colts, so expect a hostile crowd, especially in a dome. Colts are a 3 pt home fave. I like the Eagles by a td

Randy: Indianapolis

Last week, in the opening week of the pick’ems, Randy set the tone w/ a 12-4 showing while yours finished w/ 9-7 showing. If that was bad, I got manhandled by Mega 7981 in the 1st week of fantasy football. I had some mistakes like not sticking to my guns & starting Kaep & benching Brady. Mega would had destroyed me more had he started Matt Ryan over Peyton Manning. It’s a long season for both of pick’ems & f.f, so don’t panic like French Montana would say. Before I go, b-day shoutouts to Lorena Hernandez, my boy Raul “Boogie” Caracoza, Andy Clark, Janis Ortega, Lea Reck, Marcus Gil Lopez, Robert Duran, Alex Jamie, Eugene Hidalgo & Anna Chagolla!! My prediction for the fight this weekened, I think Maidana is gonna pull it off. Floyd has too much on his mind (ex is suing him & 50 & T.I. beefing w/ him). I see everyone on the next blog. Peace!!!
