It’s conference championship time

Posted: January 20, 2012 by djplaymaker in NFL

It has come down to this. We have four teams remaining in the postseason Only 2 teams get to punch their ticket to Indy for the Super Bowl. In the AFC, the top 2 seeds are competing while in the NFC, the match-up is a rematch of a regular season game, but it’s not the one everyone expected. Last week, we saw Alex Smith lead a game winning drive over the Saints, Tebow time hitting midnight in New England, the Ravens having to claw w/ the Texans & Eli winning in Lambeau again. I wonder how the conference championships will pan out. Let’s break them down shall we.

Sunday

AFC championship- Baltimore vs New England- The top 2 seeds in the AFC meet in New England to see who represents the AFC IN Indy. The Pats smacked the Broncos in the mouth last week while the Ravens have to claw & fight to defeat the Texans in a close game. However, we got some controversy in the Ravens locker room as Ed Reed called out Joe Flacco w/ his comment about the Texans had him rattled. Flacco said he shook it off, but he’s the leader of the offense. If Ray Rice doesn’t get going, the offense depends on him & he sometimes does get shaky. The Pats click on offense, but their defense, which was ranked #30th, is their problem. They are a td fave at home

Playmaker: I think the Pats’ defense will cost them. I like the Ravens & cover the spread. Jack Harbaugh does his job & waits to see if Jim do his

Noez:

Randy:

NFC championship- .N.Y. Giants vs San Francisco- The 49ers had the best game in the divisional round last week. Alex Smith & Vernon Davis, two guys who had been ridiculed in the Bay Area for years, stepped up & did their thang last week. Smith w/ his moxie for the dramatic & Davis w/ the game winning td. The Giants are clicking again like it did in ’07 when they won the Super Bowl. Eli outplayed the MVP Aaron Rodgers. Hakeem Nicks has been a beast lately & just wait til Victor Cruz do his thing. The 49ers won the 1st match-up in a close match-up earlier in the season, but the G-Man weren’t healthy then. It’s gonna be another close game. Mother Nature may play a factor as rain drops will be falling in the Bay. The 49ers are 2.5 home faves

Playmaker: I like the defense, ground & pound w/Frank Gore & Alex Smith hardly makes any mistakes. I like the 49ers to win & cover. Make that Harbaugh Bowl 2 happen again.

Noez:

Randy:

Last week, I went 3-1 while Noez & Randy went 2-2. Let’s see if both of us get our SB picks right. B-day shoutouts to Lalo Juarez, Sangeetha Flores, & Sonia Estrella. I catch ya next week to review some NBA (like I’m gonna review the Pro Bowl). Peace

Round 2 : Divisional round

Posted: January 13, 2012 by djplaymaker in NFL

How’s my football fans doing!! I know everyone enjoyed the wild card weekend. We saw the Texans win their 1st ever playoff game, the Saints exploded in the 2nd half vs the Lions, Matt Ryan still can’t win a playoff game as the Giants manhandled the Falcons & of course, Tebow 3:16 says I just burned the Steelers’ ass. We wonder what the divisional round has to offer. I’m so excited to see how the Packers do in their 1st title defense & how the 49ers can do in their play-off debut w/ Jim Harbaugh as their coach. Let’s break it down shall we.

Saturday

New Orleans vs San Francisco- The Saints head to the Bay for their 2nd play-off after destroying the Lions in the wild card round. The 49ers got two weeks to prepare for their high octane & I like their chances. The reason: they play ball- control football & that defense is one to die for. We can finally also see how the Saints can do when they aren’t in the dome as they have to face a hostile crowd & Harbaugh has turned that culture around. The Saints are 3.5 road faves.

Playmaker: I’m calling my shot- I like the 49ers to win cover the spread. Defense wins titles

Noez:

Randy:

Denver vs New England- Tebow mania made it’s debut in the postseason & boy, it made it’s mark in the new overtime rules. How ironic that he passed for 316 yds & had the highest quarterback rating for wild card weekend. They will try to avenge their loss to the Patriots 4 weeks ago. Props to my boy Joe Gaysso aka Jo-Jo Bear, but he thinks Tom Brady hates all the attention that Tebow’s getting. He won’t admit it, but we can see it. Let’s hope this game is close in the final 4 mins. The Pats are 13.5 home faves.

Playmaker: I see Tebow-mania losing it’s glass slipper. I like the Pats, but take the under.

Noez:

Randy:

Sunday

Houston vs Baltimore- The Ravens & Joe Flacco get to host their 1st home play-off in 6 yrs. I think the Steelers losing last week has got them more swagger because they don’t have to face them in the postseason, even though they won the head to head series. The Texans pounded the ball w/ Arian Foster & Andre Johnson looked decent in his play-off. It’s going be a defensive battle & I wonder if the Ravens going to rely on Flacco or feed the little man Ray Rice. The Ravens beat them in week 3 earlier this yr. The Ravens are 7.5 home faves.

Playmaker: I like the Ravens to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy:

N.Y. Giants vs Green Bay- The Packers get another crack at the G-man in the divisional round. The Packers needed a last min drive to defeat the Giants in week 13 w/ a fg. The Giants dominated the Falcons last week & Eli’s playing like he’s an elite qb. Like they say, you can’t spell elite w/out saying Eli. Aaron Rodgers aka the “real A-Rod” is looking for his 2nd title, same thing as Eli. The Packers are 7.5 home faves.

Playmaker: This will be the game of the week. I see a high scoring close game. I like the champs to win & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy:

Last week, Noez & Randy both went 3-1 in wild card weekend while I went 1-3. Let’s see how we do this week. Happy b-day shoutouts to Erin Ferrer, Anotoinette Diaz, Milinda Foley, Sheronda Hogue, & Yvette Calzada. By the way, round 1 of Lob City vs Lake Show this Saturday!! Let’s go Lakers. I catch everyone next week for conference title week. Peace

Wild Card Weekend

Posted: January 5, 2012 by djplaymaker in NFL

It’s here ladies & gentleman. 17 weeks passed & 32 teams competed to make the 12 team play-offs to call themselves champion when the smoke clears. Last week, we saw Tebow & the Broncos win the AFC West by losing the Orton bowl & the Raiders couldn’t capitalize on their mistakes, the Giants winning the NFC East & the Bengals clinching the final wild card spot. Now we have wild card weekend & Saturday’s games are rematches of regular season matches & Sunday’ s games are very interesting. Let’s break them down shall we

Saturday

Cincinnati vs Houston- This is a rematch of a week 14 game that was in Cincy. In this game, T.J. Yates led the Texans down the field for a game winning td w/ 6 secs left. This match-up is now in Houston & it’s the Texans 1st ever play-off game & the Bengals 1st play-off appearance in 4 yrs. Expect a lot of jitters from both teams. The Texans are a fg home fave.

Playmaker: I like the Bengals to steal this game since Marvin Lewis has coaching experience in the postseason over Kubiak. Cover the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Detroit vs New Orleans- Again, another rematch from a regular season contest. That game, the Lions kept in close til Brees & the Saints pulled away. However, something will be different this time. Suh didn’t play this 1st game, now he’s in this game. Expect a lot of offensive explosion. The Saints are 11 pts home fave.

Playmaker: I like the Saints, but take the under in this one

Noez:

Randy:

Sunday

Atlanta vs NY Giants- The Falcons get to travel to the Meadowlands to face Eli & the Giants. The Giants got here by clinching the NFC East, however the Falcons have the better record than them. But, since the Giants won their division, they get to host the game. This game may come down to which team has the better running game. Atlanta can come at you either way running or passing while the Giants rely on Eli & his passing when the running game is suspect. The Giants are a fg home fave.

Playmaker: I like the Falcons to win this match-up & take the over

Noez:

Randy:

Pittsburgh vs Denver- The Tebow train makes it play-off debut & it gets a tough one off the bat. The Steelers are coming in banged up w/ Mendehall tearing his ACL, Ryan Clark & sickle cell denying him to play in this game. Don’t forget about Big Ben’s ankle. For the Broncos, Elway already gave some advice to Tebow by saying “let it fly”. C’mon son, I’ve seen high school quarterbacks have better passing acurancy than Tebow. This will be a defensive battle & if it’s close in the 4th & 5 mins left, watch out for Tebow time. The Steelers are 8 pt road faves.

Playmaker: If you think Tebow’s gonna win his 1st play-off game, keep dreaming. Take the Steelers & the under

Noez:

Randy:

Last week, rookie Randy won week 17 w/ a 12-4 record, Noez had 11-5 & yours truly had a dismal 9-7 record. Let’s see how we do in the postseason. Happy b-day shoutouts to my cousin Nikki Reynolds, Jessica Lara, Michael Varciag, David Enzo, Angie Martinez, Mary J.Blige, Aaron Ramos & a posthomus 33 b-day to my lil bro Terrance Brewster aka T-Bagz!! We got you. RIP. Til then, catch ya next week. Peace

Week 17 finale

Posted: December 29, 2011 by djplaymaker in NFL

The time has come. We are here. The final week of the regular season of the NFL. Two divisions are up for grabs as well as the final wild card spot in the AFC. Last week, we saw the Giants win the battle of NY, Adrian Peterson tearing both his MCL & ACL, another Dallas lost in December, & Dan Marino’s records for rookie season & regular season being surpassed by Cam Newton & Drew Brees. Not that much storyline for this week except draft postioning, play-off postioning & divisions needed to be won. Let’s chop it up shall we!

Sunday

Detroit vs Green Bay- Both teams are in the playoffs & the Packers already assured themselves home-field advantage throughout, but the Lions are competing w/ the Falcons for who gets the 5th seed. The Packers won the 1st match-up on Thanksgiving & that was the game that Suh got ejected for stepping on the lineman. The Packers have nothing to prove, except to finish undefeated @ Lambeau. I wonder if McCarthy’s going to be in pre-season mode in this game. The Lions are 3 pt road faves.

Playmaker: I like the Lions to win & carry momentum into their wild card game. Cover the spread also

Noez:

Randy: Detroit

Tennessee vs Houston- The Texans are going to host a wild card game next week, but they aren’t looking good so far. How do they blow that game in Indy last week, I don’t know. Kubiak wants to at least play Andre Johnson this week, to get some rust out of him. TheTitans are still alive in the play-off hunt, but need a lot of help. The Titans are a fg road fave

Playmaker: I like the Texans to sneak out a win, carrying a little momentum going into the postseason. Take the cover also.

Noez:

Randy: Tennessee

Indianapolis vs Jacksonville- The Colts are happy this season is over, because despite winning the last 2 games, they were horrible. However, they are competing w/ the Rams for the no.1 pick in next yr’s draft. As for the Jags, it’s the final home game of the season & I wonder if their fans are going to show up. I know they got new ownership, but show up for their games or Los Angeles, here they come. The Jags are 3.5 home faves.

Playmaker: I like the Jags to win & cover the spread also

Noez:

Randy: Jacksonville

N.Y. Jets vs Miami-The Jets have to play the biggest game of the season inSouth Beach. Rex was hearing it from the local media after losing to the Giants & sorta lit a fire in Mark Sanchez’s ass when he told Steven A Smith if Peyton Manning was available next yr, he’ll take him, but Sanchez’s still his guy. For the Dolphins, the storyline for them is to send Jason Taylor out a winner since he’s retiring after the game. The Dolphins are 2.5 home faves.

Playmaker: I know teams struggle in South Beach, but the Jets will treat it like business & handle it knowing, they still have hopes for the postseason. Take the points also. Hi Havana gf!!

Noez:

Randy: Miami

Chicago vs Minnesota- Both teams are playing for pride this yr. It’s been a dismal yr for both teams. The Bears’ hope of postseason crashed down when both Cutler & Forte went down. The Vikings lost Peterson last week & now Ponder’s competing w/ Joe Webb for his job. Chicago won the 1st match-up in Chi-town & that was McNabb’s swan song. The Vikings are 1 pt home faves.

Playmaker: I like the Vikings to win the home finale. Take the over

Noez:

Randy: Minnesota

Buffalo vs New England- The Pats have already clinched a bye, but still are competing for the top seed in the AFC. The Bills are finishing the string out. The Bills won the 1st match-up in Buffalo, so expect the Pats to look for payback. The Pats are 10.5 home faves.

Playmaker: Take the Pats & the under

Noez:

Randy: New England

Carolina vs New Orleans- The Saints are competing w/ the 49ers for the 2nd seed in the NFC. Brees surpassed Marino’s single season passing record, so expect him to be in pre-season mode unless Sean Payton gets greedy. For the Panthers, the sad part is that it’s Cam Newton rookie finale, so look for him to put on a show in the Superdome. The Saints are 8.5 home faves.

Playmaker: Take the Saints & the under

Noez:

Randy: New Orleans

Washington vs Philadelphia- The Eagles are looking to finish @ .500 w/ a win this week. They are on a 3 game winning streak. It would had meant something for them this week had the Jets did them a favor & beat the Giants. The Redskins are finishing out the string also. Eagles won the 1st match-up in D.C. The Eagles are 8.5 faves.

Playmaker: Eagles & the over. Andy Reid should keep his job

Noez:

Randy: Philadelphia

San Francisco vs St. Louis- The 49ers need just to win to clinch the 2nd seed in the NFC. They finally got their respect by the league w/ 8 pro bowlers. The Rams just the Rams & w/ a Colts win & their loss, they get the no.1 pick. The 49ers are 10.5 road faves.

Playmaker: The 49ers & the under. Harbaugh would want that no. 2 seed

Noez:

Randy:

Tampa Bay vs Atlanta- The Falcons are looking to rebound after that Monday night performance in New Orleans. They are fighting w/ the Lions for the 5th slot in the NFC. The Bucs are playing for pride & Raheem Morris could be on the way out the door after Sunday. He’s a good coach, so someone will pick him up. The Falcons are 11 pt home faves.

Playmaker: Take the Falcons & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy: Atlanta

Baltimore vs Cincinnati- The Bengals control their own destiny this week . All they have to do is win & they are in. However, they got swept by the big dawg Steelers & the Ravens won the 1st match-up in Baltimore. The Ravens still haven’t clinched the AFC North yet & still have something to play for. Dalton & A.J. Green have great rookie yrs, but are they built for situations like this? We’ll find out. The Ravens are 2 pt road faves, even though they struggle on the road.

Playmaker: I know the Ravens struggle on the road, but I take them to win & take the over. Experience overshadows youth anyday.

Noez:

Randy: Baltimore

Pittsburgh vs Cleveland- The Steelers still are in the race for the AFC North title. They won in St. Louis w/ Charlie Batch starting, however Ben might get the start this week. For my Browns, Seneca starts again this week since McCoy still hasn’t been cleared from the Harrison hit. Pittsburgh beat us, but it was close the 1st match-up. There was no spread on this game.

Playmaker: Since Seneca’s starting, I like my Browns’ chances. Browns in an upset & give them a Phil Dawson fg

Noez:

Randy: Pittsburgh

Seattle vs Arizona- The Cardinals & Seahawks are looking to finish w/ a .500 record after this week. They are playing for pride here. Both had strong finishes, but too little, too late. The Seahawks won the 1st match-up in Seattle. The Cards are a fg home fave.

Playmaker: Too much Marshawn Lynch, Seahawks & the over

Noez:

Randy: Seattle

Kansas City vs Denver- Simply put, the Orton Bowl. Kyle returns to Denver & tries to play spoiler to the Broncos playoff hopes. The Broncos just need to win & the Raiders to lose to win the AFC west. The Broncos won the 1st match-up in Arrowhead in an ugly fashion. The Chiefs look more juvenated w/ Romeo coaching them. Can Tebow rebound from the Buffalo massacre? We’ll find out this week. The Broncos are a fg home fave.

Playmaker: Tebow time!! Take the Broncos & the cover

Noez:

Randy: Denver

San Diego vs Oakland- The Raiders have to win & need Orton to play spoiler to Tebow to clinch the AFC west. The Chargers have nothing to play for & will miss the postseason for the 2nd year in a row. Norv Turner likely to coach his final game as Chargers coach. The Raiders won the 1st match-up in S.D. & the Chargers haven’t beaten Oakland in 3 yrs. The Raiders are a Sea Bass fave @ home.

Playmaker: I like the Raiders to win & cover

Noez:

Randy: Oakland

Dallas vs N.Y.Giants- The NFC East’s up for grabs in this game. The Giants dominated the battle of NY last week while the Cowboys under Romo just seem to can’t get right in December. He gets hurt in their loss vs the Eagles & Jerry Jones needs him to step up in their biggest game of the yr. The Giants won the 1st match-up in Dallas because the Cowboys defense couldn’t hold a double digit lead w/ 5 mins left. Who to rely on Eli or Tony? The Giants are a fg fave @ home.

Playmaker- I believe in Eli & the G-Man!! (Prepare to enjoy no Cowboy playoffs Letty, but jokes aside, that’s fucked up what happened to your car)

Noez:

Randy: N.Y. Giants

Last week, your boy went 11-5, randy 10-6, & Noez 7-9.Props to them & Mega for competing w/ me all season. Thanks to Leticia Robinson, the only female who read the blogs & had something to say whether I picked her Cowboys to win or not (I hope they get the people who stole your car). Happy b-day shoutouts to former Sage hostess Shea Snow, AC Carter, Monica Silva, Laticia Weathersby & my homie Alfredo Macias. Hope everyone out there have a safe New Year’s . Catch y’all next yr & next week for wild card weekend.

Week 16: only 2 more weeks left

Posted: December 21, 2011 by djplaymaker in NFL

Yes sir!! Only 2 more weeks left in the regular season til the playoffs start. Last week was what you would say an unexpected week. You had the Colts winning their 1st game while the Packers lost their 1st game, the Chargers & Eagles still alive for postseason berths, the Lions having another comeback win after being down by 14+,the Patriots bursting a balloon in the Tebow express, & 2 power outages in the 49ers/Steelers game on Monday. I wonder what we have coming for us this week. I know some teams who’ve already clinched playoff spots should be thinking about resting players to avoid injuries, but it’s on them whether to do that or not. Let’s break down week 16 shall we.

Thursday

Houston vs Indianapolis- The Colts are hoping that momentum from their 1st win can carry it to this game on Thursday. The Texans had already clinched the AFC South, however they are competing w/ the Ravens for a 1st round bye. T.J. Yates came down to earth last week by throwing 2 ints in the lost to Carolina last week. Andre Johnson won’t be available for this week, but Kubiak wants to at least play him some plays in the season finale. The Texans are 5.5 road faves.

Playmaker: I like the Texans to bounce back after the loss. Take the Texans & under

Noez:

Randy:

Saturday

Cleveland vs Baltimore- Both teams are coming off losses. The Browns blew a 17-7 lead in Arizona & ended up losing, despite Peyton Hillis scoring his 1st rushing td since week 2 while the Ravens just got punked by the Chargers in San Diego & in that game, Antonio Gates made Ray Lewis look old. The Browns probably will have Seneca Wallace starting again this week since McCoy still hasn’t been cleared from the concussion. IMO, they should just start Wallace for the final 2 games. He looked good in the game last week & is more mobile than Colt. The Ravens are 13.5 home faves. Remember last time these two teams played, Ray Rice went off for 200 yds rushing.

Playmaker: I love my Browns, but I don’t see us winning this game. Take the Ravens & the points

Noez:

Randy:

Denver vs Buffalo- The Tebow express was derailed by Brady & the Pats last week. However, he should be at least happy this week since Elway finally showed him some confidence saying “he’s our quarterback for the future & will work w/him in the off-season”. The Bills were shredded by Reggie Bush & the Dolphins @ home in the snow. Denver is still looking to clinch the AFC West since it still looks wide open. The Broncos are a fg road fave.

Playmaker: Tebow losing before X-Mas? C’mon son. Take the Broncos & the points.

Noez:

Randy:

Tampa Bay vs Carolina- The Panthers get the Bucs this week . They won the 1st match-up in Tampa. Cam Newton is like 100 something yds away from breaking Marino’s rookie record for passing yards in a season. The Bucs were manhandled @ home by the Cowboys. Both teams are playing for pride, however, the Panthers are looking to finish ahead of Tampa in the NFC south. The Panthers are 7.5 home faves.

Playmaker: Killa Cam & the Panthers getting on their level. Take the Panthers & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy:

Arizona vs Cincinnati- Both teams are coming off wins. The Cards coming from behind to beat my Browns in OT & are 4-0 in overtime, while making their overall record 7-7 while the Bengals gave the Rams the business & still in the hunt for the wild card. A.J. Green will probably play this week after suffering a mild shoulder sprain. The Cards are also alive for a wild card spot, but it’ll probably be too little too late since Atlanta & Detroit control their wild card destiny. The Bengals are 4 pt home faves.

Playmaker: I know the Cards are coming in hot, but I think Dalton, Green, Benson, & the Bengals knows what’s @ stake here. Take the Bengals & take the under.

Noez:

Randy:

Oakland vs Kansas City- Romeo Crennel picked a great opponent to beat for his 1st win as Chiefs coach. How did he motivate that team to slow down that Packers’ offense, I don’t know, but they shocked the world. They still have a chance to win the AFC West because if all 4 teams in that division finish @ 8-8, the Chiefs win the tie-breaker. As for the Raiders, they just simply choked that game vs Detroit. How they let Megatron go off on them. I ask all my Raiders’ fans when McFadden’s going to return, they say next week of I don’t know. Last time these two teams played, it was the week when they signed Carson Palmer, lost McFadden in that game & Palmer & Kyle Boller combined to throw 6 ints as the Chiefs shut them out in the Black hole. The Chiefs are 1.5 home faves.

Playmaker- The game’s in Arrowhead & can the Chiefs carry that momentum? We’ll see. I like the Chiefs & take the slight over

Noez:

Randy:

Miami vs New England- Both teams are coming off road wins. Brady & the Pats proved to Tebow & the Broncos that they are just the flavor of the month while Reggie Bush had a SC vs Fresno St. flashback when he had over 200 yds rushing & he’s only 72 yds away from having his 1st 1,000 yd season. If he gets that, he gets my vote for comeback player of the yr (take that KIM K). Last time these two teams played, Brady went off, passing for over 500 yds & Benny Sapp got cut for getting burned by Wes Welker on that 99 yd td pass. Bright spot of the Patriots win: in the words of Deion Sanders, “Chad got a ball” & scored. However, if you think that Pats’ defense was suspect now, then it gets worse now that Andre Carter’s done for the yr after tearing his quadriceps. The Pats are 9.5 home faves.

Playmaker: I know Bush’s looking for that 1K mark, but I can’t see them winning in New England. Take the Pats & the over.

Noez:

Randy:

N.Y. Giants vs N.Y. Jets- The battle of New York is here on X-mas eve. Both teams have to answer to their own city’s media after lackluster losses last week. The Giants laid an egg @ home to the Redskins after beating the Cowboys the week before while the Jets were just flat out popped in the mouth by the Eagles in Philly. Rex Ryan already giving the Giants bulletin board material by saying he wants the Jets to own the town as well as the league. All I know is whoever losses this game, they don’t want see the back of the Daily News or the NY Post the next day. The Jets are a fg fave.

Playmaker: This one is a tough one since I got my fam in Jamaica Queens, the homie Screws aka Mr Underdawg is a Giants fan & my “Havana girlfriend” loves her Jets. I got to take the Jets & take the cover because Rex’s gonna find a way to outcoach Coughlin, who’s always on the hot seat every yr.

Noez:

Randy:

St Louis vs Pittsburgh- The Steelers are asking questions after their loss on Monday night to the 49ers like “ why did we play Ben when he had a bad ankle & what was up w/ the power outages”. That loss made them 0-3 vs the Harbaugh brothers since Jim already swept them this yr. The Rams are just the Rams, hoping for the season, despite Steven Jackson playing his ass off every game. The Steelers are 16 pt home faves.

Playmaker: Take the Steelers & the over. Question will be if Ben’s ankle will heal up to let him move around in the pocket.

Noez:

Randy:

Jacksonville vs Tennessee- Both teams are coming off losses. The Jags made the Thursday night a snoozer by their performance vs the Falcons while the Titans let the Colts get their 1st win to avoid going 0-16. The only question for this game is if Locklear or Hasselback’s going to start this game. Also, don’t forget about the running back match-up between Chris Johnson & Maurice Jones Drew. The Titans are a td fave @ home. The Jags won the 1st match-up in their house.

Playmaker: I like the Titans & take the cover.

Noez:

Randy:

Minnesota vs Washington- The Redskins are flying high after popping the Giants’ ballon last week & get to face the Vikings. The Vikings are coming off getting carved up by Drew Brees & the Saints. Both of these teams had something in common: they both had Donovan McNabb as their starting qb. This game is for pride purposes. The Redskins are 6.5 home faves.

Playmaker: It may come to qb play. However, I’m going out on a limb & say the Vikings will pull the upset. Ponder should outplay “Sexy Rexy” & I hope Adrian Peterson goes H.A.M on them. Take the under.

Noez:

Randy:

San Diego vs Detroit- The Lions must be the Cardiac Kids this yr because they won their 4th game I think after trailing by more than 14 pts @ the half. Megatron going off on that Raiders secondary was amazing & how ironic it was it that N’Damique Suh , who was suspended for 2 games for stomping on a Packers lineman, block Sea Bass’ fg attempt. For the Chargers, it looks like their annual winter playoff push is about to happen again after their dominant performance vs the Ravens at home last week. The Lions control their own wild card destiny along w/ the Falcons while the Chargers need help along the way to steal the AFC West. The Lions are 2.5 home faves.

Playmaker: If Megatron ate up the Raiders’ secondary, imagine what he’ll do to the Chargers. I like the Lions & take the slight over.

Noez:

Randy:

Philadelphia vs Dallas- Don’t look now, but the Eagles are still alive for the play-off races & they can actually win the NFC East if they win all out & the Cowboys & Giants have brain farts. If one team can do it, I think they can. They looked impressive vs the Jets last week & Shady McCoy’s playing like a MVP candidate w/ his 20 tds this season. The Cowboys looked nice vs Tampa, but remember it’s still December & Romo struggles this month. The Eagles won the 1st match-up in the Linc. However, the Cowboys are 1.5 home faves.

Playmaker- It’s still December & Romo still can’t shake that monkey & the Eagles are looking like they’re clicking again. I like the EAGLES to win & take the over. (See the all caps on the Eagles Letty Bear. Bark on that)

Noez:

Randy:

San Francisco vs Seattle- All I got to say is this: the 49ers are the most disrespected 11-3 team I’ve seen. They beat the Steelers on Monday night in front of a national audience, but can’t get respect because the Steelers didn’t have Rothesberger at full strength & James Harrison was suspended for going helmet to helmet on Colt McCoy. A win is a win. As for the Seahawks, they are on a roll & they just smacked the Bears’ in the mouth. Marshawn Lynch’s still scoring tds & eating skittles. The 49ers won the 1st match-up in the Stick & can win the 1st round bye w/ a win & the Saints’ losing their game. The 49ers are 2 pt faves.

Playmaker: I’m sipping on that 49ers’ kool-aid. Plus, Harbaugh always have Pete Carroll’s number whether it’s college or the pros. Take the 49ers & the points

Noez:

Randy:

Sunday

Chicago vs Green Bay- The undefeated season died for the Packers last week & it sorta hurt Aaron Rodgers a little. However, they still have to clinch homefield advantage throughout the playoffs w/ a win this week. The Bears aren’t the same team since both Cutler & Forte got hurt. Last week, Hanie played so bad that Josh McKown may get the start this game. How ironic is it that the Bears & Packers are the only teams to play on X-Mas day & the NBA starts the same day. The Packers won the 1st match-up @ Soilder Field. There was no spread this week.

Playmaker: I hope Obama keeps his eyes on that Bulls game because there is no way the Bears are going to win this game in Lambeau. The Packers will be pissed & take it out on them.

Noez:

Randy:

Monday

Atlanta vs New Orleans- What a way to end the Monday Night schedule for this yr as these two NFC South rivals face each other in the rematch. The Saints won the 1st match-up in the A in OT, but the story of that game was Mike Smith’s play calling for going for it on 4th down in their own territory in OT. However, the Falcons looked impressive in their game vs the Jags while the Saints were clicking on cylinders as usual as Brees is giving Aaron Rodgers a run for the MVP & is also closing in on surpassing Marino’s single season passing yards record. I can’t wait for this game. Question for the Falcons, which Falcons team would show up, the one who likes to pound the ball w/ Michael Turner or the one when Matty Ice airs it to Roddy White, Julio Jones, & Tony Gonzalez? The Saints are 6.5 home faves

Playmaker: If there was any team that could beat the Saints in their own house, I say the Falcons along w/ the Packers. Time to get payback Matty Ice. I like the Falcons to win & cover the spread as well

Noez:

Randy:

With all the upsets last week, the results for NW radio picks were crazy. Yours truly & Noez finished w/ 8-8 while Randy had a 6-10 record. Happy b-day shoutouts to Woodstock (can’t wait to go fishing on Saturday, despite missing football lol), the homie DJ Deck a Rec, Christy Kae, Anthony Araya, Sandra Macedo Soto, Inez Garcia, Kristina Antuna, Jennifer Fernandez & my girl Jasmine Lauren Orozoco. Til then, everyone out have a safe X-mas & for the NBA X-mas games, go Knicks, Mavs, Lakers, Thunder & Lob City. Peace

Week 15 picks!!

Posted: December 15, 2011 by djplaymaker in NFL

What a week we had in the NFL! We still have the Packers still undefeated, the Texans clinching their 1st ever play-off appearance w/ a come from behind win in Cincy, Todd Haley & Tony Sparino losing their jobs, another Tebow miracle, another Dallas choke-job & James Harrison being suspended for a helmet- to- helmet hit on Colt McCoy while Holgremn admitting to the press that the Browns didn’t test him in that game for concussion like symptons. I wonder what we have for week 15. Remember, 3 more weeks til the real season begins.

Thursday

Jacksonville vs Atlanta- The Falcons are still in the wild card race. They had to come back from 14 down to beat the Panthers on the road. In that game, both Roddy White & Julio Jones scored & Matt Ryan threw for 4 tds. For the Jags, they’re playing for pride & hoping that new ownership doesn’t move them out of Jacksonville, even though their fans don’t show up. The Falcons are 12 pt home faves.

Playmaker: Take the Falcons & the over

Noez:

Randy:

Saturday

Dallas vs Tampa Bay- The Cowboys are coming into this game scratching their heads after another loss, this time to their divisional rival the Giants. They were up by 14 w/ 5 mins to go & the defense let Eli come back on them. It was also bad enough that they lost Demarco Murrary after he fractured his ankle. To make matters worse, they already put Jason Garrett on the hot seat. As for the Bucs, they, along w/ Josh Freeman are a big disappointment this season. Time to regroup for next season. The Cowboys are a td road fave.

Playmaker: It’s still December & Romo’s doesn’t do well in this month. Something tells me to take the Bucs & cover the spread. (I still love you Letty bear)

Noez:

Randy:

Sunday

Miami vs Buffalo- Both teams are coming off losses, however one coach got fired for his loss. In my opinion, they should had waited to fire Sparino after the season if they didn’t like the results. However, I give them credit for going 4-1 after starting off 0-7. The Bills had the injury bug hit them & since Ryan Fitzpatrick got his extension, he hasn’t been the same. The Dolphins won the 1st match-up in South Beach, now the rematch is in Buffalo & there is no spread for this game.

Playmaker: Depends on the weather, but I still like the Dolphins to win the game.

Noez:

Randy:

Seattle vs Chicago- The Bears have fallen out the play-off race after being Tebowed last week in Denver. They were up 10-0 & dominating the game defensively for 3 qtrs til it happened. Plus, it hurts that Marion Barber made two bonehead decisions (going out of bounds in the 4th qtr instead of letting the clock run & getting stripped in ot). The Seahawks have been hot lately, especially Marshawn “Skittles” Lynch, who has gone into beast mode. They are still in the hunt for the wild card race believe or not. The Bears are 3.5 home faves.

Playmaker: They haven’t been the same since Cutler & Forte went down. I like the Seahawks & take the cover

Noez:

Randy:

Carolina vs Houston- 1st of all, congrats to the Texans for clinching the AFC Sotuh & doing it w/ T.J Yates as your starting qb. Nice come from behind win in Cincy to prove the city & the league. The Panthers are still young & Cam Newton has put up impressive stats, but the defense has hurt the team. The Texans could rest players, but they have 10 wins as well as New England & Baltimore & are fighting for homefield for at least 1 playoff game. The Texans are 6 pt faves.

Playmaker: I like the Texans to carry the momentum. Take them & the cover also

Noez:

Randy:

Tennessee vs Indianapolis- Poor Jake Locklear. He could had been a hero if they could gotten that touchdown to defeat the Saints. He did a hell of a job relieving Hasselback when he aggravated a cramp in his leg though. The Colts are still winless, but got Peyton Manning to throw footballs for the 1st time in a while. If he comes back & play at least 1 of the last 3 games, he’s doing himself a disservice. The Titans are a touchdown road fave.

Playmaker: If Locklear struggles, just hand the rock to Chris Johnson. Titans & take the spread.

Noez:

Randy: Titans

Green Bay vs Kansas City- The Packers look impressive last week vs the Raiders, but took a blow when Greg Jennings hurt his knee. It probably doesn’t matter because they are deep in wr & they are looking to run the table, even though Aaron Rodgers says McCarthy may rest some players after they clinch homefield advantage. As for the Chiefs, the only thing they have to talk about is Romeo Crennel taking over for Todd Haley after they fired him & Kyle Orton starting for this game. The Packers are 13 pt road faves.

Playmaker: Take the Pack & the over

Noez:

Randy:

New Orleans vs Minnesota – The Saints can clinch the NFC South w/ a win this week over the Vikings. They are also competing w/ the 49ers for the 2nd seed in the NFC. The Vikings were robbed by the officials not calling a blatant facemask on the final play of the game in Detroit. Only bright spots for the Vikings are Joe Webb almost leading a comeback after relieving a struggling Christian Ponder, Percy Harvin balling out of control & Leslie Frazier getting a vote of confidence for return next yr. The Saints are 6.5 road faves.

Playmaker: I like the Saints & the over.

Noez:

Randy:

Washington vs N.Y. Giants- The Giants are riding high after that come from behind win in Dallas. Like they say, you can’t say elite w/out saying Eli. He’s starting to be up there w/ the echelon qb’s of the league. As for the Redskins, they gave the Pats a run for their money. It had to take a Rex Grossman int to deny the dream of upsetting the Pats. The Giants control their own destiny in the NFC East. Win out & the division is theirs. The Giants are 6.5 home faves.

Playmaker: I like the Giants & take the over. However, I hope this isn’t a trap game for them because they got the Jets next week.

Noez:

Randy:

Cincinnati vs St. Louis- The Bengals are wondering what the hell happened to them on the final play of the game as the Texans. That loss alone moved the Jets passed them in the wild card race. They still have hope, but they need help. As for the Rams, there’s aways next yr. The Bengals are 6 pt road faves.

Playmaker: The Bengals & the over.

Noez:

Randy:

Detroit vs Oakland- The Raiders are returning to the Black Hole after getting boots to asses to them by the Packers. Carson Palmer had his 3rd game of 3 ints in a game & is closing in on Phillip Rivers & Josh Freeman for most ints thrown this yr. The Lions are coming off a close win vs the Vikings & will be motivated by the return of N’Damokung Suh, who was suspended for 2 games after his stomp on a Packers lineman. Both teams are in the playoff, the Lions for the wild card & the Raiders for the AFC west title. The Lions are a 1 pt road fave.

Playmaker: I like the Lions to win & take the slight under.

Noez:

Randy:

Cleveland vs Arizona- My Browns are coming a 14-3 loss to the Steelers. I give them credit for staying close w/ them. However, everything changed when McCoy got laid out by Harrison & the staff was dumb enough to throw him back in the game when he has a concussion. As for the Cardinals, they surprised the 49ers last week & along w/ the Seahawks a game under .500. The Cards are a td home fave.

Playmaker: I like my Browns to win & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy:

New England vs Denver- Both teams are coming off wins, but the Broncos are the media darlings coming into this game. Tebow vs Brady. Tebow’s 7-1 since he took over for Orton, We know he’s not your typical quarterback, but he wins games, yet when they ask Fox or Elway is he the long term answer, they won’t say. For the Patroits, they still dominate & win, but their defense is still suspect & the highlight of the game last week was when Brady got into a shouting match w/ his qb coach after throwing a int. I bet you Brady doesn’t care that Tebow’s getting more attention than him, The Pats are a 6 pt road fave.

Playmaker: This is the week Tebow-mania goes down Take the Pats & the points

Noez:

Randy:

N.Y. Jets vs Philadelphia- The Jets are back in the wild card race after their performance @ home vs the Chiefs. Mark Sanchez had 4 tds total (2 rushing & 2 passing). I think he was getting tired of the N.Y. media getting on his back about his performance. The Eagles got back to their winning ways in South Beach, but it took Michael Vick to come back to regain their identity. I know the Eagles want to finish strong, but the Jets have something to play for. The Eagles are a fg fave @ home.

Playmaker: If the Eagles had a winning record & playing for something, then my pick’s on them. However, it’s gonna be close & I like the Jets to sneak out of Philly w/ a close win & take the points. Xoxoxo to my Havana gf!!

Noez:

Randy:

Baltimore vs San Diego- The Ravens are in the competition for the best record in the AFC. They dominated the winless Colts last week & should clinch the AFC north w/ a win & a Steelers loss. The Chargers have won 2 straight, but it may be too little, too late to make their annual last push for the AFC West title. It’s gonna be a great game for the Sunday night viewers & Ray Lewis will make his return that game. The Ravens are 2.5 road faves.

Playmaker: Take the Ravens & the points.

Noez:

Randy:

Monday

Pittsburgh vs San Francisco- Monday night’s game is gonna be better than last Monday’s game I’ll tell you that. The Steelers are coming a 14-3 win over my Browns, but might have questions. They know that James Harrison got suspended for this game, yet he’s appealing it (don’t waste your time doing that) & Ben Roethesberger still has that high ankle sprain. For the 49ers, they were surprised in Arizona & they don’t know if Patrick Willis is gonna play this game. Both teams have a hell of a defense. This will be a smash mouth game. No spread for this game.

Playmaker: I like the 49ers to be ready for prime time

Noez:

Randy:

Last week, yours truly & Randy were tied w/ 12-4 while Noez finished w/ 9-7. Let’s see if Randy can continue his Tebow like magic for his picks. Happy b-day shoutouts to Omni Chang, Christina Henshall, Edwin Cano, Lydia Avila, Elidio Avila, Diego Abraham (keep doing your thang on the photography tip), Stacy Ciesa, Nitanna Villasenor, Monica Villar Cruz, Rosemary Prieto & Vanessa Alva. Good luck to my fantasy football team as the play-offs start for them & Clipper Nation, be glad that you got CP3, but don’t be hating on Laker Nation when Dwight Howard aka Superman arrives. Til then, I’m gone.

Week 14 picks!!

Posted: December 7, 2011 by djplaymaker in NFL

Only 4 more games left til the real party begins! So far, this season has been exciting & surprising. Last week, we saw Aaron Rodgers lead the Packers to a thrilling last second win to remain perfect & clinch the NFC North. Speaking of clinching divisions, congrats to the 49ers for winning the NFC west. Tebow worked his magic again for the Broncos, & the Bears got the injury bug again, this time it caught Matt Forte. Oh yeah, last week Donovan McNabb was granted his release from the Vikings & he cleared waivers by no one picking him up. I wonder what we got planned for this week. Before I start, one love to my “lil sis” Dez Claiborne as she & her husband Chris welcomed Ms Payton Rae into the world. Congrats to ya & love ya’ll

Thursday

Cleveland vs Pittsburgh- The most hated rivalry of my childhood kicks off this week’s games on Thursday. The Steelers are coming off a impressive win over the Bengals while my Browns were popped in the mouth by the Ravens, especially Ray Rice as he ran for 208 yds rushing. I know they like to say to throw out the records whenever these two teams play, however the Steelers have had our number. Our problem is we can’t stop the run & we’re offensively challenged. Add too many dropped passes (we don’t have Braylon Edwards anymore people) The Steelers are 13 pt home faves.

Playmaker: You already know where I’m going w/ this. We’ve beaten them before on a Thursday night. Anything can happen. I like the Browns & the under

Noez:

Randy:

Sunday

Indianapolis vs Baltimore- The Ravens are coming off of destroying my Browns while the Colts made it close of an embarrassing loss to the Patriots. However, they might have Peyton Manning back sometime this season. Like I said last week, why come back when you have nothing to play for. Besides, the division’s Houston to lose. The Ravens are 16 pt home faves.

Playmaker: I like the Ravens to win & take the over

Noez:

Randy:

Kansas City vs N.Y. Jets- The Chiefs came out lucky in Chi-town to get a win. It sure helps that Matt Forte sprains his MCL in the same game. The Jets had a dog hill fight w/ the Redskins before laying the hammer on them. Sanchez played his best game that day by not getting sacked & having no ints. Shone Greene also stepped up that game. Now, they are competing w/ the Titans, Raiders, & Bengals for the final wild card spot. They need help & also to handle their own business to make it happen. The Jets are 9 pt home faves.

Playmaker: Rex’s playoff push starts right now. Take the Jets & cover the spread. What up Havana gf!!

Noez:

Randy:

New Orleans vs Tennessee- The Titans are still in the hunt for the wild card after an impressive win in Buffalo & don’t look now, but Chris Johnson’s starting to get his swagger back. The Saints are coming off a great & hard fought win @ home vs the Lions. Brees would in the discussion for MVP if Aaron Rodgers weren’t putting up impressive numbers. The Saints are probably along w/ the 49ers a legitmate threat to the Packers hope of coming out the NFC for the super bowl. Both teams need a win to add momentum in their playoff pushes. The Saints are 3.5 road faves.

Playmaker- I know the Titans are @ home, but Brees has too many weapons. I like the Saints & take the over.

Noez:

Randy:

Minnesota vs Detroit- Both teams are coming off tough losses. The Lions were overpowered by the Saints & the Vikings were Tebowed in the final seconds @ home. This is the 2nd match-up & the Lions won the 1st match-up in ot in Minnesota. That time, the Vikings had McNabb as their quarterback, now it’s Ponder’s turn. Bright spot for the Lions is they got one more game til Suh returns. There was no spread for this game.

Playmaker: I like the Lions to win this one

Noez:

Randy:

Houston vs Cincinnatti- The Texans beat the Falcons w/ Yates steppin as starter while the Bengals got swept by the Steelers in the head- to-head match-up. As long as they have Foster & Tate to complement Yates, everything’s okay, even w/ Andre Johnson pulling his hammy again & is day to day. The Bengals are in a dog fight for the wild card w/ 3 other teams & I wonder if Dalton & Green are built for the pressure of postseason. The Bengals are a fg home fave.

Playmaker: I like the Texans to come into the ‘Natti & steal this game. Cover the spread as well

Noez:

Randy:

Tampa Bay vs Jacksonville- The battle of Florida. Both teams are coming off losses. Tampa was shown up by Cam Newton & the Panthers on throwback jersey day while the Jags weren’t ready for prime time on Monday night vs the Chargers. It was bad enough that it was the 1st game for them since they sold the team & fired Jack Del Rio. Both teams aren’t going no where. Nothing’s to talk about here. No spread here.

Playmaker: I like Tampa to steal this one on the road

Noez:

Randy:

Atlanta vs Carolina- The Falcons are coming off a road loss in Houston while Cam Newton put his name in the record books last week in their win vs Tampa Bay. He has 13 rushing tds, surpassing Steve Grogan for most rushing tds for a quarterback in a season or rookie yr I think. Last time these two teams faced each other, Newton had a game he wished he can forget. He threw 3 ints that game. The Falcons are competing w/ the Saints for the NFC South title as well as a wild card spot. The Falcons are a fg road faves.

Playmaker: I like the Falcons to win & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Philadelphia vs Miami- The Eagles are coming off an embarrassing performance in Seattle where Marshawn Lynch put the team on his back & Vince Young threw 4 ints in the game & Desean Jackson had another meltdown on the field & off the field as well. The Dolphins are playing inspired ball since they started off 0-7. They gave the Raiders the business last week @ home. Only bright spot for the Eagles is that Michael Vick is returning for this game. Does it matter now. The Dolphins are a fg home fave.

Playmaker: The Eagles are done. I like the Dolphins to win & take the over

Noez:

Randy:

New England vs Washington: The Pats laid the wood on the Colts, even though the score was very close while the Redskins were in a dogfight w/ the Jets til the roof caved in on them. The Pats are fighting for home field advantage w/ 3 teams in the AFC. The Redskins are fighting to stay out of last place w/ the Eagles in the NFC East. The Pats are a td road fave.

Playmaker: I like the Pats to win & take the over.

Noez:

Randy:

San Francisco vs Arizona- The 49ers clinched the NFC west w/ their win over the Rams & now they head into Arizona to face the Cardinals, who defeated the Cowboys in ot. Patrick Willis injured his hammy & will miss some time. I wouldn’t have no problem w/ that since all they want to do is secure home field & the 2nd seed in the NFC since the Packers probably won’t be losing sometime soon. The Cardinals are just playing for pride. The Niners are a fg road fave.

Playmaker: No letdowns. I take the Niners & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Chicago vs Denver- The Bears are 0-2 since Cutler broke his thumb & their offense got thin when Forte sprained his MCL & he doesn’t know when he’s going to return. The Broncos are America’s story for the time as they are 6-1 since Tebow took over as starter. W/ them winning last week & the Raiders losing in South Beach, the whole AFC West is a clusterfuck. Both teams are tied for 1st. For the Bears, I don’t know why Lovie Smith said they won’t go outside of free agency or the waiver wires for help @ qb. McNabb’s still out there, but Devin Hester says it’ll be a waste of time. They need help fast if they still want to make the playoffs. The Broncos are a fg home fave.

Playmaker: Prepare to get Tebowed Chi-town. Take the Broncos & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Buffalo vs San Diego- The Chargers ended their 6 game losing streak w/ an explosive showing on Monday night in Jacksonville while the Bills were taken out by the Titans last week. With the AFC west being so confused, the Bolts can run the table & maybe steal the division. You may never know, but it won’t save Norv Turner & A.J. Smith’s job after the season. The Chargers are a td home fave.

Playmaker: Take the Bolts & the over

Noez:

Randy:

Oakland vs Green Bay- You already know the situation here. The Packers are in the pursuit for perfection & every game is crucial . They needed a last min drive in under a min to defeat the Giants. The Raiders thought they were on a vacation in South Beach & the Dolphins just handed to them. The Packers already clinched the NFC north, next thing for them to achieve is the top seed in the NFC. The Raiders are in a divisional battle w/ the Broncos in the AFC West. The Packers are a 11 pt home fave.

Playmaker: For my Raider fans, I got love for ya’ll, but I can’t see ya stealing that game in Lambeau Field. Take the Packers & the under

Noez;

Randy;

N.Y. Giants vs Dallas- The NFC East battle for 1st place takes place in big D on the Sunday night showcase. Both teams are coming off losses, however the G-Man were impressive in theirs, giving the Packers all they can handle. As for the Cowboys, Jason Garett has been ridiculed this whole week for icing his own kicker in regulation & them losing in overtime in Arizona. Plus, Tony Romo, despite his great performance, has a love/hate relationship in December w/ a 8-13 record. This is the 1st match-up for them, the last one is to close out the season. The Cowboys are a fg home fave.

Playmaker: I like Eli over Romo. Take the G-Man & cover the spread, (still got love for you Letty bear)

Noez:

Randy:

Monday

St. Louis vs Seattle- The Rams were shut out in the Bay Area while the Seahawks, mostly Marshawn Lynch put the team on his back & dominated an Eagles team who was out of sync offensively & defensively. Don’t look now, but Pete Carroll got his boys back in the playoff hunt. Too little, too late. It’s a divisional battle, so throw the records out the window. No spread here.

Playmaker: I like the Seahawks since the 12th man is contagious

Noez:

Randy:

Last week, rookie Randy was the big dawg w/ his 10-6 record, followed by Noez w/ 9-7 & yours truly rounded it out w/ a 7-9 record. Anything can change next week. Happy b-day shoutouts to Manuel Fierros, my kinfolk Garnetta Dansby, Rosie Godinez, Jonathan Holguin, Kevin Dotson, Jermiah Marks, Valerie Rodriguez, Veronica Hernandez, Jennifer Herman, Marissa Avendano, Louie Vasich, Esmeralda Rodriguez, Catherine Maya, & Salina Rivera. 3 more weeks til the NBA returns. Get ready ya. Once again, one love to Payton Rae Claiborne. Peace, I’m out!!

Week 13 picks! Lucky 13

Posted: December 1, 2011 by djplaymaker in NFL

How did everyone enjoyed their thanksgiving? I had a decent one. It was okay. I know the NFL had a great thanksgiving. We saw the Packers continue their run for perfection, despite N’Daminquh Suh getting ejected & now being suspended for 2 games, the Ravens & 49ers playing a defensive battle, the Chargers getting Tebowed, Stevie Johnson td’s celebration & the Giants looking like they bout to have another late season collapse. I wonder what’s in store for lucky week 13. Before I start, I got to say this: thank you NBA for saving Christmas this yr. Let’s preview shall we.

Thursday
Philadelphia vs Seattle- The Eagles were just popped in the mouth @ home on Sunday vs New England while the Seahawks had a tough home loss vs the Redskins. Once again, Vince Young gets the start & no Macklin for them again. Last time Vince Young played against a Pete Carroll coached team, he defeated him when the stakes were big in the BCS title game in ’06. The Seahawks won’t have Sidney Rice because of a concussion. The Eagles are 3 pt road faves.

Playmaker: I like the Eagles & the over

Noez:
Randy: Eagles

Sunday

Tennessee vs Buffalo- Hasselback lead the Titans to a comeback win vs Tampa Bay while Stevie Johnson’s td celebration bit him in the ass literally as he had two potential game-winning drops in the Bills’ loss to the Jets. It also cost him $10g’s in the pocket. What else is surprising for the Titans is that Chris Johnson is starting to getting his mojo back. The bright spot for the Bills last week was Ryan Fitzpatrick played mistake free ball, unlike his last 4 games after getting that contract extension. The Bills are 2.5 home faves.

Playmaker- No Fred Jackson, no chance. I like the Titans & take the small over

Noez:

Randy: Titans

Kansas City vs Chicago- The Chiefs played their hearts out in the loss vs the Steelers (Dwayne Bowe, I’m sorry, but you gave up on that play) while the Bears lost a close game in Oakland. Both teams don’t have their starting qbs, however a former Bear may be starting in Kyle Orton. I wonder what kind of reception would he get in the Windy City. If it’s Hanie vs Palko, it probably comes down to defense & special teams. The Bears are a td home fave.

Playmaker; Take the Bears & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy: Da Bears

Atlanta vs Houston- The Texans won their game, but lost another qb as Matt Leinart broke his collarbone & is done for the yr. They still have Yates, but signed Jake Delhomme as a back-up plan. The Falcons are coming off their dominating win over the Vikings & are slowly putting themselves back in the hunt for the wild card. Both team are run friendly, so expect a lot of Foster &Tate for the Texans & Turner for the Falcons. A good match-up though. The Falcons are a fg road fave.

Playmaker: I like the Falcons to win & cover

Noez:

Randy: Falcons

Oakland vs Miami- The Raiders take their talents to South Beach (damnit Lebron) after the 5 pt win vs the Bears @ home. The Dolphins played their hearts out on thanksgiving, but still lost to the Cowboys by a fg. Bright spot for the Dolphins that day was Matt Moore & Brandon Marshall. Reggie Bush has come along as of late. Only question that pops in my mind for the Raiders is when will McFadden will return. The Dolphins are a fg fave @ home.

Playmaker: I like the Silver & black to win & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy: Raiders

Denver vs Minnesota- The Tebow express rides into Minnesota after another victory & they are 5-1 since Tebow was promoted to starter. It’s ugly, but he’s a winner. It made Elway even retract his statements about him. The Vikings are coming off a loss in Atlanta w/out Peterson. I wonder will he play this week. The Vikings are 1 pt home faves.

Playmaker- Prepare for the Vikings to get Tebowed. I like the Broncos & the over

Noez:

Randy: Broncos

Indianapolis vs New England- The Pats are starting to click on all cylinders & it continued last week vs the Eagles. Tom Brady passing for over 340 yds & Wes Welker rebounding from a small dismal game vs Kansas City. The Colts still are winless, however they were making news this week as Peyton Manning was getting his neck revaluated this week as they were hoping for him to return this month. Why come back when they have nothing to play for. The Pats are 20 pt home faves.

Playmaker- Take the Pats & over

Noez:

Randy: Pats

Cincinnati vs Pittsbugh- The red head Andy Dalton lead the Bengals to a comeback win vs my Browns while the Steeler had an ugly win vs Kansas City on Sunday night. Last time these two played, the Steelers caused Dalton to throw 2 ints & they lost. A.J. Green also hurt himself in that match-up. The Steelers will have Polamalu this week after suffering concussion like symptons in Kansas City. The Steelers are 6.5 home faves.

Playmaker: I’m taking the Bengals & the under. Cuz my hatred over the Wack & yellow

Noez:

Randy: Steeler

Carolina vs Tampa Bay- The Panther, especially Cam Newton & Deangelo Williams ran shots on the Colts last week while the Bucs had a heartbreaking loss in Tennessee. It’s a battle of young quarterbacks, that’s one reason to watch this. Another is to watch to see if Legarette Blount hurdles another defender. It’s an NFC South battle, so expect a low scoring game. The Bucs are a fg fave @ home.

Playmaker: I love Cam because he’s on my f.f team, but I gotta roll w/
Tampa & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy: Bucs

N.Y. Jets vs Washington- The Jets, especially Mark Sanchez rebounded from getting Tebowed w/ a come back win @ home vs the Bills. Sanchez threw 4 tds & Plaxico Bureess responded to Stevie Johnson mocking him in a major way. The Redskins went into Seattle & defeated the Seachickens. The Jets still have an opportunity for the wild card, but needs some help. The Jets are a fg road fave.

Playamker: You know who I’m going for as long I got love from my Havana gf. Take the over also

Noez:

Randy: Jets

Baltimore vs Cleveland- The Old Browns head into C-town to face the new Browns. The Ravens played a defensive battle in their win in the Harbaugh bowl while my Browns can’t hold a 17-7 halftime lead in Cincy, lose the game & Fujita’s out for the rest of the yr. Greg Little dropping passes made it worst. Only bright spot was Peyton Hillis returning & had 62 yds in 17 carries. I guess he smells his farewell tour coming soon. The Ravens are 6.5 road faves.

Playmaker- If the point spread is that low, I’ll take it. I like the Browns & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy: Ravens

Dallas vs Arizona- The Cowboys survived their thanksgiving match-up against the Dolphins w/ a field goal win. The Cards surprised the Rams in St. Louis as Patrick Peterson took another one to the house. Cowboy fans take note of this: Romo’s Mr. November, but when December hits, it’s not his best friend. That’s when he starts to struggle again. I know the Cards have nothing to play for, but they play teams tough @ home. The Cowboys are 4.5 road faves.

Playmaker: I take the Cowboys & the under because I can’t trust Romo to go H.A.M on them. (here’s another happy smile for you Letty Bear)

Noez:

Randy: Cowboys

Green Bay vs N.Y. Giants- The Packers head into the big apple still undefeated after their thanksgiving win vs the Lions. Aaron Rodgers playing like he wants the MVP to add to another title. The Giants were just smacked in the mouth bu the Saints on Mionday (some homecoming comeback Eli). I know that one more Packer win, they clinch the NFC North & Charles Woodson has cut down on the “run the table” table. I think they have a chance to piss off the ’72 Dolphins. The Packers are a td road fave.

Playmaker: I was gonna choose the G-Man for the upset til I saw them on Monday. I like the Packers & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy: Packers

St. Louis vs San Francisco- The Rams were embarrassed by the Cards, especially Patrick Peterson @ home while the 49ers played a hell of a game in the Harbaugh bowl, but came out on the losing end. I saw the sound fx edition of that game on NFL network & man, they had the breaks that usually go their way didn’t work out for them. At least, they still can control their destiny for the 2nd seed for the NFC. One more win & they clinch the NFC West. The 49ers are 13 pt home faves.

Playmaker: Take the 49ers & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy: 49ers

Detroit vs New Orleans- The Lions lost two things on thanksgiving: the game & Suh getting kicked out for stomping on a Packers lineman. He’s gonna be suspended for 2 games, but wants to appeal it. Why? He’s the K.G of the NFL because of his antics. The Saints are flying high after Monday night. Brees looked nice, except for that attempt to slam dunk the goal post after his rushing td. It looks like a offensive explosion w/ Brees vs Stafford, I wonder if the Lions defense can respond to no Suh & being on the road. The Saints are 9 pt home faves.

Playmaker: I like the Saints & take the under

Noez:

Randy: Saints

Monday

San Diego vs Jacksonville- Both teams are in disarray. The Chargers were the next team to get Tebowed last Sunday & they are on a 6 game losing streak. Rivers has played horrible & it looks like bye bye Norv after the season. The Jags lost last week, fired Del Rio & sold the team. It looks like the Jags are going be on the move. Could it be L.A? We’ll see. Somebody has to win the game. The Jags are 2.5 home faves.

Playamker: I like the Chargers & the over. They still have an offense

Noez:

Randy: Cahrgers

Last week, Randy was the top dawg w/ a 12-4 record while Noez finished in 2nd w/ 10-6 while I closed it w/ an 8-8 record. I hope I get the luck this week. Happy b-day shout-outs to Brianna Ortiz, Patrick Martinez, Howard Moore, my girl Tanya Ramos & Jamie Duchesneau! I got Cotto to avenge his loss this Saturday. Til then people, I’m out. Peace!!

Week 12 picks!!

Posted: November 23, 2011 by djplaymaker in NFL

How’s my sports fans doing out there! I hope it was good. Last week, we saw the Jets getting Tebowed, The Packers having a hard time in their win vs the Bucs, a shootout in Detroit, Cutler breaks his thumb in the Bears’ win, Vince Young winning for the Eagles & Orton getting released by the Broncos. I wonder what we have for this thanksgiving weekend as we have 3 games starting this week. Let’s break them down shall we.

Thursday

Green Bay vs Detroit- For the 1st time since the Barry Sanders era, the Lions thanksgiving game is worth watching this yr. They are coming a shootout comeback win @ home vs Cam Newton & the Panthers. The Packers stayed undefeated w/ a home win vs Tampa Bay. They had their hands full that game & they will also this game. The Lions defense was built for this game. One of the exciting games for thanksgiving. The Packers are 6 pt road faves.

Playmaker: I’m taking the upset. Something tells me the Lions are going to make the ’72 Dolphins proud. I take the over in this game.

Noez:

Randy:

Miami vs Dallas- Break up the Dolphins. They have won 3 straight after losing the 1st 7 games. They gave the Bills the business in South Beach. As for the Cowboys, they are tied for 1st w/ the Giants in the NFC east after they won in overtime vs the Redskins & the Eagles did them a favor in New York. I pretty much don’t care about the Cowboys’ game this yr. However, you may never know. The Cowboys are a touchdown fave @ home.

Playmaker: I take the Cowboys & the under (happy thanksgiving Letty Bear)

Noez:

Randy:

San Francisco vs Baltimore- The Harbaugh bowl. It’s going down in B-more. The 49ers are 9-1 after the win vs the Cardinals. The Ravens come in @ 7-3 after brushing off the Bengasl w/ out Ray Lewis. Lewis says he wants to play this game. I guess he doesn’t want Patrick Willis to outshine his ass. This is the main event of the night. The 49ers need more respect from the media & not haters like Colin Cowheard of ESPN hating on them. The Ravens are a fg home fave.

Playmaker: I’m sipping on the 49ers kool-aid. I take them & cover the spread.

Noez:

Randy:

Sunday

Minnesota vs Atlanta- Adrian Peterson having a high ankle sprain hurt them last week in their loss vs the Raiders while the Falcons had to hold off a late Titans comeback by Jake Locklear to win their game. I think Peterson’s not going to play this game (why risk it @ 2-8). The Falcons are 9 pt home faves

Playmaker: I like the Dirty birds & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Cleveland vs Cincinnati- My Browns need a goaline stand to defeat the Jags last week while The Bengals gave the Ravens all they got, but still lost the game. I wonder if A.J. Green’s going to play this game since he didn’t play last week. Last time they played, The Bengals caught the Browns off guard for the 1st Dalton to Green connection for their game winning td. As for the Browns, I bet that Hillis won’t be playing this week (just cut him already). Chris O. has more heart than him & he worked for his 100 yds last week. The Bengals are 7.5 home faves.

Playmaker: We owe the Bengals. Payback is coming. I take us & the under

Noez:

Randy:

Carolina vs Indianapolis- The Colts are coming off the bye week while the Panthers had a shootout loss in the 313. I know it’s hard for the Colts for taking all these losses & it’s hurting Peyton Manning inside because he can’t help his team out. I know Freeney & Mathis will be spending a lot of time chasing Cam Newton. The Panthers are 3.5 road faves.

Playmaker: I take the Panthers & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Houston vs Jacksonville- The Texans are coming off the bye week & will be getting good news as Andre Johnson will be returning for this game. However, they will have Matt Leinart staring since Schaub’s done for the yr. The Jags blew an opportunity last week in Cleveland. Maurice Jones Drew & Mercedes Lewis are doing their best for this team to help out Gabbert, but they need more help. The Texans are 3.5 road faves

Playmaker: I like the Texans to win & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Buffalo vs N.Y. Jets- I wonder how the Jets are feeling after getting Tebowed in Denver. Rex getting fined for obsencities to the fans & pissed off Sanchez by giving Brunell some snaps w/ the 1st team. As for the Bills, they had their usual meltdown in South Beach & Fitzpatrick hasn’t been the same since he signed that contract. He should waited til the offseason to do that. Jets won the 1st contest in Orchad Park. Let’s see what both teams can do in Met Life Stadium. The Jets are 8 pt faves.

Playmaker: I gotta roll w/ the Havana gf’s team & take the under. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS

Noez:

Randy:

Arizona vs St. Louis- Both teams are coming off losses within the division. The Cards getting punked by the 49ers while the Rams were shocked by the Seahawks @ home. Ain’t that much to talk bout in this game since they are under .500. This game had no spread.

Playmaker: I take the Rams

Noez:

Randy:

Tampa Bay vs Tennessee- I think the Jake Locklear era will be starting this week since Hasselback got hurt last week. He almost led them to a comeback win in Atlanta. He looked good. The Bucs gave the Packers all they can handled. Freeman looked nice & Blount was ballin’. Both teams are coming off losses, so it’s anyone ball game this week. The Titans are a Bironas fave @ home.

Playmaker: I like the Bucs to win & cover the spread on the road

Noez:

Randy:

Chicago vs Oakland- Both teams are coming off wins, but the Bears are the ones looking like losers after Jay Cutler broke his thumb trying to make a tackle. He had surgery & will miss the rest of the regular season, however Lovie thinks he’ll be ready for the playoffs should they make it there. The Raiders had to survive a 4th qtr comeback from the Vikings to win on the road. The Raiders are 4-1 on the road, but 2-3 @ home. It’s gonna be a defensive battle in this game. The Raiders are 5 pt home faves.

Playmaker- Hanie’s gonna be running for his life & Forte’s gonna see a lot of 8 in the box. I like the Raiders to win & take the under.

Noez:

Randy:

Washington vs Seattle- The Redskins took the Cowboys to overtime, but still loss while The Seahawks took it to the Rams in their own house. Like the Rams/Cards game, ain’t that much to talk about in this one. The Seahawks are 3.5 home faves.

Playmaker: Even though I hate Pete Carroll, I take the Seahawks to win & cover because I like Tavaris Jackson in this match-up over Rex Grossman

Noez:

Randy:

New England vs Philadelphia- “The Black Tebow” Vince Young saved the Eagles’ season Sunday night w/ his game winning drive vs the Giants. They needed that win. The Pats just ran roughshod on the Chiefs on Monday night. I guess Young’s starting again this week since Vick’s ribs are still driving him crazy. The Pats’ defense have been stepping up lately since the media’s been scrutinizing them. There was no spread on this game.

Playmaker: For some reason, I think the Eagles can win this game. Those weapons if clicking, watch out!!

Noez:

Randy:

Denver vs San Diego- Who would had thought the Broncos have the better record coming into this match-up. They are 4-1 since Tebow was promoted to starter, yet he stil can’t get love from the media, John Fox, John Elway, & apparently Jake Plummer has a problem w/ him proclaiming his love for Jesus Christ. Hey Jake the Fake, stick to volleyball, you couldn’t get the job done for them. As for the Chargers, Phillip Rivers = struggling!! 16 ints? C’mon son. The Chargers are 6.5 home faves.

Playmaker- I want to pick the Chargers, but something tells me not to get Tebowed. So I take the Broncos to win & take the under

Noez:

Randy:

Pittsburgh vs Kansas City- The Steelers are coming off the bye week while the Chiefs wished they were on a bye week after their performance on Monday. Only storyline for this game is that Tyler Peko gets to play against his former team & he played @ Pitt while in college. The Steelers are 10.5 road faves

Playamker: Take the Steelers & the over

Noez:

Randy:

Monday

N.Y. Giants vs New Orleans- The Saints are coming off the bye week while the Giants demonstrated why they are Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde to me in the NFL. How can Eli Manning lose to Vince Young? The running game is suspect & Brandon Jacobs threw more fire on his ass to why the fans are booing him. At least Eli gets to go home & play in front of his family & friends. The Saints are a td fave @ home.

Playmaker: Something’s telling to pick the Giants. If Eli can beat Tom Brady in house, they what about beat Drew Brees in the Dome. Take the under also

Noez:

Randy:

Last week, yours truly & Noez were tied w/ 10-4 while Randy came in 3rd w/ 9-5. Happy b-day shout outs to my boy Memo, my girl Michelle Morales, Takisha Artis, Danielle Martin, my step brother’s son Kevin Grayson, Melina Arroyo, my favorite go- go dancer in the world Brianna Ortiz, Steve Ojeda, Christine Montes Tello, my mentors in this dj game Danny “D-Side” Anderson & Al “Plan B” Lopez (w/out them, there won’t be no Playmaker”) & my older bro Darryl Brewster. Since this is rivalry week in college football, go Bama, Ohio St & UCLA. Til then, see ya’ll next week. Peace!!

Week 11 picks!!

Posted: November 16, 2011 by djplaymaker in NFL

I know all my NFL fans enjoyed last week’s adventures. We still have the Packers still undefeated & the Colts still winless. However, we saw things like the 49ers getting a credible win vs the Giants, the injury bug hitting both Kansas City & Houston as both Schaub & Cassel done for the yr & Desean Jackson being benched for missing a special teams meeting. I hope this week has some more surprises. Before I start, I would to say that I was surprised about the Velasquez/ Dos Santos outcome. That was a quick fight & my thoughts of Pacman/Marquez 3: I had Pacman by decision, but I think it was a close fight & would say a 4th fight. Let’s get the picks started shall we.

Thursday

N.Y. Jets vs Denver- The Jets are coming off the beatdown they got @ home by the Pats. Mark Sanchez was pressured the whole night, being sacked 6 times (3 of them courtesy of Andre Carter) & threw 2 costly ints. New York media were either blaming him or Brian Schottenheimer for the loss. The Broncos came out w/ an upset win in Kansas City, making the afc west division wide. I know people, including myself are Tebow-bashing, but he’s 3-1 since being named the starter. Both qb’s are pretty much bashed a lot whether in the social or the media. It will come to which qb leads his team to points. The Jets are 4.5 road faves.

Playmaker: Me rooting for Tebow? C’MON SON!! I gotta ride w/ the Havana gf’s team. Jets & I take the under

Noez:

Randy:

Sunday

Tennessee vs Atlanta- The Titans are coming off an impressive win in Carolina in which Chris Johnson finally start to show signs that he was worth the money while the Falcons, especially Mike Smith are answering questions about questionable playcalling (going for it on 4th & inches in OT) in their home loss vs New Orleans. Both teams are still in the thick of things in their respective divisons. It’ll probably come down to which running back dominates their performance between Johnson & Michael Turner. The Falcons are 5.5 home faves.

Playmaker- I like the Falcons to bounce back from this loss. Take the under

Noez:

Randy: Titans

Cincinnati vs Baltimore- The Bengals failed the test to kick the Steelers after their Baltimore loss by letting the Steelers like they usually do while the Ravens had another post-Steelers win brain fart by losing in Seattle. I know that you don’t which Ravens are going to get week by week. This is their 1st match-up in the AFC north head to head this yr. The Ravens are 7 pt home faves

Playmaker- I like the Ravens @ home, however kinda nervous about this pick & spread. Cover the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Jacksonville vs Cleveland- The Jags are coming off a 7 pt win in Indy while my Browns found the stupidest way to lose a game when Alex Mack’s foot hits the ball, resulting in a bobbled snap & Phil Dawson missing a chipshot fg to win the game. Colt McCoy played a good game & Chris O. worked his way for yards, but Pat Shumur was very consertative w/ his playcalling, especially in the red zone. They were 0-4 in that area. I bet you that “Pussyboy” Hillis won’t play this game either. The Jags are 1 pt road faves.

Playmaker: We gotta win this game. Greg Little showed his potential last game & Chris O, McCoy & co showed more heart out there than Hillis. Take the over also.

Noez:

Randy:

Carolina vs Detroit- The Panthers were manhandled @ home vs the Titans while the Bears reminded the Lions why “they are who thought they were” by punking in every way they could. Strafford throwing 4 ints & suh popping off in the papers saying “we have his back when players attack him” like that Bears cornerback did. This will be an Auburn reunion for Nick Fairley & Cam Newton also. Expect a lot of excitement in this game. The Lions are touchdown faves at home.

Playmaker: I see Cam running for his life in this game. I like the Lions to win & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Tampa Bay vs Green Bay- The Packers are still flying high after their performance on Monday night vs the Vikings. Aaron Rodgers aka “The Real A-Rod” is playing like he wants another ring as well as the MVP award. The bucs were punked @ home vs the Texans. The Packers are 14.5 home faves.

Playmaker- I like the Packers, but I hope they don’t look ahead to the thanksgiving game vs Detroit, making this a trap game. Take the under for some reason

Noez:

Randy:

Buffalo vs Miami- The Dolphins are starting to find momentum after getting their 2nd win of the season vs the Redskins while the Bills were just punked in Dallas. Bright moment of that game was Schroder giving the ball to his girlfriend after he scored. This use to be my favorite AFC East match-up in the early 90’s. Like they say, divisional battles are very good, regardless the records of the teams. The Dolphins are 2 pt home faves.

Playmaker: This is a tough pick for me. I Know the Bills usually struggle whenever they are in Miami, however I’m taking my chances on them. I like the Bills to win & go over the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Oakland vs Minnesota- The Raiders continued their 2 yr dominance on the Chargers last week w/ their win while the Vikings pretty much didn’t show up in Green Bay, except for Jared Allen, who continued his dominance of sacking Aaron Rodgers. The Raiders won’t have McFadden again, so expect a lot of Michael bush along w/ Moore catching passes from Carson Palmer. Raider Nation are 1.5 faves on the Road.

Playmaker- I like the Raiders to win & go over the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Dallas vs Washington- The Cowboys, especially tony Romo just went H.A.M. on the Bills while the Redskins layed an egg in South Beach. No one knew that Rex Grossman was gonna start that game & throw 2 ints in that game. It’s a divisional battle & last time they met, it was on a Monday night & the Cowboys won that game, despite not scoring a td in that game. The Cowboys are 7.5 td road faves.

Playmaker: I like the Cowboys to win & cover the spread (I hope this put a smile on your face Letty Bear)

Noez:

Randy:

Seattle vs St. Louis- Both teams are coming off wins. The Rams went into Cleveland & Steven Jackson was playing like a beast while the seahawks were the next team to give the Ravens another Post- Steelers hangover by beating them. Marshawn Lynch pretty much put the team on his back. This is a divisional battle, so expect a lot from both teams. The Rams are 2 pt home faves.

Playmaker- I sense a Seahawks letdown after a big win. I take the Rams & the over

Noez:

Randy:

Arizona vs San Francisco- Question: Who’s 8-1? If you were living the San Francisco bay Area & thought that before the season start, the 49ers would have this record at this point, you’ll be lying to yourselves. However, Harbaugh has turned this team around & they proved to the league they deserve respect after putting the clamps on an Eli Manning comeback to beat the Giants. The Cards were the 5th team to come back to beat the Eagles when they had the lead in the 4th qtr. It’s a divisional battle, so expect a lot. I hope the 49ers don’t look ahead to the “Harbaugh Bowl” on thanksgiving to make this a trap game. The 49ers are 9.5 home faves.

Playmaker: I’m sipping on that Niners Kool-aid, however, like I said, don’t look ahead. 49ers to win & take the under

Noez:

Randy:

San Diego vs Chicago- The Bears popped the Lions in da mouth last week while Phillp Rivers & the Chargers had no answer for the Raiders last week. The only reason I’m excited for this match-up is because I get to see Cutler vs Rivers. Both qb’s seem to have words for each other since those Chargers/Broncos match-ups. Question for the Chargers special teams: do you kick the ball to Devin Hester? The Bears are 3.5 home faves.

Playmaker: It’s gonna be a cold weather game. I like the Bears to win & go over the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Philadelphia vs N.Y. Giants- Both teams are coming off losses. The Eagles had to deal w/ blowing a 4th qtr lead, losing both their stud receivers w/ D Jax benched for missing a special teams meeting while Macklin suffered an injury. Also, Vick suffered cracked ribs & is uncertain for this game. The Giants were just in a dogfight in San Francisco. It’s a divisional battle & the Giants already struck 1st blood by popping them in philly in the 1st match-up. In that same game, Victor Cruz was introduced to the NFL. The Giants are 3.5 home faves.

Playmaker- Regardless of whether it’s Vick or Vince Young starting that game, I don’t like their chances. G. Men & cover the spread

Noez:

Randy:

Monday

Kansas City vs New England- The Pats responded to the NFL world like they usually do after a loss by popping the Jets in their mouth, taking the head to head series this yr, thus giving them the tiebreaker. The Chiefs had to deal w/ not only losing to Tebow & the Broncos @ home, but also having the injury bug hit them again as they lose Cassel for the season. I wonder @ which point the injury bug’s gonna hit Dwayne bowe (sorry Steve, but your team is cursed this yr). The Pats are 14.5 home faves.

Playmaker- Pats & take the Over

Noez:

Randy:

Last week, Noez took the lead dawg position w/ an 11-5 record, rookie Randy right behind him w/ a 10-6 & yours truly riding the bunker w/ 6-10. I’m ready for a bounce back week. Happy b-day shout outs to Lindsay Locke, Jennifer O’ Neil, robin Rodriguez & last but not least, “my lil sis” Dez Clairborne. Also Happy anniversary to you & your husband Chris also. Til then, I’m out & screw Billy Hunter, David Stern & the NBA for putting the average b-ball fan like myself through more hell w/ more cancelations of games, making this season in jeopardy.
