How did everyone enjoyed the wild card weekend? Interesting storylines were made after the games & the fans were scratching their heads . Last week, we saw the Packers get revenge on the Vikes, despite them not know til 30 mins before game time that Ponder wasn’t starting, Ray Lewis’ emotional impact leading the Ravens to victory & Seattle going into DC & defeating the Redskins, not knowing that RG3 suffered a torn ACL injury & he had surgery early this morning (get well soon homie). We have 3 rematches this weekend. Let’s break them down shall we!!

Saturday

Baltimore vs Denver- Last week, we saw Ray Lewis’ emotional return & he made a major impact last week w/ 13 tackles in their win over the Colts. Joe Flacco played a major part as well & Ray Rice played a part, despite having 2 fumbles. They are facing a Broncos’ team who are on a roll w/ a 11 game winning streak. These teams played earlier this season & the Broncos put boots to asses to the Ravens in Baltimore. I wonder if the Ravens hope they will have momentum w/ them going into Invesco Field. The Broncos are 10 pt home faves. I like the Broncos to win, but under the spread. Ray Lewis’ career ends in Denver.

Green Bay vs San Francisco- The Packers will look to extract revenge on the 49ers for the week 1 loss they gave them this yr. This game could had been in Lambeau Field again had the Packers soiled up the 2nd seed. The Packers are coming off an impressive win over the Vikings & they held Adrian Peterson under 100 yds rushing that game. The Niners are rested & they needed it because Justin Smith was banged up the final 2 weeks of the season. When the Niners faced them the 1st time, Alex Smith was the starting qb. Now, it’s Colin Kaepernick’s time to shine & also his playoff debut. Let’s see what kind of magic he has. The 49ers are 2.5 pt home faves. I like the 49ers by a fg.

Sunday

Seattle vs Atlanta- Those Seahawks are sneaky. They went into DC & their defense slowed down a one legged RG3 & the Redskins. Marshawn Lynch picked the right time to go beast mode in the 4th qtr. Russell Wilson is proving the skeptics that he deserves to be in the race for rookie of the yr. For the Falcons, they get to host a playoff game, but will it be different this time. Last time they had homefield advantage, Green Bay whipped them & Matty Ice still hasn’t won a playoff game yet. They have the weapons, but Seattle has a defense & it may be shaky now that Chris Clemons is out w/ an injury . The Falcons are a pt home fave. I like the Falcons in a close game. I just want them to shut up Richard Sherman.

Houston vs New England- These two teams end the divisional round weekend. Another rematch. Last time they faced each other, the Pats gave them the business on Monday night football. The Texans & Arian Foster came out impressive in their win over the Bengals last week. The Pats are well rested & that means trouble for most teams when they faced them. Gronk’s fully healed & the double tight end will be in effect. Let’s hope it doesn’t turn out like the MNF affair. The Pats are 9.5 home faves. I like the Pats to win & cover the spread.

Last week, Randy was the only one who got all 4 games right while yours truly & Noez went 3-1. I hope we have a different outcome this week. Happy b-day shoutouts to Michael Varciag, David Enzo, Aaron Ramos, Yvette Garcia, Nancy Bolanos, my nephew Jeremiah Grayson, Erin Ferrer, Antoinette Diaz, Jayo Bossluv, Milinda Foley, & last but not least, happy 34th to my bro Terrance Brewster. We love you & still miss you. Rest in Peace. C’mon Lakers. Snap out of this funk. Congrats to the Tide for going back to back in the BCS & I’ll catch y’all next blog when we preview the conference title games. Peace!!!
