sorry Obama, but RG III runs DC!!

sorry Obama, but RG III runs DC!!

What an amazing, but emotional week for the NFL last week. We saw another Andrew Luck comeback win for the Colts, “Legatron” & his feet leading the Rams over the 49ers as 3 of the 4 NFC divisional leaders (Atlanta was the only exception) lost that week, the Broncos clinching the AFC West & are in a 3 way tie w/ Baltimore & New England for the 2nd spot in the AFC, & RG III’s magical Monday night as the Skins beat the champs & thus making the NFC East a dogfight for the title. We had the emotional side w/ the tragedies in Kansas City & my hometown of Cleveland. In the hometown, a Browns employee commited suicide by hanging himself in the team faculty’s office, however the Kansas City situation took the cake. Jovan Belcher, 4th yr linebacker for the Chiefs kills his girlfriend early Saturday morning after an argument. When he arrives @ the team’s facility, he goes to coach Romeo Crennel, gm Scott Pioli & thanks them for what they’ve done for him. That’s when he took his own life. In my opinion, he had something to hide & that’s why he did it. I have no comment for this because you know how I feel bout guns. Let’s talk bout week 15 games.

Denver vs Oakland- The Broncos already clinched the divison, but they still have hope for the 2nd spot in the AFC. The Raiders are just playing out the string of the season. Broncos won the 1st match-up of the season in Denver & I think Peyton wants them to have momentum heading into the postseason. Broncos are 10.5 road faves. I say take the Broncos & the over.

Randy: Denver

St Louis vs Buffalo- The Rams must have the 49ers’ number this yr after they went into overtime again this yr. This time, we had a winner as Legatron went deep from 53 yrds to defeat them. The Bills are coming off a win vs the Jags. The Rams still have slim hopes for the postseason, but need help. Same w/ the Bills. The Bills are 3 pt home faves. I like the Rams by a fg

Randy: St Louis

Atlanta vs Carolina- The Falcons defense showed up on Thursday as they caused 5 Drew Brees ints in their win over the Saints. That was a statement win for them. The Panthers just ran into an emotional Chiefs team who had to deal w/ a tough Saturday. The Falcons just need a win & couple teams to lose to clinch homefield advantage throughout. The Panthers are playing spoiler the rest of the way. The Falcons are 3.5 road faves. I like the Falcons by a td.

Randy: Atlanta

Dallas vs Cincinnati- Both teams are coming off wins. The Bengals had to stop a late Chargers rally to secure a win while the Cowboys won easily vs the Eagles, even the score was too close. The Cowboys still have hope to win the NFC East since it’s in a dog jam w/ the Giants & Redskins while the Bengals are still in the hunt for the wild card. Remember, this is December & Romo’s win loss record is not that good this month. The Bengals are fg home faves. I like the Bengals to win & cover the spread (sorry Letty).

Randy: Cincy

Kansas City vs Cleveland- Both teams are coming off wins. The Chiefs were riding off the emotion of the Belcher situation & defeated the Colts. My Browns went into Oakland & defeated the Raiders. I can’t believe they aren’t eliminated from the postseason race even though they are 4-8. I’ll be shocked if they win all out & finish @ .500. The Browns are 6.5 home faves. I love my Browns to win by a td.

Randy: Cleveland

Tennessee vs Indianapolis- Another Andrew Luck miracle win finished off the Lions last week & if that wasn’t good enough, Coach Pagano just finished just finished his 1st round of chemo for leukima. Chuck Strong is moving strong for this team. As for the Titans, still in the hunt despite being 4-8. The Colts are 5.5 home faves. I like the Colts & the slight over

Randy: Indianapolis

NY Jets vs Jacksonville- The Jets won an ugly game last week when Greg McElroy relieved an ineffective Mark Sanchez who was stinking up Met Life Stadium w/ 3 ints. The only reason McElroy got his shot was because Tebow was inactive w/ broken ribs. However, they are playing his hometown Jags & Ryan still has Sanchez starting. This probably be the only sellout the Jags have all this season. They’re just playing for pride. Expect a lot of playing time for Tebow package if he plays. The Jets are 2.5 road faves. I see the Jets sneaking out of Jacksonville because of Tebow magic.

Randy: Jacksonville

Chicago vs Minnesota- Another NFC North battle here. Bears won round one in Soldier Field. Both teams are coming off losses. The Bears lost in overtime @ home vs Seattle & lost Urlacher for the season beacause of a hamstring while the Vikes lost to Green Bay despite Adrian Peterson rushing for 210 yds!! Bears are in a dog fight w/ the Packers for the division title & each game is important to them while the Vikes still have wild card hopes as well. The Bears are fg road faves. I like the Vikings by a fg because Peterson always goes ape shit on the Bears & no Urlacher makes Briggs & the boys vulnerable.

Randy: Chicago

San Diego vs Pittsburgh- The Steelers went into Baltimore last week w/ Batch as their starter & defeated the Ravens to even the head to head series. Now, Roethesberger may be healthy to play this game & they need him if they want to sniff the playoffs. The Chargers suffered a home loss & the countdown to Norv Turner’s exile is down to 4 games & it may include Phillip Rivers as the Chargers fans got into him by booing him. The Steelers are td home faves. I like the Steelers by 10.

Randy: Pittsburgh

Philadelphia vs Tampa Bay- The Eagles play hard, but still lost in Dallas. However, they may seen their future w/ Nick Foles & added another running back to go w/ Lesean McCoy in Bryce Brown. All he needs to do is protect the ball because he has fumbling problems. W/ Foles starting the rest of the season, that means the era of Michael Vick is over as well as Andy Reid. For the Bucs, they suffered a road loss in Denver, but still are in the hunt for the wild card. The Bucs are 7.5 home faves. I take the Bucs by a td.

Randy: TB

Baltimore vs Washington- The Battle of the Beltway!! Football is popular in that area just like it was during the playoff run for the Nationals & Orioles during MLB season. The Ravens had the Steelers sneak into their house & take a win from them while RG III & the Redskins fed off Giant mistakes to defeat them on Monday night. Who’s more popular in DC, RG III or Obama? We got to know. The Redskins still have a shot for the postseason & the Ravens are fighting off the Broncos & Pats for the 2nd seed in the AFC. Good news for the Ravens as Ray Lewis returned to practice for them after tearing his biceps 7 weeks ago. The Skins are fg home faves. I know RG III only has 4 ints, but the Ravens defense is deadly. I like the Ravens by that fg.

Randy: Washington

Miami vs San Francisco- The 49ers had trouble w/ the Rams again as they went into ot, but this tme they lose. Kaepernick made some rookie mistakes, but Harbaugh still has faith in him as he named him starter for this week’s game. For the Dolphins, they lost a close home game vs the Pats, but still have a shot for the postseason at 5-7. The 49ers are fighting off 3 teams for that no 2 seed in the NFC & they want it. They are 10 pt home faves. I like them to win by a td. I hope they don’t play this as a trap game as they got the Pats in New England the following week.

Randy: San Francisco

New Orleans vs NY Giants- Both teams are coming off ugly losses. The Saints had 5 Drew Brees ints & his consective game streak of td passes ended in their loss to Atlanta while the Giants had penalties & couldn’t capitalize in the red zone in their loss to the Redskins. Coughlin says the Giants have to win out in order to make the postseason as they are shaking off the Redskins & Cowboys for the division while the Saints are still hoping for the wild card spot yet they are 5-7 & need help. The G-Man are 4.5 home faves. Expect a lot of points & yds from both Brees & Eli. I believe in Eli & the G-Man w/ a fg win.

Randy: NY Giants

Arizona vs Seattle- Seattle went into Chi-town & left the city w/ a win while the Cards lost that ugly game to the Jets despite causing 3 Mark Sanchez ints. They are back w/ Skelton at qb. That qb situation has been a problem since Kurt Warner retired. I guess Kolb isn’t the answer as well. The Seahawks still have hope for the wild card while the Cards are just playing for pride. Seahawks are 10 pt home faves. I like the Seahawks & the over.

Randy: Seattle

Detroit vs Green Bay- The Packers are coming off a win vs the Vikings despite giving up 210 yds rushing to Adrian Peterson. They also went back into time by resigning Ryan Grant to replace Cedric Benson, who suffered a season ending injury. The Lions had the jaws of victory snatched from them by Andrew Luck & the Colts on the last play of the game. Packers are tied w/ the Bears for the NFC North, but own the tiebreaker because of head-to-head. Lions have no chance. The Packers are a td home fave. I like the Packers to win this one by that same spread.

Randy: Green Bay

Houston vs New England- Some have called this an AFC title game preview. The Texans have the best record, but the Pats are clicking at the right time. Both teams are coming off wins (The Texan over the Titans while the Pats came out of South Beach w/ a close win over the Dolphins). It may have to come down to defense & who’s running game is better. The Texans are a balanced team while the Pats pretty much rely on Brady. The Pats are 3.5 home faves. I like the Texans to come out of New England w/ a win.

Randy: Houston

Last week, the Noez was felt as he was the top dawg w/ a 12-4 record while yours truly & Randy were tied w/ a 11-5 record. Let’s see if he can carry the momentum. Happy belated b-day shoutout to Tanya Ramos & happy b-day shoutouts to Jamie Duchesneau, Emily Yasutomi, Estee Guiterrez, Noe Macias, Manuel Fierros, my cousin Garnetta Taylor, Jonathan Holguin, Rosie Godinez, Valerie Soto, Jeremiah Marks, Marissa Avendano, Veronica Hernandez, Louise Vasich, Catherine Maya & Esmeralda Rodriguez. Before I go, I have to say this. 13 yrs ago this Saturday, something was taking away from me. Til this day, I never know what happened that, but this person will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace to my lil sis Carole Marie Brewster & we definitely in the words of Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth “reminisce over you”. To my boy Screws, can’t wait for your podcast & keep up w/ the “Screws U” blog. I got Tae’o from Notre Dame to win the Heisman & I think Pacman will somehow have another close win over Marquez! Catch y’all on the next blog.
