Can Matty Ice hold Eli in the Geogia Dome this weekend?

We got 2 more weeks til the season ends & some positions aren’t filled up yet. Last week, we saw both top seeds (Atlanta & Houston) lost games, the Texans game was worse because it was the 2nd time they wet the bed in a national primetime performance. We also say Kurt Cousins filling in for an injured RG III & lead the Redskins to an overtime win & my Browns being the only AFC North team to win that weekend. I wonder what we have for this week. Let’s break it down.

Thursday

Cincinnati vs Philadelphia- The Bengals ran into an emotional Cowboys team & blew their game at the buzzer. They could had gain ground on the Steelers who lost that day for the wild card spot. The Eagles are coming off a great win in Tampa, but it can’t compare to the rest of the season they are having. Pretty much, they are playing out the string & seeing if Nick Foles the guy since Vick’s time is apparently over. The Bengals are 4.5 road faves. I like the Bengals by a fg.

Sunday

Denver vs Baltimore- This game is very important for both teams. For the Broncos, they already got the division wrapped up, but they are competing w/ the Ravens & Pats for the 2nd seed in the AFC. Last week, they continued their winning ways vs the Raiders while the Ravens had a dogfight in the battle of the Beltway & eventually lost in ot to the Skins. I think this was the game they thought Ray Lewis will make his return. The Ravens will go as far as Joe Flacco will take them. The Broncos are 2.5 road faves. I like the Broncos by a fg as well.

Randy:

Washington vs Cleveland- Don’t trip, but this game has excitement written all over. My Brownies are on a 3 game winning streak & they are @ 5-8 while the Redskins are hot as well & in a dogfight for the NFC East title w/ the Giants & Cowboys. Both teams are coming off wins (Browns over Chiefs while the Redskins edged out an ot win over the Ravens despite RG III leaving the game w/ a leg injury. He says he’ll be ready to play. Browns’ fan are anxious for this one because we could had RG III in the draft hadn’t the Rams traded down their pick to Washington. It’s all good because Trent Richardson has proven great divendeds. The Redskins are a pt road fave. I like my Browns by a Dawson fg.

Randy:

Tampa Bay Vs New Orleans- It looks like good things are coming too late for the Saints. Tagligbue dropping the players suspension & now Payton may be reinstated, the Saints should be in thewild card race. Too much distractions hurt this team all yr. They are coming off a blowout loss to the Giants. For the Bucs, a tough home loss to Philly probably hurt their chances for a wild card spot. The Saints are 3.5 home faves. I like the Saints by a td.

Randy:

NY Giants vs Atlanta- The Falcons face another challenge in the G-Man this week. Last time these teams met, it was in the playoffs & the Falcons only scored 2 pts in their loss to them. The Falcons are coming off a 10 pt loss to Carolina & they still haven’t clinched homefield yet. The champs put up 59 points in their win over the Saints last week. Both teams need this win. The Falcons are a pt home fave. I pick the Falcons & that spread, but watch out if it’s close & Eli’s in a 2 min drill.

Randy:

Minnesota vs St Louis- The Vikings are still in the race for the wild card as the Rams. Both teams are coming off wins. The Vikes did their thang on da Bears as Adrian Peterson lead the way (he should be up in the conversation for league MVP) while the Rams had to sneak out a close one in Buffalo. It may have to come down to quarterback play in this game. Bradford is more better than Ponder, but Peterson’s been carrying that team. The Rams are 1.5 home faves. I like Purple Jesus & the Vikes by 4.

Randy:

Green Bay vs Chicago- Round two of this nastiest rivalry. The Pack won round 1 in Lambeau Field & that was the game that Cutler shoved Webb. The Pack are coming off a great win over the Lions while the Bears were dominated by Adrian Peterson & the Vikes. It’s bad enough for the Bears that Lovie Smith’s on the hot seat. It’s not his fault the offensive line can’t keep Cutler protected or Jason Campbell in the 49ers game. Fire the o-line coach. The Packers are a fg road fave. I like the Packers by a td because if it comes down to a long fg, Mason Crosby is struggling.

Noez:

Randy:

Jacksonville vs Miami- Battle of Florida here. Both teams are coming off losses (Jags to the Jets & Dolphins to the 49ers). Nothing to say much bout this game. It’s for pride in the state. The Dolphins are a td home fave. I like that spread. I take the Dolphins here.

Noez:

Randy:

Indianapolis vs Houston- The Texans are looking to redeem themselves after that beatdown they received by the Patroits in Beantown. The Colts had another Andrew Luck comeback win vs the Titans. The Texans need this win because they haven’t clinched their own division & homefield yet. The Colts have them this week & regular season finale. So anything can happen in the AFC South. The Texans are 9.5 home faves. I like the Texans, but that’s too hide of a spread.

Noez:

Randy:

Carolina vs San Diego- The Panthers backed up their smack talk & defeated the Falcons in their house. Too much Cam Newton for those Falcons. If he could only do that all season. The Chargers surprised people & put a beatdown to the Steelers in their own house. Both teams playing for pride & I think Norv’s looking to go out in style these final 3 weeks. The Chargers are 3 pt home faves. I take the Chargers & this spread

Noez:

Randy:

Detroit vs Arizona- Another prideful game here. Both teams are coming off losses, the Cards had an embarrassing one (58-0 to the Seahawks). The Lions at least gave the Packers some competition before they succumbed. I would had said the only reason to watch this game is because Megatron vs Larry Fitzgerald. However, Skelton’s not in the same league as Stafford & Kolb’s done for the yr for the Cards. The Lions are 6 pt faves. I like the Lions & the over.

Noez:

Randy:

Seattle vs Buffalo- I feel bad for anyone who’s playing the Seahwaks these final 2 weeks. Pete Carroll didn’t care that he ran up the score on the Cards 58-0. They’re still in the race for the wild card. For the Bills, just playing out the season. The Seahawks are 5.5 road faves. I like the Seahawks and the over.

Noez:

Randy:

Kansas City vs Oakland- AFC west bottom feeder here. Both teams are coming off losses (Chiefs to my Browns while the Raiders fell to the Broncos). Whoever losses this game probably will clinch last place in their divison & probably draft position. The Raiders are field goal home faves. I like the Raiders by least a td.

Noez:

Randy:

Pittsburgh vs Dallas- The teams w/ 11 combined super bowl trophies meet up in Jerry’s house this week. The Cowboys are coming off emotions from losing a practice player to a dui accident & defeated the Bengals in Cincy. The Steelers were popped in the mouth in their own house by the Chargers. Both teams have playoff hopes, but time isn’t the essence for them. The Steelers are a pt road fave. I hate both teams, but I’ll take the Steelers by a fg because it’s still December & Tony Romo don’t get a long w/ this month (sorry Letty Bear).

Noez:

Randy:

San Francisco vs New England- Could this be a super bowl preview. Both teams are coming off wins, but the Pats just put boots to asses to theTexans last week. The 49ers had a close win vs the Dolphins at home. Kaepernick is starting this game, but I hope Harbaugh could just nip this contoversey in the butt. Who do you think they could win with as quarterback, Kaepernick or Alex Smith? Can the 49ers defense slow down Brady? They already did on the road vs Rodgers & Brees. I think they can. The Pats are 5 pt home faves. I like the 49ers by least a fg here.

Randy:

Monday

NY Jets vs Tennessee- The Jets are still in the wild card race despite the struggles of Mark Sanchez. Last week, “ground & pound” returned in their win over the Titans. Also, they get to reunite w/ an old friend as Braylon Edwards returns to the fold. For the Titans, another loss & they’re just playing out the season. Titans are 1 pt home faves. I like the Jets by a fg since Braylon’s back to catch balls for Sanchez.

Last week, yours truly & Randy were tied w/ a 10-6 record while Noez finished off w/ a 9-7 record. Plus my thoughts on the Marquez/Pacaquio fight: Damn!!! I guess Floyd doesn’t need to make that super fight happen now. Happy b-day shoutouts to Dylan Starr, my boy Omni Chang, Christina Henshall, Edwin Cano, Kari Flores, Lydia Avila, & Eldio Avila. Good luck to my fantasy football, who’s the 2nd seed & what up to my peeps Screws (make you check Screws U) & Leticia Robinson (be safe out there). Catch ya’ll on the next blog. Peace!!
