Week 10 picks!!

Posted: November 9, 2011 by djplaymaker in NFL

I know everyone out there enjoyed last weeks. We had Eli Manning proving his claim to be an elite quarterback w/ a comeback vs Tom Brady, Joe Flacco getting his 1st sweep over Rothesberger & the Steelers, the Dolphins finally getting their 1st win & Patrick Peterson walking off in overtime. What do we have for week 10, we don’t know. However, we know this: Thursday night games start this week. Before I start, props to Mega 7981 & Solrac for taking your boy to Oaktown to check out the Raiders play & R.I.P shoutouts to “Smoking” Joe Frazier & Heavy D. Let’s go shall we.

Thursday
Oakland vs San Diego- the AFC West rivals start off this week’s games on Thursday for the NFL network. Both teams are coming losses. The Raiders were just punked & outplayed by Tebow & the Broncos while the Chargers gave the Packers everything they wanted, but still came out emptyhanded. Carson Palmer has already thrown 6 ints in 2 games while Phillip rivers has thrown 14 himself, so expect some turnovers. The Raiders won’t have McFadden for this game as he’s still been bothered by the hammy while the Chargers probably won’t have Ryan Matthews to go along w/ Malcolm Floyd for this game. It’s a divisional battle, so expect a lot of hard hitting & penalties. The Chargers are a touchdown fave @ home.

Playmaker: Carson needs to get his ish together. I’m gonna take the Chargers & cover the spread.

Mega: Oakland

Sunday

New Orleans vs Atlanta- Finally, the Falcons are getting on all cylinders & getting healthy after their performance in Indy. Julio Jones catching touchdown passes along w/ Michael Turner dominating the running game gave them the balanced offense they were looking for earlier in the season. The Saints are coming off their win over the Bucs, however this game is big for divisional reasons. The Saints seem to have a problem of winning on the road w/ 3 losses & Matty Ice could use a lil home cooking. There was no spread last time I checked.

Playmaker: I like the Falcons to win @ home

Randy:

Pittsburgh vs Cincinnati- How funny is that the Bengals are leading the AFC north & they get their 1st chance for respect as they host the Steelers this week. The Steelers let Joe Flacco drove down the field to beat them & sweep the head to head series. The Bengals just popped the titans in the mouth. At least James Harrison returned last week. It’s a divisional battle, so expect a lot of extracurricular activities after the whistle. The Steelers are a fg road faves.

Playmaker: The Benagal have a defense & Dalton & Green have surprised me. I like the Bengals to win & cover the spread. WHO DAT!!

Randy:

St. Louis vs Cleveland- My Browns come back to the ‘land after that ass-whipping the Texans gave them. The Rams were walked off by Patrick Peterson in Arizona last game. This game reunites Pat Shurmur w/ his old team since he was their offensive coordinator before he got the coaching gig in Cleveland. Peyton Hillis probably’s not going to play in this game (my opinion of this: LET HIS ASS WALK AFTER THE SEASON). My Browns are fg faves @ home.
Playmaker: This is a game we must win. I take my Browns to win & cover.

Buffalo vs Dallas: The Bills suffered their 1st home loss last week while the Cowboys shook off that beatdown in Philly to lay it on the Seachickens. DeMarco Murrary is starting to prove people he’s the real deal. They already released Tashard Choice, so watch your back Felix Jones. The Bills were just in the wrong place at the wrong time for the Jets. Both teams have excellent running backs in Murrary & Fred Jackson. This is big for the Bills because they are in a 3 way tie for 1st in the AFC East. It may come down to whether Romo doesn’t force any turnovers because the Bills love to ball hawk around their opposition. The Cowboys are 5 pt home faves.

Playmaker: I like the Bills to win & go under the spread (take that Letty Bear)

Randy:

Jacksonville vs Indianapolis- The Colts are the only team left that hasn’t won a game yet. The Falcons took it to them last week while the Jags are coming off the bye week, so they are ready. Colts fans are pretty much conceding this yr & hoping that they get Andrew Luck in the draft. Caldwell is still sticking w/ Painter though. Why does Peyton think he wants to come back this yr, I don’t know. The Jags are a fg road fav.

Playmaker: I think this is the week the Colts crack the winners’ bracket. I like the Colts to win & cover the spread

Randy:

Denver vs Kansas City- How the hell the Broncos beat the Raiders last week? I was there to see it in person & damn, Tim Tebow, along w/ Willis Mcgahee carried the team on their back. As for the Chiefs, really? Really? You lose to the Dolphins, who hadn’t won a game at that point til last week. You made the AFC West a clusterf*#k since the Chargers, Raiders, & yourselves are tied w/ a 4-4 record while the Broncos @ 3-5 slowly making progress & moves. Divisional battle, so expect a lot of after the whistle mischiefs. The Chiefs are a fg fave @ home.

Playmaker: The Chiefs hardly lose @ Arrowhead. I like them to win & cover. Let’s go Optimus Prime

Mega:

Randy:

Washington vs Miami- Congrats to the Dolphins for finally cracking the winners’ bracket last week. Reggie Bush was having SC’ flashbacks w/ his 91 yds rushing. The Redskins were mandhandled by the 49ers last week in their own house. What is there to talk about in this game. The Dolphins are 4 pt home faves.

Playmaker: I like the Doplhins if they still keep Bush going off on his mojo.

Randy:

Arizona vs Philadelphia- The Eagles blew another 4 qtr lead in their game Monday vs the Bears while Patrick Peterson got his Desean Jackson’ on w/ that walk-off punt return td in overtime. This game marks the 1st time D.R.C plays his former team since he got traded there along w/ a 4th round pick for Kevin Kolb. Speaking of Kolb, he may be questionable for this game. No Spread for this game yet.

Playmaker- the Eagles will bounce back & win

Randy:

Tennessee vs Carolina- The Panthers come off the bye week & that makes me excited because Cam Newton can be my starting qb again in f.f (7-2 by the way). The Titans lost last week to the Bengals & question for them is when will Chris Johnson show up. I mean Javon Ringer’s putting up better numbers than him & you’re making Hasselback throw more. The Panthers are a fg fave @ home.

Playmaker: The Panthers are still young & Steve Smith is having a LL Cool J season (don’t call it a comeback). However, I gotta pick the Titans to win & cover the spread

Mega:

Noez:

Randy: Titans

Houston vs Tampa Bay- The Texans spanked my Browns last week as Ben Tate & Arian Foster both went over 100 yds rushing & the defense hasn’t missed a beat since Mario Williams’ injury shut him down. Now, if they can just get Andre Johnson healthy again. The Bucs had a tough loss in New Orleans & lost their best defensive player in Gerald McCoy for the season after he tore his triceps. The Texans are fg road faves.

PlayMaker: Too much Foster & Tate. I like the Texans to win & cover.

Randy:

Baltimore vs Seattle- Joe Flacco got that monkey off his back w/ that last 2 min drive to defeat the Steelers & sweep the head to head series this yr (what does James Harrison think of him now) while the Seachickens were just popped in the mouth by the Cowboys. No need to say much about this game. The Ravens are 6.5 road faves.

Playmaker: The Ravens & take the over

Randy:

Detroit vs Chicago- The Bears stunned the critics last night in their win in Philly. The Lions are coming off the bye week & N’Dominque Suh may have a chip on his shoulder since he was voted the dirtiest player in the NFL by his peers in a landslide. For the Bears, they won w/ Cutler not getting sacked or being picked off despite Forte fumbling twice (you still pay him though). Last time these teams played, it was on Monday night & The Lions were ready for primetime. I don’t think Jahvid Best will be playing this game. The Bears are a fg home fave.

Playmaker: This is a different Bears’ team now. I like the Bears to win in Soldier Field & cover the spread.

Randy:

N.Y. Giants vs San Francisco- The 49ers are 7-1, yet they’re hardly getting any respect from the league. The Giants had a super Bowl flashback in their win over the Pats last week. Eli Manning is starting to believe his own hype about wanting to be an elite qb. The 49ers just win games w/ hard smashmouth running & a defensive that has you fearing for your life. They are still the only team that hasn’t given up a rushing td nor a 100 yd rusher. The 49ers are about to getting into the devil’s pit of their schedule, so this is big. The 49ers are 3.5 home faves.

Playmaker- In the words of Deion Sanders, I do “Belive in Eli”. However, not this week. I like the 49ers to win & cover (sorry Screws)

Mega:

Randy:

New England vs N.Y. Jets- don’t look now, but Rex & the Jets are looking like they got their swagger back. They gave the Bills their 1st home loss & the defensive is starting to click. The Pats got “Elied” by the Giants & relased Albert Haynesworth today. I see Ocho being the next one before the week is over. Those acquisitions didn’t work out for them. The defense is their problem. The Jets are 1.5 home faves.

Playmaker: You already know who I’m riding with. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS & go barely over the Spread. The Jets’ chant was for the “Havana girlfriend”

Monday

Minnesota vs Green Bay- The Packers are still undefeated after their 8 pt win in San Diego. Aaron Rodgers is playing like he wants the MVP & another ring. The Vikings are coming the bye week. Last time these 2 teams play, Christian Ponder was making his 1st start. He was impressive, but Charles Woodson gave him a nightmare by intercepting 2 of his passes. The Packers are 13 pt home faves

Playmaker: I like the Packers to win, but take the under. #discountdoublecheck

Last week in the NW radio picks, I went 11-3, Noez 10-4, & Randy 8-6. I told them I’m claiming my no.1 spot like Ludacris would say. Before I sign out, b-day shout outs to Damian Rodriguez, Marisol Carlos, Brandi & Summir Holguin, Sean Randle, Crystal Plata, Chris Romash, my cousin Sheilette Curry, & I like Cain to retain his belt over Dos Santos & Pacman by decision over Marquez! Til then, Peace out ya’ll
