The future meets the past! Luck vs Manning. Can’t wait #ratings

Who’s enjoying this football season so far. I know I am. I’m loving the surprising teams like the 6-0 Chiefs, my 3-3 Browns (even though they’re some question marks at quarterback), & the winless 0-6 Giants.  Last week, we saw Adrian Peterson having to play w/ a heavy heart after the senseless death of his son, Nick Folks w/ a performance so great that Michael Vick may had lost his starting job, Houston Texans cheering when Matt Schaub got hurt, Andrew Luck losing on his Monday night debut & Tom Brady & the Pats proving that the game’s never over til 0:00’s on that clock. I wonder what we have for this week’s games. We won’t know til Thursday when the week starts.

Thursday

Seattle vs Arizona- NFC West battle starts the week off. The Seahawks are coming off a close win at home versus the Titana. They had to go through the game w/ their kicker injured & having a Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde approach of this tea. The Cardinals were manhandled by the 49ers in the Bay & Carson Palmer’s still an interception machine. It’s gonna be a defensive battle & the Cards may be pumped for this one since it’s under the lights & nationally televised.  The Hawks are 8.5 road faves. I like the Hawks by a touchdown.

Sunday

Tampa Bay vs Atlanta- The Falcons are coming off their bye week hoping to turn their season around after a 1-4 start. However, it’s gonna be tough now that Julio Jones done for the yr w/ a torn ACL & Roddy White might miss this game cuz of his ankle. The Bucs are still winless & I’m surprised Schiano still has a job. I hope the Freeman fiasco will be the demise of his firing. NFC South battle here. The Falcons are 8.5 home faves. I like Matty Ice & the crew to redeem themselves & start to get back to winning.

Chicago vs Washington- The Redskins looked bad versus the Cowboys last week & RG III played like a rookie w/ his head cut off. However, he had hs running game back again along w/ Alfred Morris & that will help along in the long run. For the Bears, defense, Jay Cutler playing a great game & Brandon Marshall finally getting reintroduced in the offense help them in their win over the Giants on Thursday. This is a big one for the Skins because if they lose this one, the fans will probably be calling for Kirk Cousins to relieve Griffin. The Redskins are a pt fave. I like the Bears to steal this one in D.C.

Dallas vs Philadelhia- Battle for 1st place in the NFC East w/ both teams 3-3 & coming off wins. The Eagles got a dominating performance from Nick Foles to defeat the Bucs & raising questions bout Michael Vick’s status as their starting quarterback. The Cowboys came off victorious versus the Redskins, but won’t have DeMarco Murrary nor Demarcus Ware for this game. Ware’s the big one for a month & their defensive line is getting thin by the minute. Game’s in Philly, so the crowd’s going be rowdy. The Eagles are 2.5 home faves. I love the Eagles by a td. Fly Eagles Fly (bark on that Letty Bear).

New England vs N.Y. Jets- The Pats proved last week the game’s never over til the fat lady sings & Brady eased up on his no name receivers after his body language showed his frustration when they dropped passes. The Jeta & Geno Smith showed that he’s still a rookie & will hit the wall from time to time in their loss to the Steelers. Round 2 of this battle & the 2nd week that Brady has to face a team coached by a Ryan brother. 1st time these teams met, it was on a Thursday night & the Pats won an ugly game in Foxborro w/ Brady having an ugly passing game. The Pats are 4 pt road faves. I like the Pats to win by a fg.

Buffalo vs Miami- The Dolphins are returning from their bye week & hoping to get back to their winning ways after starting off 3-0 & now losing 2 straight games. The Bills, w/ Thad Lewis, gave the Bengals all they can handled before losing in O.T. Bills added another qb to their carousel by signing Matt Flynn, who was released by the Raiders last week. The game’s in South Beach, so the Bills better treat this like a business trip & not a vacation. The Phins are 8.5 home faves. I like Miami by a td.

Randy:

San Diego vs Jacksonville- The Chargers ruined Andrew Luck’s Monday night debut w/ a win. Phillip Rivers outplayed him & redeemed himself from that dismal performance in Oakland the week before. The Jags , even though they were 28 pt underdogs to the Broncos, gave them all they can handled before losing by 14. Have nothing much to say bout this game. The Chargers are 9 pt road faves. The Bolts to win big.

Randy:

St. Louis vs Carolina- The Rams shocked everyone w/ their performance in H-Town last week. It was their defense that picked up the scoring slack while Bradford & the offense pretty much didn’t have to do jack. The Panthers got a great performance from Cam Newton (3 tds passes & a rushing td) in their win. Their defense was solid as well. This might have to come down to which qb makes the less mistakes. The Panthers are a pt home fave. I like the Panthers by a fg. Don’t let me down Cam.

Cincinnati vs Detroit- The Bengals needed overtime to defeat a Bills team who started a qb that was on their practice squad the week before. For the Lions, it was the Joseph Fauria show last week as he caught 3 passes & all of them were for tds as they defeated my Browns. Calvin Johnson was pretty much in decoy duty as he was recovering from his knee injury. It didn’t help that he had 3 dropped passes as well. Reggie Bush had a great all-purpose game as well. If Megatron was healty, this would had been a fantasy match-up of Johnson vs A.J. Green. The Lions are 2.5 home faves. I like the Lions to win this game by 10.

San Francisco vs Tennessee- The 49ers are finally starting to click & the running game is back. They won their 3rd straight game last week & Mario Mannigham may be back in practice this week . For the Titans, they gave the Seahawks a run, but they still lost & Chris Johnson struggled w/ the running game. At least they might get Jake Locklear back the following week. The 49ers are 4.5 road faves. I like the Niners by a td.

Houston vs Kansas City- Crazy week for the Texans. They lose the game, Schaub gets hurts & their fans cheered for that. In the words of Stephen A Smith, “that’s disrespectful”. I wonder who’s gonna start this game Schaub or T.J. Yates. Hell, even Vince Young went on Twitter & tried to plead to join the Texans as a qb. For the Chiefs, still undefeated , the defense sacking Terrelle Pryor 10 times, forcing 3 ints & the crowd decibel breaking a record, surpassing the Seahawks & Texas A&M. The Chiefs are 7.5 home faves. That defense is tough & I believe in them. The Chiefs by a td.

Noez:

Randy:

Baltimore vs Pittsburgh- The Ravens are coming off a home loss to the Packers. That was John Harbaugh’s 1st loss to a NFC team. The Steelers finally got a win last week vs the Jets. This is the best rivalry in the AFC north the last 10 yrs. Throw the records out & it’s always nasty. Round 1 in Heinz Field. The Steelers are a pt fave. I like the Ravens to steal this one & they have proven that they can win in Pittsburgh.

Randy;

Cleveland vs Green Bay- My Browns 3 game winning streak came to an end last week. It was promising & looked good in the 1st half. Then the 2nd half happened & the city’s favorite whipping boy Brandon Weeden made the dumbest play in a close game. Down by a td, driving to tie the game & he pulls a Brett Favre by throwing a shovel pass to avoid a sack. He was trying to throw it away & it resulted in his 2nd int of the game. The Packers are coming off their win in Baltimore, but lost Randall Cobb for 3 weeks after a leg injury & they don’t know bout the certainty of James Jones’ injury. It’s already bad that Clay Matthews already missing 3 more games because of an injury. The Packers are 11.5 home faves. I give my squad hope to steal an upset in Lambeau if Weeden doesn’t make any mistakes.

Randy:

Denver vs Indianapolis- Peyton Manning’s homecoming game here. His 1st time here as an opposing player. He spent the majority of his career here. 11 AFC South titles, but only 1 Super Bowl trophy. He was the version of Eddie Jones. Great numbers in the regular season, but disappeared in the postseason. However, 4 neck surgeries & the 2-13 record during his absence resulted in them getting the 1st pick & drafted Andrew Luck, meaning adieus to him. The Broncos are 6-0 while the Colts are coming off a miserable loss on Monday night vs the Chargers. The receivers dropped 8 passes from Luck & the Colts didn’t paly their game. It’s gonna be an emotional game. The Broncos are a td road fave. The prodigal son returns home. I got the Broncos.

Monday

Minnesota vs N.Y. Giants- Both teams need a win in the worse way & what a way for ESPN to end week 7 w/ a game of teams w/ a combined record of 1-9. The Giants coming off a loss to the Bears, Eli Manning already has 15 ints thrown & Hakeem Nicks blocking off trade rumors. Only bright spot for the Giants on Thursday was Brandon Jacobs rushing for over 100 yds. For the Vikings, they were manhandled by the Panthers at home, but Adrian Peterson gets a pass from us as he was playing w/ a heavy heart after the death of his son. I hope the attacker gets his ass whipped. Some people might not want to watch this game, but I will to see how Peterson does this game. The Giant are 3.5 home faves. At some point, they have to win a game. I think this is the one they will win.

Last week, Noez was the top dawg for the 2nd week in a row w/ a 11-4 showing. I came in 2nd w/ a 10-5 record while Randy rounded it out w/ a 9-6. In the overall standings for Mega 7981’s bonus, Randy has a slight lead w/ a 59-33 record. I’m creeping on him w/ a 57-35 record while Noez rounds it out w/ a 53-39 record. Happy b-day shoutouts to my libra buddy Erin Cardenas (see you on Friday), Wendy Plata Villa,  Vivian Herrera, Erik Rojas aka DJ Stuna, Tracey Poole (see you on Saturday), Melissa Gene, my step sister Ramona Grayson, Jennifer Docks (I’ll have your cd done this week), Richard Valle, Melanie Godinez, Maribel Sandoval, my deejay buddies Robert Change, Deejay Volotyl ( you & Dan-O turn up Vegas this weekend), & my girl Nichole Legard. To Nichole, we gotta do something soon, like a lunch date or something. Shoutouts to Screws (bring back your blog). C’mon Dodgers, let’s have a comeback in this LCS. Also to my fave girl to hang out w/ Sage  the sexy Brittany Brickner, I’ll have your b-day mix cd done sometime next week. Catch ya’ll on the next blog. Peace
