Week 4 preview

                                                           Is Jordan Cameron a Pro Bowler? In my book, yes he is

        So far in 3 weeks of the season, we have 7 teams undefeated, an ugly division in the NFC East, 6 teams that are still searching for their 1st win & Peyton Manning on pace to break Tom Brady’s single season record for td passes in a season. For last week, we saw the Browns overcome a tough week (still freak the front office) but came out w/ a win, the Giants as a surprising 0-3 team & what the hell’s wrong w/ the 49ers. We got few teams starting their bye weeks & one of those teams (Green Bay) really needed after losing players to injuries last week. Before I start my weekly preview, gotta get this off my chest. Jimmy Haslam & Joe Baner, you can kiss my ass. I understand business is business, but why trade someone after 2 seasons & the 3rd overall pick in last yr’s draft. Trent Richardson’s a workhorse, the defense is intact, the elephant in the room is the quarterback. That’s all I got to say. Let’s go!!

Thursday

San Francisco vs St. Louis- If anyone would had thought the 49ers would be coming into this game at 1-2, they must be outta their mind. They are having issues, only scoring 10 pts in the last 2 games, Kaepernick’s struggling & now they have to go a month w/out Aldon Smith after his recent arrest, resulting in him checking into rehab. For the Rams, they still can’t figure out how to stop DeMarco Murrary as he & the Cowboys destroyed them. Never count out a Jeff Fisher coach team though. The Niners are fg road faves. I like the Niners to win & cover.

Sunday:

Pittsburgh vs Minnesota- Battle of 0-3 teams in this match-up in London. For the Steelers, they looked bad at home vs the Bears as 6 turnovers will do that to you & some of the Steeler Nation are ready to panic. They’ll receive some positive news as Le’Veon Bell, the rookie running back who was hampered in the preseason by an injury, is set to make his return & Heath Miller, who came back last week & looked good. That’ll make Ben Roethesberger’s job much easy. For the Vikings, they played a tough game versus my Browns, but came out w/ a loss. Christian Ponder had a decent game, scoring 2 td runs, but was sacked 6 times. Someone has to win this game. Vikings are 1.5 faves. I like the Steelers to win this one because if it has to come down to Ponder leading a game winning drive, good luck.

Baltimore vs Buffalo- The Ravens must had regained their swagger after that performance vs the Texans. Bernard Pierce & the defense made it look good so that Joe Flacco’ job was easy. For the Bills, they were chasing rhe Jets, even though they tied it in the 4th. But the Jets Defense & Geno Smith was too much for them in the last 5 mins to get that win. If Manuel thought the Jets defense was crazy, good luck going against that Ravens’ defense. The champs are 3.5 road faves.  I like the Ravens to win & cover.

Cincinnati vs Cleveland- Battle of Ohio pt.1 & 2nd game versus an divisional opponent. The Browns had to answer questions bout themselves after the Trent Richardson trade & came out w/ an inspiring win w/ Brian Hoyer as the starting qb. It also helped that Josh Gordon’s return opened up the passing game & please, please vote Jordan Cameron in the Pro Bowl. Defense also showed up w/ 6 sacks. For the Bengals, it was a roller coaster vs the Packers. They jumped on them 14-0 in the 1st qtr, but the Packers forced 4 turnovers to give them a lead, then increased the lead to 11 before the Bengals defense stepped up & poor play-calling by the Packers led to their defeat. These games are always close & state bragging right as well. The Bengals are 4.5 road faves. For my Browns to win: protect Hoyer. The front line has been manhandled in the 2nd half & him as well as Weeden have been running w/ their head cut off. I like the Browns chance. Just get to Dalton & don’t let Green go H.A.M.

Chicago vs Detroit- Great match-up here in the NFC North. The Bears are undefeated & Jay Cutler’s not only playing for a new contract, but he’s showing heart as well. The defense forced 6 turnovers on the Steelers, but lost defensive tackle Henry Melton for the season after tearing his acl. That’s gonna be a big blow for them in my opinion. The Lions last week broke a slump as they defeated the Redskins for the 1st time ever. However, they won’t have Nate Burelson this week after he hurt his shoulder in a car accident. They better have Reggie Bush back to compliment Joie Bell this week. The Lions are 1.5 home faves. I like the Bears to win in this close battle.

Seattle vs Houston- The Seahawks had easy work on the Jags last week & we had a Tavaris Jackson sighting since the game was out of reach. For the Texans, it was lke the same old story for them. Whenever you think they got something going, they lost to better teams & the Ravens were in their way. It hurt for Ed Reed, who was making his Texans debut that game. Can they dust this loss off? The Seahawks are fg road faves. I don’t believe in the Texans & Arian Foster picked the wrong time last week to admitting to taking money at Tennesse. I like the Seahawks to win & take the over.

Indianapolis  vs Jacksonville- Look out America, the Colts are now a smash mouth team. After shocing the league by acquiring Trent Richardson in a trade, they go into San Francisco & pop the 49ers in the mouth. It looked Stanford style as Richardson & Ahmad Bradshaw pounded the rock. Don’t forget bout Andrew Luck & his naked bootleg. For the Jags, another loss & Blaine Gabbert got his starting job back. At least they scored more than 11 pts last game. The Colts are 14.5 road faves. I like the Colts & the over.

Randy:

N.Y. Giants vs Kansas City- The Chiefs are the surprising 3-0 team in the league so far. They went into Philly for Andy Reid’s return & defeated the Eagles. They slowed down Chip Kelly’s high paced offense & Alex Smith managed the game well. The Giants on the other hand has issues. 0-3, got punked in Carolina & still a lack of a running game. Don’t let Eli Manning have to carry this team. He needs help. The Chiefs are 4.5 home faves. I like the Chiefs in a close game.

Arizona vs Tampa Bay- Tampa’s searching for their 1st win this yr. They were mandhandled in New England last week & it looks like the clock’s ticking on Josh Freeman as starting qb for the time being. Arizona just got outplayed by the Saints last week. Too much Drew Brees. This will come down to which quarterback makes the less mistakes. The Bucs are 2.5 home faves. I like the Cardinals in a close match-up. I have faith in Carson Palmer than Freeman.

Noez:

Randy;

N.Y. Jets vs Tennesse- Both teams are 2-1 heading into this game. The Jets led Geno Smith defeated the Bills, despite having 19 penalties as a team. Control your team Rex!! The Titans needed a Chargers meltdown to defeat them. Jake Locklear actually showing poise & Chris Johnson running hard again. The Titans are 3.5 home faves. I got the Titans in a close game.

Randy:

Philadelphia vs Denver- The Broncos are the best team so far this season. Last night, they showed the Raiders that they aren’t in their league. Peyton Manning’s on a MVP pace & it was funny watching Moreno, Hillman, & Ball playing rock, paper, scissors to see who gets that rushing td. The Eagles defense looked impressive vs the Chiefs, but they made costly turnovers & they lost. I’m saying this once & I’m not going to say it again, protect Michael Vick. He won’t make it through the season w/ the shots he’s taking. That defense will need their track shoes this game. The Broncos are 12 pt home faves. I like the Broncos to continue their winning ways.

Noez:

Randy:

Washington vs Oakland – Both teams have questions to answer heading into this game. The Redskins are 0-3 after losing to Detroit & people are talking bout benching RG III & going w/ Kirk Cousins this game. He had a better game this week, but made a costly turnover by fumbling when he did the right thing by sliding to avoid being hit. The Raiders were embarrassed by the Broncos & Terelle Pryor ended up getting a concussion, meaning that Matt Flynn may get the start this week. The Skins have a bye week after this, so they need something positive this week. The Raiders are a fg home fave. I like the Skins to break their snide this game.

Dallas vs San Diego- The Cowboys are coming off a balanced win over the Rams & they were committed to the run w/ Demarco Murrary having another breakout game. The Chargers found another to blow a game & that final play of the game was almost perfected right til Phillip Rivers kicked the ball, resulting in a penalty.  Expect a lot of Cowboys fan to make a lot of noise at Qualcomn (shoutout to Alex Reyes aka Campaign Life). Questions for this game, will the Cowboys still be committed to the run & if the Chargers can stop blowing games that they usually lead til the end. The Cowboys are a pt road fave.  I like the Cowboys by a fg (I hope this puts a smile on your face Letty Bear).

New England vs Atlanta- The Pats are coming off a win over the Bucs & Brady didn’t have to yell at his receivers because they actually caught the ball while the Falcons are getting banged up by the minute & losing a close game in Miami has them at 1-2. It has a great qb match-up between Tom Brady & Matt Ryan. Whoever has them on their fantasy team, expect a lot of pts. The Falcons are 1 pt faves. I like the Dirty Birds because Matty Ice hardly ever loses at the Georgia Dome.

Miami vs New Orleans- Battle of 3-0 teams to end the week & great game for ESPN. The Dolphins are surprising people & Tannehill has gotten my attention. That last minute drive to beat the Falcolns was Marino like. Hartline was key as usual & let’s hope Mike Wallace doesn’t go T.O. & complain whenever he doesn’t get the ball. The Saints got their swagger back & it’s because of the return of Sean Payton. Brees had a great game vs the Cardinals last week. It’s a true test to see if the Dolphins are for real or if their 15 mins of fame will blow up in their face. Saints are touchdown home faves. I like them to win & cover.

         Last week, yours truly & Randy were tied for the top spot w/ a 10-6 record while Noez brought up the rear w/ a 5-11 record. However in the overall record for Mega 7981’s bonus, randy’s up w/ a 33-15 record, I’m in 2nd w/ a 29-19 while Noez has the .500 record at 24-24.  Happy b-day shoutouts to Kane Guevara, my boy & one of the truest Clippers fan I know Bobby Bell, my cousin Omar Rushdan, Manny Limon, my girl Gina Rival, Isamel Chino Franco, Monique Garcia, John Lanza, Melody Miranda (have fun at the Depeche Mode honey), Monie Patino (probably see you on Saturday night), Christoher Polanco, Lydia Ocampo & last ,but not least, me!! I hit 37 & doing this health kick has been the best thing for me. I’ll be deejaying the next 3 days, so I must be doing something right. I got thank the people who’s been w/ me this whole yr: my deejay family (D-Side, Rock 1, & Plan B), the Luxury Soul family (Sean Q & Michelle), So Much Soul, my Sage family (Josh, Charles, Burt, Tony, Ray, Selana, & Brittany), the Havana House crew (Brandon, Melissa, Taylor, Mike, & even though these aren’t their anymore, still got love for them Lynette & Flo), Mega 7981, Screws (we miss Screws U) & of course, Noez & Randy for competing w/ me in the pick’ems. Too many names, but I love you all. See you on the next blog as a 37 yr old. Peace!!

Too much Drew Brees. This will come down to which quarterback makes the less mistakes. The Bucs are 2.5 home faves. I like the Cardinals in a close match-up. I have faith in Carson Palmer than Freeman.

Randy;
