the look of a pissed off owner when his $55 mil qb blows another game in December

Yes sir!! We only got 1 more week til the regular season & the playoffs. We have 3 division titles up for grabs as well as the wild card spots. Last week, we saw the Cowboys & Romo finding another way to lose a game in December, the Dolphins pulling off a win vs the Pats in South Beach, Jamal Charles exploding for 5 tds on the Raiders & Justin Tucker’s 61 yd game winning fg over the Lions & Schwartz being dumb not to call a timeout to ice him, I wonder what we have in store for this week. Let’s break down this games. Thank god there’s no Thursday night games.

Sunday

Miami vs Buffalo- The Dolphins & Ravens are in a dog fight for that fnal wild card spot. The Dolphins are coming off a great win vs the Pats at home. Props to Tannehill for leading that game winning drive. A lil bit I want them to make the postseason because it would stop the Incognito/Martin convo & speaking of Incognito, he’s still on the suspended list, but they’re going pay him. As for the Bills, coming off a win vs the Jags, but now just playing for pride. It’s a rivalry game, so expect a lot of hard hitting & the Dolphins want to even the head to head series since the Bills won the 1st game in South Beach. Phins are 2.5 road faves. I like the Dolphins by a fg. I wonder how the weather’s going be for that game.

New Orleans vs Carolina- Round 2 of this NFC South match-up. The Saints won the 1st round in the Superdome 2 weeks ago. However, they are tied again because the Saints are coming off a win over the Jets while the Saints got embarrassed on the road again by a Rams team. The Rams wanted to show up Rob Ryan in that game since he did them dirty about wanting the defensive coordinator job for them. It’s a big game for both. The Saints get the tiebreaker w/ a win while the Panthers could win the division if they win the next 2 games. The Panthers are a fg home fave. It’s outside & no dome, so I gotta ride w/ the Panthers.

Minnesota vs Cincinnati- The Vikings are looking hot winning 3 out of their last 4 games, including last week vs the Eagles & they didn’t have Adrian Peterson nor Toby Gerhart playing. They’ll be ready for this game. The Bengals are coming off a beatdown in Pittsburgh & now they have the Ravens on their back because their lead in the AFC North on them is only a game & they close out the season vs them. Like I said on Twitter on Sunday, the Bengals are the NFL’s version of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. The Bengals are a td favorite. They should be happy they close the season w/ 2 home games because they haven’t lost a home game this yr. I like the Bengals to win.

Denver vs Houston- The Broncos are looking to redeem themselves after that home loss vs the Chargers on Thursday. They should be happy that the Pats lost because they are in a race for homefield in the AFC playoffs w/ them. For the Texans, they just want to end the season & Wade Phillips wants to prove that he’s the guy for the job. The Broncos are 10.5 road faves. I see the Broncos winning & going over the spread.

Tennessee vs Jacksonvile- An AFC South meaningless game here. Both teams are coming off tough home losses. The Jags lost a tough one to the Bills while the Titans lost an overtime thriller vs the Cards. Jags won the 1st match-up in Tennessee, so they’re looking for the split. Who wants to finish 2nd behind Indy? The Titans are 5 pt road faves. I like the Jags to win at home.

Indinapolis vs Kansas City- Both teams are coming off wins & have already clinched playoff berths w/ the Colts winning their division. The Chiefs still have hope to win the AFC West should Denver stumble down the stretch. Jamal Charles picked the right time to break out w/ 5 tds in the Raiders game. The Colts signed another running back to added to their rb committee of Richardson & Donald Brown. It’s a big game for both teams. The Chiefs are 6.5 home faves. I like the Chiefs by a fg.

Dallas vs Washington- Both teams are in a mess & coming off losses. The Cowboys found a way to blow a 24-10 lead & let Green Bay scored 5 tds in the 2nd half & to make it worse, Matt Flynn was the Packers quarterback. Romo found a bad time to throw a crucial pick & Dez Bryant left the sidelines early because he didn’t want the cameras to see him cry. For the Redskins, lost a close game vs the Falcons & now Shanahn’s fighting to keep his job. He’s already told Snyder he’s not resigning, but the franchise qb RGIII thinks changes will be made after the season. The Cowboys won the 1st match-up & they can’t lose another game because w/ one more loss, the Eagles probably will win the NFC East. The Cowboys are 2.5 road faves. I’m choosing the Cowboys to win, but again like I tell every Cowboys fan this time of yr: IT’S DECEMBER!! (Hear that Letty)

Cleveland vs N.Y. Jets- My Browns are starting to piss me off (then again, what else is new). They had a 7 pt lead heading into the 4th qtr, then the 8th ranked defense gives up 21 unanswered pts in the 4th as well as letting Matt Forte becoming the 1st back to run over 100 yds vs them. The defense scored 2 tds & Josh Gordon had a quiet game, but scored another td & now leads the league in receiving yds. For the Jets, got spanked on the road in Carolina & Santino Holmes needs to keep his mouth shut the next time he pops off bout the Carolina secondary. It’s been a roller coaster season for Geno Smith. He increased his int total to 21 & him & Eli Manning has combined to throw 46 ints this yr. It sucks to be a qb in that city. The Jets are 2.5 home faves. I like my Browns to get to Geno, cause some turnovers & get the win. I’m hoping Haden’s playing this game as well.

Tampa Bay vs St Louis- The Bucs are coming off a home loss to the 49ers while the Rams are coming off a great home win vs the Saints. The Rams are still in the hunt for the postseason, but they will need a lot of help. If they don’t make the postseason, their goal would be to finish w/ an 8-8 record. The Bucs are just finishing out the season. The Rams are 5 pt home faves. I like the Rams to win this game.

Arizona vs Seattle- Round 2 of this match-up. The Seahawks won the 1st match-up in Arizona & can win the division w/ a win or a 49ers loss. The Seahawks went into Met Life Stadium, the site of this yr’s Super Bowl & shut out the Giants, forcing 5 Eli Manning ints. I think Richard Sherman told them in pre game huddles that they’ll be back soon there. For the Cards, a hard tough road overtime win in Tenessee & did it w/out Larry Fitzgerald, who left the game w/ a concussion. He says he’s playing this game. Both teams are beasts at home, but the Seahawks have some swagger on the road. The Seahawks are 10.5 home faves. I think the 12th man will affect the Cards. I see the Seahawks winning & covering the spread.

NY Giants vs Detroit- Both teams are a mess. The Giants, who are already eliminated from postseason play, just got popped in the mouth by the Seahawks while the Lions lost a close home game vs the Ravens & dropped to 3rd in the NFC North. They are killing Schwartz for not calling a timeout to freeze the kicker & Stafford for his late game mechanics w/ those ints. I’m surprise that Calvin Johnson’s getting a pass because he had some key drops & he’s 3rd in the league in that category. Who wants to win the NFC North? Let me know. The Lions are 8.5 home faves. I like the Lions to win a close game.

New England vs Baltimore- The game of the week. The Pats want to redeem themselves after that close road loss in Miami. They needed to win that game to clinch the division & put pressure on the Broncos for homefield. They’ll still win the divison regardless, but they want that top spot. For the Ravens, 6 Justin Tucker fg, including the game winning 61 yard defeated the Lions & has them controlling their own destiny for that final wild card spot. They still have hopes for the AFC North since they are only half game back of Cincy & they end their season vs the Bengals in Cincy. It may come down to Brady vs Flacco. Which qb will have the game winning drive!! The Ravens are a pt fave. I like the Pats to win a close game. I trust Brady before I trust Flacco. No Ray Lewis or Ed Reed to save his ass.

Randy:

Oakland vs San Diego- Another AFC West Battle here. The Raiders won the 1st match-up in Oakland & that was the game that they had the 8 pm start because the Athletics were in the MLB playoffs. The Chargers are coming off a road win in Denver & still have hopes for the postseason, but will need either the Ravens or Dolphins to falter down the stretch. For the Raiders, same old story. Another yr, another high draft pick & letting Jamal Charles go off on them was ugly. I know San Diego PD will be out in full force. The Chargers are 10 pt home faves. I like the Chargers by a td.

Randy:

Pittsburgh vs Green Bay- Suddenly, Matt Flynn has lead the Packers to 2 straight wins, including last week when the Cowboys laid the embarrassing choke job at home. We won’t know if Aaron Rodgers will play this game, but they are only a half game back of the Bears in the NFC North. And they were talking bout shutting down Rodgers. For the Steelers, they put the paws on the Bengals, but there won’t be no postseason for them & if they fire Tomlin, that sucks because they hardly ever fire coaches. Ever since I was born, the only Steeler coaches I know were Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher, & Mike Tomlin. The Packers are a td home fave. It’s the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field!! I like the Packers to win & cover.

Chicago vs Philadelphia- 2 divison leaders battling out in Philly on Sunday night on NBC. That game will get my attention because of 2 running backs: Lesean McCoy & Matt Forte. I remember saying two yrs ago in a debate who was the better running back outta them. I love both of them, but Shady’s more exciting. The Bears are coming off a great win over my Browns & Cutler made critics like think twice about ripping him for starting that game even though McKnown was hot the last 2 weeks. He redeemed himself after those 2 early ints & they weren’t his fault. For the Eagles, they are still wondering how the hell they lost to a Vikings team who didn’t have their 2 starting running backs. However, with the Cowboys meltdown, it eased the pain. Expect a lot from this game. The Eagles are a fg home fave. I like the Eagles to win so they can win the divison & hear the Cowboys fan bash on Romo all postseason.

Monday

Atlanta vs San Francisco- The final game ever at Candlestick Park. That’s the storyline here. The 49ers are starting to get in playoff mode after defeating the Bucs on the road. They can clinch a wild spot w/ a win or Cards loss. If there was a wild card team that could win it all, it’s them. Remember, they are the last team to beat the Seahawks in Seattle. I don’t know why that crowd affects them. For the Falcons, they won 2 straight & Tony Gonzalez makes his return to the Bay since he played his college ball at Cal. It’s fitting to play your last road game in the state you played college ball & the final game is at the Georgia Dome next week. The 49ers are 13 pt home faves. I like the 49ers to end Candlestick w/ a close win.

Last week, yours truly & Noez tied for top spot w/ 8-8 record while Randy rounded it out w/ a 7-9 finish. However in the overall standings, Randy’s increasing his lead w/ a 142-81 record w/ yours truly in 2nd w/ 134-89 while noez rounds it out w/ 129-92. Happy belated b-day shoutouts to Lydia Avila & Elido Avila. Happy b-days to Amanda Ramirez, Jeff Dowell, Nitanna Villasenor, Robbie Uyeno, Stacy Ciesa, Diego Abraham (make sure you follow him on Twitter), Monica Cruz, my high school buddy Tina Juarez (welcome to Facebook), Rosemary Prieto, Raquel Ann, Vanessa Alva, Moises Hurtado aka DJ Deck a Rec, Anthony Araya, my Skype Buddy Christy Love, Greg Torres, & Diana Campos. Good luck  to me in my fantasy title game. This is the 3rd time in 5 yrs I’ve reached this game & I’m hoping to win it this yr. I know next week’s X-mas, so I’m going wish everyone out there Happy Holidays & catch y’all on the next blog. Peace!!
