The conference championships that America wanted & they got it!!

And then there was only 4! Yes, that’s right. We are down to 4 teams who are in their respective conference championship games knowing only 2 teams are 60 mins away from punching their tickets to the big game in NYC. Both conference have the match-ups that America wanted to see. Last week in the divisional rounds, we saw LeGarrette Blount put the Pats on his back w/ 4 tds & made Brady’s job much easier in their win, the Seahawks holding off the Saints in their win (c’mon man goes to Marques Colston by the way), the 49ers playing mind games & toying w/ the Panthers, & the Broncos holding off a late Chargers push. Both conference match-ups have interesting storylines & we’ll get to them. Let’s break down conference championship week!!

Sunday

New England vs Denver- Battle of the pocket passers here between Tom Brady & Peyton Manning. This is the 15th time they faced each other in their career & Brady beat him earlier this yr w/ a comeback win in Foxborro. Brady holds the overall edge w/ a 10-4 record. Last week’s win was weird because Brady didn’t throw a td pass & the running game was the key. The Broncos just had to win because they were hearing bout last yr’s 1 & done all last week. It may come down to defense & both teams are ranked in the 20th’s defensively. Expect a shootout between these teams & it may come down to whoever has the ball last wins. The Broncos are 6 pts home fave. I know Peyton has the great season & all, but for some reason I’m pulling for Brady & the Pats to win & cover.

San Francisco vs Seattle- If Brady/Manning was the undercard, then this is the main event. Both teams just don’t like each other. This has been the best rivalry in the NFL in the last 2 years. Both coaches (Harbaugh & Carroll) got their teams to play off their motinons. The 49ers are the hot team, winning 8 straight games, however the Seahawks have homefield & that 12th mane ain’t no joke. It’s a divisional battle & very heated rivalry. The Seahawks have outscored the Niners 71-16 the last 2 games in Century Link stadium, but the 49ers barely outscore them in Candlestick. The Seahawks are 3.5 home faves. You already know whom I’m rooting for. I hated Carroll since he was at SC’. Before the Cardinals winning in Seattle this yr, the last team to win there was the 49ers. They’ve done it before, they could do it again.

Last week, Randy was the only guy to pick all 4 winners while I went 3-1 while Noez forgot to turn in his picks. Last yr, I got the conference championship winners right, I hope lightning strikes again this week. Happy b-day shoutouts to MK Louix, Millinda Foley, my C-Town fam Sheronda Hogue, Lisa Riverie, Yvette Calazada, Lalo Juarez, my girls Andreya Garcia & Veronica Nolasco (turn up time on Friday), Jesse Zuniga, & Nick Gumina. I’m ready to turn up on Sunday w/ my peeps DJ D-Side & Doughboy for that AFC/NFC championship game party hosted by Alex & Jessica Reyes. Campaign Life in this bitch!! Catch y’all in 2 weeks when I break down the Super Bowl. Hope everyone have a safe Dr. King weekend & happy b-day to him as well. Peace!!
