Suddenly folks, we’re almost @ the halfway point of the NBA playoffs. We already have 2 teams who punched their tickets to the conference finals. One is a 1st timer while the other time has been here before. Matter, they had a 2-0 series heading into unchartered territory & ended up losing 4 straight. They don’t want to do that again. Before I start, I would like to thank everyone who donated to the #donateformarcus campaign. I’m loving my macbook.

Western Conference Fianls

2) San Antonio vs 5) Memphis- For the 1st time in their franchise history, the Grizzlies have advanced to the conference finals. They had to go 6 games to knock out the Clippers in the 1st round & in the 2nd round, they had a hard fought 5 game series w/ the OKC Thunder. It hurt that the Thunder had lost Russell Westbrook in the 1st round to an injury. Kevin Durant pretty much had to carry that team & that load was very heavy. For the Spurs, after sweeping the depleted & injured Lakers, they had to go 6 games w/ a young & exciting Warriors team (props to “cousin” Steph Curry & y’all going be back next yr). I know David Stern & the ratiings are thinking it’s going to be a snoozefest, but it’s has a heavyweight fight appeal. The Grizz w/ their size (Z-Bo & Gasol), wing defenders (Prince & Tony Allen) & my boy Mike Conley repping that Ohio St can match-up w/ Parker, Duncan, & Ginobli. Plus, who remembers the last time they met in the postseason? I do. It was 3 yrs ago & Memphis was an 8th seed & knocked the top seed Spurs out in 5 games. I like the Grizz in this series, but it’ll take them 6 games to knock them out.

That’s my time for this blog. I apologize for not previewing the semifinals as the labtop situation was taking up my time. Happy b-day shoutouts to Karina Manzo Ousley, Elaine Villa, Hector Ramirez, & Elaina Soto. Go Kings go, bring another cup back to L.A. Shoutout to the homie Screws (good luck w/ your Knicks & Rangers & we need another Screws U blog). Also, welcome back to the states Leticia Robinson. Til then, I’m out. Peace!!
