the battle for the NFC East crown!! Can RG III snatch it up or will Romo have magic to stop the December love/hate?

It’s here. The final week of the 2012/2013 NFL regular season. We already have 11 of the 12 teams qualified w/ one more spot & a division title to be clinched. Last week, we saw Megatron make history in a loss, the Vikings shocking the Texans in their place, Broncos still streaking, Giants still struggling, & the Seahawks sending a statement to the 49ers @ the Link. I wonder how week 17 will play out. Let’s break it down shall we.

Sunday

Tampa Bay vs Atlanta- The Falcons have already clinched homefield throughout the NFC postseason & Matty Ice was on fire in the D last week. The Bucs are just playing to finish out strong. I can see the Falcons going preseason mode & resting players like Ryan, Turner, White, Jones, & Gonzalez. There’s no line here. I see the Bucs winning because the Falcons will be resting players

Randy:

NY Jets vs Buffalo- Both teams are playing for pride. For the Jets, the only thing that matters for this game is who’ll be the starting quarterback next season. Tebow’s rumored to be gone & they are looking to shop Sanchez. Is McElroy the answer. For the Bills, they’re looking to finish out the cellar in the AFC East. The Bills are 3.5 home faves. I like the Bills to win & cover the spread. Love my Havana gf, but Sanchez cost her favorite team the postseason.

Noez:

Randy:

Baltimore vs Cincinnati- Round 2 of this AFC North battle. Both teams are already in the postseason & I wonder who needs the game more. The Ravens are coming off scoring 34 pts on the Giants. They activated Ray Lewis, but he won’t play til the playoffs start. The Bengals are coming off knocking out the Steelers from postseason implications. The Bengals are a pt home fave. I like the Ravens & the over.

Noez:

Randy:

Chicago vs Detroit- For the Bears, they win & Minnesota loses, they clinch the final wild card spot in the NFC. They were probably glad the Cardinals were their opponent last week because they were on Lovie’s ass the last couple of weeks, For the Lions, the only reason to see this game is Calvin Johnson’s 58 yds away from a 2,000 yd receiving season. The Bears are a fg road fave. I like the Bears by a td.

Noez:

Randy: Chicago

Houston vs Indianapolis- Round 2 of this AFC South battle. The Texans won the 1st match-up & clinch the division that game. Both teams are in the playoffs, however the Texans haven’t clinched homefield throughout yet. For the Colts, they got a good xmas gift w/ the return of Coach Pagano & he’ll be on the sideline this week. The Texans are a td road fave. I like the Texans to win & cover.

Noez:

Randy: Houston

Carolina vs New Orleans- Round 2 of this match-up. The Panthers won the 1st match-up in Carolina & both teams are looking to finish strong heading into next season. For the Panthers, Cam’s finding his groove & they are suddenly looking good. As for the Saints, “Bounty Gate” was their demise this yr. Starting 0-4 doesn’t get you in the playoffs. The Saints are 5 pt home faves. I like the Saints by 10.

Noez:

Randy: New Orleans

Philadelphia vs NY Giants- The Giants need to wake up or they’ll miss the postseason all together. They are 2-5 in their last 7 games & were embarrassed by the Ravens last week. For the Eagles, it’s the end of the Andy Reid/Michael Vick era. Both aren’t expected back after the season, but Vick gets to play this week because Foles got hurt. The Giants need help to make the postseason. G-Men are td home faves. I like the G-Men straight up.

Noez:

Randy: NY Giants

Cleveland vs Pittsburgh- Both teams have no playoff implications & are coming off losses. For the Browns, they are looking to finish w/ a decent 6-10 record. Despite getting blown out by the Broncos last week, they were competitive the last 5 games. They beat the Steelers the 1st time in C-Town, by causing 8 Steelers turnovers. For the Steelers, this was a dismal yr for them & the last 2 losses to Dallas & Cincy hurt them for the postseason. No line for this game. You already know who I’m riding with. Sweeping the Wack & Yellow will make my yr.

Noez:

Randy: Pittsburgh

Jacksonville vs Tennessee- Another meaningless game here. For the Jags, it may mean whether they pick 1 or 2 in next yr’s draft. For the Titans, better draft positioning here. The Titans are 4 pt home faves. I like the Titans & the over.

Noez:

Randy:

Kansas City vs Denver- The Broncos are on fire!! Winners of 10 straight, clinched their division & a 1st round bye, however they can steal the top seed w/a win & a Texans loss. For the Chiefs, like the Jags, it could be either they pick 1 or 2 in the draft. I wonder if Fox will go preseason mode & rest Manning & the starters after couple of series. The Broncos are 16 pt home faves. I like the Broncos to win & take the under.

Noez:

Randy: Denver

Green Bay vs Minnesota- Round 2 of this NFC North battle. The Vikings control their destiny for the wild card. All they have to do is win & they are in. Plus, the fact Adrian Peterson’s 208 yds away from breaking Eric Dickerson’s single season rushing record. The Packers can clinch a 1st round bye w/ a win. Both teams need this game. The Packers are a Mason Crosby fg road fave.. I’ll take the Packers, but Peterson’s gonna break the record.

Noez:

Randy:

Miami vs New England- The Patroits are looking to move up in the playoff seeding. They may have good news because Gronk’s upgrade to day to day, meaning he might play. If I was Belechick, rest him, For the Dolphins, they are looking to finish the season strong. At least they won’t finish in last place in the AFC East. The Pats are 10 pt home faves. I like the Pats, but take the under since they couldn’t cove the spread last week in Jacksonville.

Noez:

Randy: New England

Oakland vs San Diego- Meaningless game here. For the Chargers, it’s the final home game of the Norv Turner era since he won’t be back next yr. For the Raiders, same oh same. There’s always next yr. No line for this game. I like the Chargers to send Norv out on top.

Noez:

Randy: San Diego

St Louis vs Seattle- NFC West battle here. The Seahawks are already in the postseason, but they can still win the divison should the 49ers falter. They are also looking to finish 8-0 @ home this yr. Rams won the 1st match-up this yr in the Lou. The Rams are looking to finish strong & w/ a winning record. Fisher’s done a good job & changed the culture in St Louis. The Seahawks are 10 pt home faves. I like the Seahawks & the over.

Noez:

Randy: Seattle

Arizona vs San Francisco- The 49ers are looking to redeem themselves after that beatdown they received in Seattle. The loss hurt them because the Packers moved up to the 2nd spot. The 49ers can clinch the division w/ a win & the 2nd seed w/ a win & a Packers’ loss. For the Cards, just play for pride. The 49ers are 16.5 home faves. I like the 49ers & the over.

Noez:

Randy: San Francisco

Dallas vs Washington- Great game for NBC to end their Sunday night with. Both teams could win the division w/ a win. Last time they met, RG III carved the Cowboys secondary on Thanksgiving day. The Redskins have won 6 straight games. It don’t matter if Griffin or Kurt Cousins behind center, they’ll get the job done. The Cowboys only way to make the playoffs is to win this game. I’m surprised Romo hasn’t had a December meltdown yet. The Redskins are a fg home fave. I want to see RG III in the postseason. I got the Redskins & the cover (sorry Letty baby)

Noez

Randy: Washington

Last week, I was the top dog w/ a 13-3 record, Randy was 2nd w/ 12-4 while Noez finished w/ a 10-6 record. Let’s see who’s run the show after this week. Happy b-day shoutouts to Jennifer Fernandez (smooches Tiger), Karen La Mere, my girl Jasmine Serrano, Xocthil Huerta, Ricky Rodriguez, my cousin Veronica Clarskon, Michelle Amy Carlos, Shea Snow, Mike Gill, Monica Silva (got you Monitone), & AC Carter. Shout out to the homie Screws (I’m still keeping up on Screws U), Leticia Robinson, & my boy Jawz of Def who’ll be moving back to NY soon. I’ll catch y’all during wild card weekend & have a safe & prosperous New Year’s eve!! Peace
