Week 4 preview

Until the regular refs come back, we’re gonna see more bs like this in football

What a week we had in the National Footblall League!! We saw the 49ers get knocked off their pedestal, 3 games that went into overtime, & 2 nationally televised games that came down to the last seconds & the scab refs had to make the biggest judgement calls of the season, resulting in water cooler for the next 3 days. The biggest goof was on last night game between Green Bay & Seattle when Russell Wilson threw a game winning hail mary td to Golden Tate & the whole world saw that it wasn’t a td, also the fact he got away w/ offensive pass interference. The league look at the play again today & still upheld the call. I know Goodell’s phone was blowing up because someone on the Packers post up his office number on Twitter. Shit, Twitter, Facebook, & any other social network was trending that topic. My thought on this: Bring back the regular refs. It’s starting to look like fight night in Vegas with these silly decisions. Also, to all those people who say I’m not going to watch another football game til the refs return, stop lying to yourselves. You’re sounding like individuals who a day after a hangover they claim they won’t drink again, they’ll have another drink in their hands the next day. With that said, let’s break down week 4 (Steelers & Colts have the bye week)

Thursday

Cleveland vs Baltimore- My Browns are coming off a dismal loss to the Bills. They couldn’t stop Ryan Fitzpatrick & the Bills when they were 5 wide & the running game, whether it was C.J. Spiller before he got hurt or his replacement. Only bright spot for the Browns was Jordan Cameron being Brandon Weeden’s favorite target. For the Ravens, they had an emotional win vs the Pats, which came down to a Tucker field goal & did he make it or not. Also, props to Torrey Smith, who was playing w/ a heavy heart after learning that his younger bro died in a motorcycle accident that morning. It’s a short week & a divisional rival, so expect a lot of chippiness. I know Ray Rice will be licking his chops because he had a 200 yd game rushing vs the Browns last yr. Too much distractions for the Ravens. The Ravens are 12.5 pt home faves. I like my Browns to pull a slight upset & take the under.

New England vs Buffalo- It’s an AFC East showdown this week. The Bills are coming off a win over the Browns, but won’t have C.J. Spiller this week after a shoulder injury. Fortunate for them, Fred Jackson looks like he’s gonna return this week. As for the Pats, they had the 1st weird ending of the week in their loss to the Ravens. It was so weird that Bill Belechik tried to grab a scab ref to get an explanation to whether the field goal kick was good or not. Also in their game, both the Pats & Ravens combined for 24 penalties (a lot of extracurricular activities). Funny part is that the Bills are 2-1 while the Pats are 1-2. The Pat are 3.5 road faves. I like the Bills to win & take the pts.

San Francisco vs NY Jets- The 49ers are coming off their 1st loss of the season when Minnesota & Christian Pounder popped them in the month. For the Jets, they needed overtime to beat the Jets, but it came w/ a cost. They lost Darelle Revis aka Revis Island for the whole yr when he tore his ACL. That’s a big blow for the Jets because he’s their best shutdown corner & now Antonio Cromatrie is gonna be picked on by every qb he sees for the rest of the yr. It’s gonna be a defensive battle because both teams thrive on the d. The 49ers are field goal road faves. I love my Havana girlfriend, but there is no way in hell that the Jets are gonna win this game. Take the 49ers & the points.

Seattle vs St. Louis- Pete Carroll, Russell Wilson ,the liar Golden Tate, & the Seahawks are the luckiest team in the world after today. They are flying high off that b.s win. Whether it had came down to that or not, their defense was making Aaron Rodgers’ life a living hell by sacking him 8 times in the 1st half. For the Rams, they are coming off a loss vs the Bears. The Rams may be 1-2, but Jeff Fisher has brought toughness to that team. Another divisional battle, so expect some chippy play. The Seahawks are 1.5 road faves. I like the Seahawks in a close battle.

Carolina vs Atlanta- We got a NFC South battle in this mother. The Falcons are one of 3 teams that are still undefeated. They dominated the Chargers last week The defense picked up where they left off on Monday vs the Broncos & I think that DUI on Michael Turner from coming back from Magic City was a boost up for him. He scored a td in his return to the 619. For the Panthers, they were embarrassed on Thursday by the champs & Steve Smith didn’t appreciate Cam Newton sulking on the sidelines after getting replace by Derek Anderson. I don’t if that was more worse than NFL Network clowning him about having his eyes closed on the post game press conference. Grow up Cam, you say you’re a leader, be one!! The Dirty Birds are 6 pt home faves. Take the Birds & the over

Randy:

Minnesota vs Detroit- NFC North or black & blue divisional battle here. The Lions are coming off a wild overtime loss to the Titans (Shaun Hill, what the hell were you thinking on 4th down & how the hell those refs screw up that chain length) & the Vikngs shocked the world by beating the 49ers. I wonder if Christian Pounder qb rating got higher after last week. He was 4th going into last week. For the Lions, what’s the situation on Matthew Stafford, who got hurt last week & at least Calvin Johnson had a breakout game for my fantasy football heads & scored a td as well. Can the Vikes hold their slight lead of 1st place in the NFC North w/ da Bears. There’s no line so far for this game. I like the Lions to hold down their homefield. Lions by a td

Randy:

San Diego vs Kansas City- The Chief are coming off an overtime win in New Orleans & Jamal Charles had the game of his life w/ 217 yds rushing. The Chargers were just popped in the mouth by the Falcons in their own house last week. A divisional battle at stake & a great rivalry. The Chargers are a field goal road faves. I like the Chiefs to carry that momentum from New Orleans & defend their house in this battle. Take the Chiefs & the pts (What up Rojo)

Randy:

Tennessee vs Houston- The Ttians won a crazy ot battle at home vs the Lions. They made history w/ a punt return (Music City Mircale pt.2 ) & a kick-off return td in the same game. Sad part is that Chris Johnson still can’t get his running game going. For the Texans, still undefeated, however it came down after Peyton Manning tried one of his miracles. Another divisional battle here. The Texans are 10.5 pt home faves. Take the Texans & the over. The Titans need CJK2 to snap out his funk

Cincinnati vs Jacksonville- Both teams are coming off wins. The Bengals had to overcome RG III’s home debut & his late minute comeback to escape the win while Blaine Gabbert pulled a victory right out the hands of Andrew Luck & the Colts. The Jags should also be glad that Maurice Jones Drew was back in pro bowl form in that game. I guess holding out didn’t affect his game, but in the words of Deion Sanders: PAY THE MAN. He’s the heart & soul of that team. The Bengals are tied w/ the Ravens in the AFC North & still making baby steps w/ that young team of Andy Dalton & A.J. Green. The Bengals are 1 pt road faves. Take the Bengals straight up

Oakland vs Denver- Another AFC West rivalry game this week. Both teams are coming 1-2. The Raiders pulled off a great comeback win at home vs the Steelers off the foot of Sea Bass (Get well Heyward- Bey). Carson Palmer, in my opinion,, played his best game as a Raider last week. For the Broncos, they were fighting from the bottom to make it a close game, but eventually lost to the Texans. It gets worse that Joe Mays is suspended for this game for a helmet to helmet shot to Matt Schaub last week (he’s appealing the suspension). Expect a lot of hard hitting in this game. The Broncos are 5.5 home faves. It’s a toss –up for me. I like the Raiders to steal this game in Mile High. Manning & the Broncos aren’t yet in sync.

Noez: Oak

Randy:

Miami vs Arizona- Whoever thought the Cardinal would start 3-0 would be out their mind, but it’s true. Their defense is the reason & I guess John Skelton’s injury brought out the swag for Kevin Kolb. Last week, they were just popping Michael Vick & the Eagles in the mouth. The Dolphins lost a heartbreaking ot game at home vs the Jets. At least Reggie Bush’s injury wasn’t that serious . I feel sorry for Tanehill this week. The Cards are 4.5 home faves. I like the Cards by a td.

Randy:

Washington vs Tampa Bay- Both teams are coming off close losses. The Bucs lost to the Cowboys, but Schiano was back to his antics bout playing til the last week. For the Redskins, RG III felt the pressure of the Bengals, however he still had a chance to beat them til he took an ill advised sack & they had no timeouts. In my opinion & I was watch Pardon the Interruption on this subject, he’s getting killed everytine he’s taking a hard shot ala Michael Vick. I wonder will he be around by week 8 if he doesn’t stay in the pocket. Tampa is defensive minded & love to play til the final whistle. This game may come down to Josh Freeman vs Griffin & which quarterback makes the less mistakes. The Bucs are 2 pt home faves. I like the Bucs to cover the spread @ home. Watch out for victory formation anyone

Randy:

New Orleans vs Green Bay- What’s the bigger storyline in this game, the Packers getting screwed by the replacement refs on Monday night or the Saints being 0-3? I say it’s the Saints because they knew they were coming into this season w/ all these distractions bout Bounty Gate, Drew Brees’ contract situation & the suspensions of the players & coaches. They gained a moral victory when the players suspensions were overturned, but their defense is hurting them in these losses. They should be winning, even w/out Sean Payton on the sidelines. For the Packers, the scab refs screwed them. I was surprise that McCarthy didn’t have a nigga moment in the weekly press conference today, however his players (Aaron Rodgers especially) are voicing their opinions. I give props to that lineman for airing out the commish on Twitter, also 2 thiumbs up for posting his number on Twitter as well (how did you like answering 70, 0000 complaints in one night). This is a rematch of week 1 of last yr’s shootut game when it came down to the Packers stopping Mark Ingram from scoring w/ no timeout. Expect another shootout again. The Packers are 5 pts home faves. I like the Packers to take their frustrations out on the Saints. Packers by a td

Randy:

NY Giants vs Philadelphia- For the last 10 yrs, this has been the best rivalry in the NFC East hands down. Both teams are 2-1 & strictly just don’t like each other. If you believe me, ask Osi Umenyora & Desean McCoy. The Giants have something the Eagles have been chasing & that’s the Lombardi trophy. Last week, the champs got back in sync w/ a beatdown on Carolina as Andre Brown & Ramsey Barden filled in lovely for Ahmad Bradshaw & Hakeem Nicks, who missed the game because of injuries. For the Eagles, turnovers were their demise in their loss. They already have 12 turnovers lost as a team. They need to protect the ball much better. It’s a divisional battle, so expect anything to pop off. The Eagles are 2 pt home faves. I like the Giants to win straight up. For my boys Antoine Boulos & Burt Khella who are attending that game, enjoy yourselves & don’t try to kill each out there after the result of the game.

Monday

Chicago vs Dallas- This looks like a great Monday night game. The Bears responded from the beating by Green Bay by putting one on the Rams. Jay Cutler was only sacked twice last week, a better improvement than being dropped 7 times the week before that. For the Cowboys, they had an ugly win vs the Bucs. I really mean it was ugly because Tony Romo was struggling. Expect the Bears defense to come hard at Romo. It may come down to if Romo or Cutler makes less mistakes. Advice to Cutler, don’t put your hands on Webb again. The Cowboys are 3.5 home faves. I take the Bears & the points (sorry Letty Baby)

That’s my time!! Happy b-day shout-outs to my peeps Rob Hernandez, Manny Limon, Bobby Bell, T.I., Ryan Leslie, my cousin Omar Rushdan, my girl Gina Rival (hope you like the mix), Ismael Franco, Monique Garcia, John Lanza, my girl Melody Miranda, Christopher Polanco, Lydia Ocampo, Nikki Alvarado & of course, yours truly. Big ups thanks to my homie Chris Landrum for letting me do my b-day thang this Saturday at Seta!! To my girl Leticia Robinson, you get a special shoutout. I know it’s fun & games when I dog the Cowboys on these blogs, but I’m gonna miss you when you’re gone on your deployment. Make it back safe & we definitely will have another Tutti Frutti date when you return stateside. One love to her & to all my peeps. Til then, I’m out. Goodbye 35, hello 36!!
