Week 11 preview

CM Flacco! He thinks he’s elite, but can he prove it vs Pittsburgh this week!

If there was a theme for last week, it would be fragile qbs. Last week not only saw the Falcons fall from the undefeated files, we saw 4 qbs get injured & the Rams & 49ers played to a tie. I wonder what we got in store for this week. Let’s break down some games shall we!!

Thursday

Miami vs Buffalo- An AFC East battle kicks off the week. The Dolphins want to shake that ass whipping the Titans gave them & it was so bad that Philbin benched Reggie Bush & Rodney Harrison took exception to it. For the Bills, they played the Pats tough, but Fitzpatrick threw a key int in the end zone to thwart a comeback win. Both teams believe it or not are still in the playoff chase. They just need a lot of help. The Bills are 1 pt home faves. I like the Dolphins straight up

Sunday

Green Bay vs Detroit- A NFC North battle here. The Packers are coming off the bye week while the Lions were swept in the head to head series vs the Vikings. Green Bay still has a shot of the division thanks to the Bears’ loss to Houston last Sunday & the bye week got some of their players healthy (don’t know about Woodson or Jennings though). The Lions got that bullseye from being the underdogs last yr. The Packers are 3.5 road faves. I like the Pack by a fg.

Arizona vs Atlanta- The Falcons fell from the undefeated last week & they probably said thank god we got the Cardinals to shake off the loss. I know the Cards are coming off a bye week, but their situation at qb & rb is a mess. The defense keeps them in games, but Kolb or Skelton has a hard time getting the ball in Larry Fitzgerald’s hands. The Falcons are 9.5 home faves. I say the Falcons will put boots to asses to them & win by 2 tds.

Randy:

Tampa Bay vs Carolina- We got a divisional battle here. The Bucs & Doug “Muscle Hampster” Martin are coming off a 10 pt win vs the Chargers while the Panthers had a tough lose vs the Broncos at home & the Broncos kept mocking Cam’s superman celebration. I wonder how the Charlotte media is going to portray him this week. He & the team needs a great performance. The Bucs are still in the hunt for the wild card & they look nice. They are 1.5 road faves. I like the Bucs by a fg

Randy:

Cleveland vs Dallas- My Browns head into Jerry’s house after the bye week. I thought they would had fired Shumur, but Haslam & the new guys kept their word about evaluation in the offseason. They should had won the Ravens game, but he was coaching scared. For the Cowboys, they got a much needed win in Philly & injured Michael Vick in the process. Romo didn’t have a turnover in that game. The Cowboys are a td home fave. I like my Browns to win by a td. In Trent I trust (time to hate on me again Letty)

Randy:

Philadelphia vs Washington- I thought this was gonna be Michael Vick vs RG III til the Cowboys killed that idea. But the Eagles will have Nick Foles instead & he looked impressive in some flashes. Then again, the offensive line has been the downfall for the Eagles & why the hell they don’t utlize LeSean McCoy more. For the Redskins, they are coming off their bye week. They are exciting w/ Griffin, but he’s took a lot of hits like Vick as well & he’s a rookie. Expect a lot of hard hitting in this game. The Eagles are 1.5 road faves. I like the Eagles to bounce back for a win. They are due & it takes pressure of Andy’s back

Randy:

NY Jets vs St Louis- The Jets are coming off a loss in Seattle & the NY media is on Rex’s ass again. Cromatire thinks they can make the postseason, but they need a lot of help & the fans are already saying they should bench Sanchez for Tebow. As for the Rams, they tied the 49ers last week, but they got a boost w/ the return of Danny Amendola & two fake punts that were successful. Both teams still in hunt for postseason berths believe it or not. The Jets are a pt road fave. I like the Rams by a td (sorry Havana gf)

Noez:

Randy:

Cincinnati vs Kansas City- The Chiefs gave the Steelers everything they got, but lost in ot. They should be happy they sprain Roethesberger’s shoulder in a losing effort. For the Bengals, they exposed the Giants’ secondary & shocked the league w/ their win over the champs. They needed that win to get respect from the league. The Bengals are a fg fave. I like the Bengals by a td.

Noez:

Randy:

Jacksonville vs Houston- The Texans are coming off a statement win in Chicago despite the weather conditions. The defense was on point & Arian Foster was on ground control. For the Jags, the Colts embarrassed them in their own house & they’re not the same w/ Jones Drew. The Texans are 16 pt home faves. Fair enough spread for that game. I like the Texans & the points

Noez:

Randy:

New Orleans vs Oakland- The Saints did the ’72 Dolphins a favor by knocking off the Falcons last week, giving them their 1st loss. Even though they are 4-5, they are still are in the playoff chase. As long as you have Brees & the offense, you still have a chance. The defense is another story. For the Raiders, the Ravens put a 50 burger on you & did you dirty by running a fake fg on you when they were up by 45! I wonder how Al Davis would took that if he was still alive. The Saints are a fg fave. I like the Saints by a td.

Noez:

Randy:

San Diego vs Denver- Last time these teams met, it was on Monday night & the Chargers blew a 21-3 lead & choke the game in San Diego. The Broncos have won 5 straight after their win in Carolina while the Chargers had a 4th qtr meltdown in Tampa Bay. Norv Turner was heated in the post game conference. That’s dead man walking if they don’t make the postseason. The Broncos are 6.5 home faves. I like the Broncos by a td

Noez:

Randy:

Indianapolis vs New England- Andrew Luck is doing more what Peyton Manning did for the Colts in his rookie yr. They are in the playoff race & are the new America’s team. I’m supporting Chuckstrong & he had another round of chemo last week. Prayers to him. For the Pats, they had to shake off the Bills at home. The last few yrs, this use to be Brady vs Manning, but now it’s Luck vs Brady. The Pats are 8 pt home faves. I’m calling an upset here. The Colts win by a Vinateri fg.

Noez:

Randy:

Baltimore vs Pittsburgh- The nastiest rivalry in the AFC North begins this week. Both teams are coming off wins. The Ravens ran roughshot on the Raiders while the Steelers won in ot vs the Chiefs, despite Big Ben separating his shoulder. His availiblty is in question, but we know that Troy Polamalu is going to miss another game. Can anyone stay healthy in this league? Expect a lot of defense in this game. The Ravens are 4.5 road faves. I like the Ravens by that spread

Monday

Chicago vs San Francisco- I was so anxious for this game. It had NFC championship preview written until last week. The 49ers almost had the trap game syndrome til they forced a tie while the Bears’ offense was a no show in their loss to Houston. Both of their qbs (Cutler & Smith) picked up concussions & their statuses are unknown for this game. It may come down to Kaepernick vs Campbell, but the Bears signed Josh McKown for insurance. Both team relies on defense. It may come down to qb play. The 49ers are 5 pt home faves. I like the 49ers by a fg.

Last week, Randy & Noez tied w/ an 8-4-1 record while I finished up w/ a 6-7-1 record. I hope I can take the top spot this week. Happy b-day shoutouts to my cousin Sheliette Curry, Carlos Mendez (definitely meet up @ Spin on Saturday), Nikki Serrato, Johnnie Martinez, Lindsay Locke, & Jen O’ Neil (congrats on the baby)! To my boys Steven Screws, welcome back to the blogging world. Let’s go Bruins in the rivalry game and I’ll catch everyone on the next blog. Peace!!!
