NFL 2010/2011 Conference Championship Time!!!

And then there were 4 remaining teams! What’s good my NFL fans out there in the social network. Last week, we had both no.1 seeds getting eliminated in the divisional round. Now both conference champiuonships pit the 6th seed vs the no. 2 seed for the right to go to the Super Bowl. Let’s get it on shall we.

Green Bay vs Chicago- One of the biggest rivalries in sports history adds a new twist in this battle. A Midwest battle. A game that would make Lombardi & Halas proud. They split the head to head series this yr, each home team protecting their house. The rubber match is for the NFC championship, which means a lot for both teams. The Packers haven’t been to the dance since 1997, when they lost to the Broncos while the Bears haven’t been to the show since 06’ when the Colts beat them. The Packers are 3 ½ pt favorites. It’s a tough decision for me since I’m a Midwest boy & Cleveland’s close to Chicago. My heart says Chi-town, but the Packers & Aaron Rodgers are coming in hot. I say the Packers to win & cover the points.

N.Y Jets vs Pittsburgh- The talkative Jets head to the AFC championship for the 2nd time in the Rex Ryan era. Lat yr, they had a 14 pt lead on the Colts, only to lose the game to them. Rex wants to win it this yr. All the hype this offseason, including “Hard Knocks” leads up to this. The Steelers on the other hand are looking to add trophy no.7 to the franchise history. The defense is clicking on all cylinders 7 they still have Ben Roethesberger, who’s 2 rings away from reaching Bradshaw status. The Jets beat the Steelers last time they met, but the Steelers had no Troy Polomalu.. The Black & Yellow are 4 pt favorites. You already know where I’m going w/ this pick! I went out on a limb 2 weeks in a row & I had great results. I’m rolling w/ gang green by a field goal & I want Santonio Holmes to have the last laugh in this game. The reason? Because the Steeler organization traded him for failing a drug test & getting arrested while the rapist qb got a slap on the wrist from them for his b.s in Tahoe 2 yrs in a row.

That’s my time for this week. Next time you’ll be reading from me is the Super Bowl preview!! Have a safe weekend America!!
